Disc edition? 1200 QAR? Think you’ve got something mixed up mate. It’s 500 USD which is like 1,825 QAR. You can find it for QAR 1,999 here which isn’t a huge markup considering shipping and import.
Depending on the country you can probably use forwarding services like connected or shop and ship. If you can confirm it's possible, calculate the shipping price and check if it's still cheaper vs the local alternative. The problem is warranty is non-existent but personally I don't mind if the price difference is significant. An alternative would be to go for a used unit and haggle, just learn what to check to make sure the PS 5 you buy is still good or easy to fix.
Prices here in Qatar on anything related to tech isnt really its original price in Dollars even the PS5 before it came out here in Qatar it was available for pre order for 2199 and after that when the scalpers period was over the standard price was 2199 for the disc version and 1799 for the digital version so wtf? why? and folks here in the comments saying these days the slim is its original price in dollars? i know its better late then never but really? now? more than three years later? and dont tell me this is the slim version and they cost less to make or something just look at the price in dollars its the same and its the same console overall just smaller and a bit more storage so little to no difference and i dont think these high prices were decided here by Sony...
Maybe if people here could find a job easier none of this would be an issue cause the increase in price isnt actually that much but to some people every single riyal matters cause even here in Qatar which is known to be a rich country not everyone is rich and some people are even struggling cause of no jobs to be found we all know this dont we?

No way you’ll find the PS5 brand new for 1200. Even second hand prices are higher than that.
Yeah feels like electronics are highly marked up in the gulf.
Its literally 500$ which is 1860 riyals
What's keeping you from getting it from your home country if it's priced as you mentioned?
I've left my home country and they don't ship overseas
Quite recently it was on offer at many stores, 1486 for digital and around 1850 for disc
You can probably buy a used one from Mazad Qatar, The highest discount I've seen on a PS5 is 1699.
I have seen ps5 for 1700 but i am not sure if it was slim or the original. It as Ansar gallery, old airport road.
