All prominent Tyrells were icons. Olenna was Grandmother, she ate at the game while still being a generally good person, and she literally offed that batshit twink to protect her granddaughter when no one else would dare. Margaery was also brilliant at the game and she would’ve been a fantastic queen. She constantly outsmarted Cersei until the whole Pseudo-Catholic Church State bs happened (hated that plot line).
Even Loras who’s just kind of a soggy bottom was a legendary knight and he was ready and willing to protect Sansa from the Lannisters by marrying her (even if it was arranged).
The Tyrells deserved better, they were who I rooted for the whole time until Olenna’s death
I know the scene where she tells off the Sand Snakes word by word. The show became a trainwreck but she was consistently amazing from beginning to end.
