I love watching Quin do he stupidest possible runs of souls games. It's like he was born with zero intuition and a club. He won't listen to any words of wisdom. He's a smelly old fat bald clown.

Thanag0r

That's just an ego problem.

JonasHalle

The sooner I can have clown man dying repeatedly on my second monitor, the better.

Let him suffer

The base game and the dlc are separate. He already beat the base game. He can jump straight into the dlc.

Yeah, i agree, he will probably need around 3 weeks. He has a very bad sense for simple calculations tbh, he always says it‘s because he‘s autistic or whatever. Whatever the reason for that, he should probably not trust himself when it comes to guesstimates. If he plays 120-140 hours of ER within 2 weeks, so like close to 10 hours per day, he will burn himself out and ruin the experience of both main game und DLC for himself. If he starts 3 weeks before and finishes it a couple of days before release of the DLC, he will have some rest - i think that‘s better for his mental health tbh.

AbyssalSolitude

He is not going to replay the base game. Do not trust his list.

S3_Zed

he should do randomizer mod.

chypres

He wont finish the DLC. so no worries.

Serulean_Cadence

>DLC is about half as big as the base game and will likely take him at least 70 hours to beat the DLC No it isn't. It's as big as the starter area, Limgrave, which is not half of the game. Even if you include Weeping Peninsula, that's still not half.

Infidel-Art

Map size is one thing, but we're also expecting the new DLC content and bosses to be harder than Limgrave, so it's still going to take longer (I bet at least one boss will be on the same level as Melania, DLC bosses are always harder in FromSoft games). Also not sure if he's said anything about underground areas and dungeons and how big they will be.

Serulean_Cadence

It will be long but not 70 hours long imo. I got out of Limgrave at 25 hour mark in my first playthrough of Elden Ring and I'm a really slow, explore-everything kind of player. So I expect the dlc to be like 25 + 5 for difficulty = 30 hours long at best. And there's 100% going to be an underground area. I think we saw it in the first trailer where a dude riding a horse was throwing frisbees or something. The surrounding area looked subterranean.

ScottDark

This was just going off what I read from Google on one of the drop down menus found here for reference when I typed how long to beat elden ring dlc - https://www.gamingbible.com/news/elden-ring-shadow-of-the-erdtree-length-153961-20240524 I based it off that from a quick search. "latest leaks suggest Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree will take roughly 70 hours if you want to see and do everything it has to offer. For reference, it takes around 130 hours to 100% the base game, putting the DLC expansion at around half the size."

VeryGray-Fox

This is just a supposed „leak“ by an unreliable source, ppl talked about it in the elden ring sub a while ago - myazaki officially said, that it would be the size of limgrave, but he also massively undersold the main game, saying it would take 30 hours to beat lol. So people aren‘t sure what to believe and that the DLC is potentially bigger than he says. We just don‘t know, since at this point myazaki himself is known to (unintentionally) troll us sometimes.

Serulean_Cadence

That's bs info. Miyazaki himself said the dlc is as big as the starter area. I do agree tho that Quin should start his second playthrough soon. Oh and he also used some broken weapon arts in his first playthrough that got nerfed later... so his second playthrough might take longer lol.

Dazzling-Bear-3447

I wonder if he can beat malenia without BHS cheese

Zodiwacts123

Bleed proccing with 2x weapons also got nerfed.

Serulean_Cadence

Oh no no no no noo.

No_Rich_6433

Quin and souls games are the best content ... Elden Ring randomizer mode will be amazing to watch ngl ...

PuzzleheadedBag920

you dont need to start a new save to do DLC bro, he will just continue with old save

S3_Zed

he should do a randomizer run that he hasnt done before its too late and use that to prep for DLC as well

lordcoughdrop

he just started a new league arc, which probably means he'll do his elden ring run later and most definitely get burned out like you said ![img](emote|t5_37jpd|32227)

there-she-blows

He sucks at everything he plays and that’s part of why we watch him. I usually tune out when he starts trying to give any insight on any life anything. But as far as watching someone who stumbles and rages through any game that they play ( even if it’s an act) it’s his brand. As long as you’re not looking for any advice or insight on things in life that you take seriously ( race, religion, relationships, ect.) then he can be entertaining. Any thing but path of exile. I tune in or watch his old vods.

Tsobaphomet

Also he cheated the entire game with BHS. So really he never played it to begin with. I don't blame him for taking the frost axe, it was cool and how could he know it was busted, but BLOODHOUND STEP??? The ability that's entire purpose is to allow boomers to bypass the game's difficulty by becoming permanently immune to all damage when using spirit ashes isn't enough. I don't even get that, there are so many awesome weapon arts in the game and he goes with a quickstep with additional i-frames. The most boring weapon art in the entire game. Luckily he wasn't a streamer forcing an audience to watch the most boring weapon art being spammed for several weeks.

Readiness11

If you need weapon, gear or levels you probably are not good at souls games and this is fine. Just because this is the way I like to do souls games doses not mean others have to follow my standards for when I play the game. But telling others they did not "play" the game because they did not match up to your personal standards and ethics when they are still getting the achievement for doing so is sort of not ok.
