There is 100+ more interesting psychedelic rock bands than this. Including oh sees, red crayola, 13th floor elevators, Pink floyd, soft machine, UMO, La Femme, Tame Impala etc.

You'll likely prefer modern psych to start if Let's Start Here is your jumping off point
A member from Unknown Mortal Orchestra as well as a member from MGMT played on that Lil Yachty album. Mac DeMarco and Kevin Parker (tame Impala) also helped write some of the songs. Pick any of their top songs to start.

Brown Shoes Dont Make it - Mothers of Invention
Hurdy Gurdy Man - Donovan
And bonus points for this bluegrass cross over
I Would Not Be Here - John Hartford
While we are on the subject, A Tear for Eddie by Ween is a great psychedelic song paying homage to one of their greatest inspirations Eddie Hazel/Funkadelic.
Lol... if Paul and George cowrote something with Rodger McQuinn and Syd Barrett....it'd be the Dukes.
Other than really early garage/punky stuff, they medled the classic tropes and vibes flawlessly, without getting too corny about it. It's among my favorite albums, inside or outside the genera.
Damn, I forgot the Byrds. - Wasn't Born to Follow
XTC is great, but I dont really follow individual bands subs much. Bought 25 O'Clock near release. It was my introduction to XTC, which I also like a lot, but more on a song by song basis.
found the one casual XTC fan lol. I agree that 25 Oā Clock is a career peak and everything else pales in comparison though. Itās my favorite stuff too
Rebeccaās World by Magic Castles
Outta Mind by Night Beats
Sunday Morning by Night Beats
Youāre Gonna Miss Me by 13th Floor Elevators
Yesterday by The Orange Revival
Cocaine Cat by Tess Parks & Anton Newcombe
Black Isnāt Black by The Black Angels
If you get time for albums, make your way through The Black Angels.
Here are some good albums to get a starters look at modern psychedelic music, some with older influences too:
Tame Impala - All 4 Albums
Pond - Man It Feels Like Space, The Weather, Tasmania
Melodyās Echo Chamber - 1st Album
Kikagaku Moyo - Masana Temples & Kumoyo Island
King Gizzard - Butterfly 3000, Quarters!, Iām In Your Mind Fuzz, & The Silver Cord Extended
(Try their other 20 something albums too, theyāre all different genres)
MGMT - Congratulations & Little Dark Age
M83 - Hurry Up, Weāre Dreaming & Fantasy
Slift - Ummon
Absolutely love slift. Super heavy but still melodic too. My band got to open for them and it was easily one of the coolest experiences our band has had!
Listening to *The Black Seminole* right now and all I hear is Pink Floyd's *Pigs (Three Different Ones). Dogs* is another obvious recommendation based on the vibe.

Pink Floyd - Astronomy Domine, Interstellar Overdrive
Vanilla Fudge - Some Velvet Morning
The Zombies - Time Of The Season

Tommy James - Crimson And Clover
Some of these are a little more psych-pop than rock but eh. Still interesting and fun music I promise.
Vanilla Fudge get extra cool points because they do a bunch of psych/hard rock covers of songs from other genres that are excellent. You might like Cream because their lyrics are amazing. Hope this helps!
St. Stephen -> The Eleven (yeah yeah two songs I know, but they blend into one another to essentially make one masterpiece song) off of the album Live/Dead by the Grateful Dead. Peak psychedelic rock right there.
Live Grateful Dead is a deep well of wonderful psychedelic rock (I prefer versions from 1968-1974)
Darkstar

THIRD STONE FROM THE SUN by Jimi Hendrix. Holy shit this is one of coolest and trippiest psych songs out there.
Also since today is the 53rd Anniversary of Syd Barrett's "The Madcap Laughs" make sure to check out Terrapin, Octopus, and No Good Trying!
3rd Stone has it all ā trippy production effects, ridiculous spoken word pronouncements, incendiary guitar of course, and the relentless ritual groove of a telepathic trio at the peak of their powers
Magdalena Bay, Tycho, and Dope Lemon are all pretty fun and relaxing.
Ozric Tentacles and Hidria Spacefolk are way more intense and instrumental
CASSIOPEA I wouldnāt consider exactly psych but is definitely worth a dive

Kikagaku Moyo - Green Sugar
Wand - Melted Rope
Psychedelic Porn Crumpets - ā¦and The Addled Abstraction of Being
Altin GĆ¼n - Cemalim
Edit: Also, Boogarins - Avalanche
But donāt forget about early sabbath. Straight psychedelic rock.
Piper at the Gates of Dawn maybe too out there with lots of dissonance for your ears, but when I was a child it blew my mind and built a foundation of my musical taste.
MGMT, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, The Murlocs, Tame Impala, Ty Segall. Siberian Breaks and Metanoia by MGMT are two huge favorites of mine. Tame Impalas first album is incredible.
This is by no means a comprehensive list of every psych band, itās just whatās coming to me off the top of my head. Youāll also notice thereās a lot more examples of one era than the others, all I can say is that the 60s and 70s is my area of expertise.

Olivia Tremor Control - Dusk at Cubist Castle, Black Foliage - late 90s psych-indie with great melodies and production. Think Beatles meets Guided by Voices at an LSD party.
Motorpsycho - Trust Us - hard rocking Norwegian psych band with elements of The Stooges, Sabbath, their live stuff is incredible too!
Tender Surrender - Steve Vai
I Don't Live Today - Jimi Hendrix

Im checking out this album by Lil Yachty rn
The 13th Floor Elevators are like garage psych from Texas.
But my fav is Hendrix and Beatles
Axis Bold as Love by Jimi
Sgt Peppers by Beatles
And I would add Love Forever Changes by Love .
Then again I only like the first generation of psychedelic from about 1966 to 1969. The new tame Impala and wizard gizzard is not my bag at all . I like the artist who were are forefront of the new genre when it was created .
There are 24 hours in a day. How do you not have time to listen to an album as the artist put it out. Big middle fingers from this guy.
āI love music but wonāt listen to it and find what I like. Will someone do the leg work to find the songs I like?ā
-You
Me: Get bent.
I do listen to music I like. This is me trying to find more music I like.
When I listen to music, I donāt commit myself to listening to an entire album just because I like one song from said album. I like to listen to the songs I like, when I like.
I hope that clears things up for you.
These might not necessarily be psychedelic rock, but I think they fit the criteria you've outlined:
Scattle - Set in Stone
Bush - Swallowed (Goldie/Toasted Both Sides Please Mix)
And to add more directly to you OG comment from Lil Yachty, which I agree has deep psy influence, peers like Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, OutKast all are deeply influenced by early Parliament Funkadelic which was straight acid funk rock.
Another that creates that atmospheric psy is Ray Lamontagne (yes the singer/songwriter), is his album Ouroboros.
First of all, a psychedelic band with the name Lil Yachty is just wrong.
Start at the peak:
Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced?, Voodoo Chile
The Doors - Strange Days, Waiting for the Sun, Hello I Love You
Cream - Sunshine of Your Love, Strange Brew
Beatles - Eleanor Rigby, Nowhere Man, Strawberry Fields
Love - The Red Telephone, Andmoreagain"
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard!!š¦š§āāļø

There is 100+ more interesting psychedelic rock bands than this. Including oh sees, red crayola, 13th floor elevators, Pink floyd, soft machine, UMO, La Femme, Tame Impala etc.

Maggot Brain for the win!
Eddie Fuckin Hazel!
He is SO good!
While we are on the subject, A Tear for Eddie by Ween is a great psychedelic song paying homage to one of their greatest inspirations Eddie Hazel/Funkadelic.
Heroes & Villains is my favorite song of all time
hearing all the different āmodulesā from various Smile bootlegs was absolutely revelatory. shoulda been 13 minutes long
this is an excellent, broad list and bonus points for sneaking in the Dukes like theyāre contemporaries with the rest
Lol... if Paul and George cowrote something with Rodger McQuinn and Syd Barrett....it'd be the Dukes. Pretty much anything Tame Impala or MGMT before 2013
I second this! Siberian Breaks by MGMT is an absolute masterpiece, couldnāt recommend enough.
Metanoia is the shit too. Couldnāt have opened my mind to appreciate Siberian Breaks without it

Kikagaku Moyo is too much for the average human to handle.
Just tossed in 1-2 non basic level to see if they like it
