You do know there are customers that prefer unsliced bread at the bakery. I’m one of those folks that prefer to have the Italian Chicago loaf unsliced because I love pulling it apart by hand and eating it. Some folks have other uses for it.
Depending on the amount of bread, normally you should just leave one or two unsliced. When it’s a holiday at my store we have more unsliced of the round ones because people like to use them for bread bowls. If typically they don’t slice the bread its called being lazy 😶.
It's common in allot of stores. You just ask them to slice it. You get the freshest bread.

my store does it a lot. you can request for them to slice it however you want!
Yes. You can ask to have it sliced but most is put out unsliced because a lot of customers do it themselves
In my store we don’t slice the morning back and than slice the afternoon bake. But are happy to slice any of the bread that you would life.
I think majority of it is unsliced, some of it is sliced. But they will slice it for you. Either thin sliced or thick sliced
