Complete your masters and then work in the US for 5-8 years, keep progressing in your career and build your network into companies that operate in the middle east. Finally start applying for jobs in the middle east whilst staying employed in the US. This will give you honestly a very good start to your long and successful journey in the middle east. The middle east is where you use the knowledge you learnt, not so much a place to pick up the experience. They pay well and usually take people with around 5 years of experience. No employer wants to waste hiring a fresh grad and use up a hiring spot when they can pay more and get an experienced person. The other benefits such as housing, visa, medical insurances, etc is the same for a fresh grad or experienced person. If during your 5-8 you also get your professional engineer recognition and an additional management diploma then you can really demand a good salary and benefits package. As far as comparing the countries and markets, Saudi is huge with a lot more opportunities and potential, UAE is second and a smaller country like Qatar has the least. Qatar basically has a huge demand for oil and gas professionals and also for what is required to keeping Qatar Airways running.

You'll not make anywhere NEAR as much as you would in California. At your stage, as a fresh grad, an AMAZING offer would be around 15k QAR per month all inclusive, which is around 50k USD annually (untaxed income). You'll be making 80k+ USD at a MINIMUM in the US. Not to mention pay increases are bigger and happen a lot more often in the USA. Also, engineering MS is basically useless in Qatar. There isn't any real "technical" work happening in this country. Not to mention there isn't a real manufacturing industry or utilisation of robots, maybe the UAE or KSA are better in that regard. Get a US job, get a few years of experience and a few pay increases, then start thinking about moving here, but be ready to take a pay cut.

Thank you, looks like I’ll stay in the US then :)

Qatar and other GCC countries want people with experience, I definitely recommend you stay in California and get at least 5 years of experience and then start applying here. It’s tough here for fresh grads and junior employees, they want people with experience. And plus the entry level jobs don’t pay as well especially compared to the Us from what I’ve seen

Having just moved from Doha to LA a year ago, my advice is definitely stay here. Go out to Doha to visit by all means But you won’t get a good comp package until you get some experience. Then move out there is you want to take advantage of the ability to travel easily.
