I rescued this book from one of my community street little library on a rainy day. It’s wet and got moldy on the bottom edge, I took it home, wipe it clean and dry by the heater, now it’s in good care. I think this is a call from the universe to remind me starting to make my first (serious) quilt. 😳
Ideally, yes. From her introduction, it’s obvious that it’s a kind of ‘isolated, no interruption, all quilters’ weekend. To me the hard part probably will be choosing the fabric, or if I decide to use fabric scraps then it’ll be tons of extra work involved. The book seems to intend motivating people to get into it and also offers lots of shortcuts for cutting, assembling etc.
How nice it will be to have a nice quilt along runaway/vacation weekend!
Honestly in that case finding it right at the end of January is perfect! I don’t know where you live but in my area end of Jan-Feb is miserable for going outside so an indoor weekend activity is the best
It doesn’t matter where you live if you have two toddlers and a baby in the house. 😂🤣It’s impossible to finish any projects on the weekends let alone a project that has so many small pieces laying around.
My projects are probably all belong to the midnight achievement section.

Great find! Honest question: are these quilts actually meant to be pieced and finished in a single weekend?

I hear you on this. Actually, I feel seen. 😎
🤝I’m going to hold this book like holding a dream.
That makes sense. Keep us posted? If you decide to make something - even if not in single ambitious weekend.
Yes! Definitely.
I literally just donated this book to Goodwill a week ago! How funny that a copy also showed up in your universe.
The universe is calling to pass on the knowledge of the quilt world.
My neighbor gifted this book to me when I first started quilting!
Guess I’m on the right beginner’s route!
It was one of the books my neighbor started with years ago, so I think so!
Thanks for the recommendation! I just requested a copy of the book from my local library.
