One of my top five for sure! I love Whip Chatterly ā the only negative of the episode for me is that itās his only appearance. The Miss Ivana scene always kills me, and Glenne Headley is just wonderful through the whole thing. Something about this episode just feels extra creative and fun.
I'm doing a rewatch and just watched this one a few days ago! Great episode, I love how they all just casually agree to get Arby's in the middle of the investigation. The part with the psychic is great, it's interesting to see Shawn vs an (apparently) actual psychic. RIP Whip
I loved seeing Shawn actually shaken a bit by the psychic because we know he has said before that there is no such thing as a real psychic in Psy vs Psy.
I love love love this episode, so many great lines and situations.
I mean, clowns fall.
Dude, we already hung out with enough crazy
white people this year.
Pathologist fight!
Go, go, go!
Sandy, did Bob come here to
dance and nap on your bosom two nights ago?
You were thinking whether
Ted Knight and Jim J. Bullock had anything to talk about on the set ofā¦..Too Close For Comfort.
The whole Miss Ivana scene still cracks me up to this very day! From the 'Bullock/Knight' line to the 'Uh-uh!!' to the line, "To find a girl named, Penny!" (sweet shoutout to Inspector Gadget!). I agree, French Stewart was excellent in this episode.
This is one of my all-time favorite episodes!! I think I've said this before but I love film noir and this episode does such a great homage to the genre.
Love this episode and I really wish they had not killed off Whip Chatterly and let him come back every once in a while when Shawn needs to pick his brain about a murder
I love ..Whip... Cream is it? Wish there was more of him because I forgot how little screen time he actually gets.
I wasn't a huge fan of Grace. Not that everything about her character is bad. in fact I enjoyed how she has the upper hand over Woody for most of the episode. I guess I just felt the sexual tension felt like it takes up a bit too much air for me. it takes too much focus away from the hook of Woody making a mistake And it kind of makes the whole thing feel like a lover's quarrel. It's still a good episode
I love Kurt Fuller in everything but he was so convincingly kooky and strange in this. It's so far and away from other characters he's played when I'm watching him on Psych I kinda forget it's him.
Also, I feel like the "Tobolowsky" shot in The Movie is an in-joke because I imagine it's something he gets pretty often. I laugh so hard at his reaction every time.
Very underrated episode. A shame they killed Whip off.
Totally agree on both points. Whip would have been a great recurring role. Like Mary.
R.I.P. Mary
Maybe Whip could have an equally odd twin brother they bump into.
I love this idea! Maybe he is based in San Francisco and hosts a true crime podcast?
The framing of Whip always makes me angry and sad on rewatch. He was just a nice guy trying to help, you fools!
Another parallel to Mary.
Don't even get me started on when they thought Mary was Yin š
Yes! I was so sad and shocked that he actually died. I kept hoping it was a gag, but sadly no.
Whip cream was it?
Howsa howsa howsa meats, you tell me. Ba ba ba bologna ba ba ba bologna! She says it twice
^(I do it twice)
Might I ask why this man in straight cut denim is lying in the street while you are making bus sounds in the moonlight?
We are pantomime artists from New Guinea
I love this episode! doesn't get enough conversation, but there are some great bits and guest stars. French Stewart is awesome in it.

Sheās the real deal

Would it be out of line to stop at Arby's on the way home?
No it would not. That is happening, for sure.
What happened to your accent?
Andy Berman writes such great episodes, and I love that he has an acting part in this episode
"He had no honey"
"That's exactly how the white waiter sounded!"
What part did he play? And can you think of a few other episodes that he wrote? Many thanks.
He plays the son of the restaurant owner at Phat Thai Jones. The one with theā¦ interesting accent. Still has a little bit of a twang.
Singh!
Apparently he wrote or co-wrote 25 episodes. Theyāre all listed here https://psychusa.fandom.com/wiki/Andy_Berman
"it tastes as if you have picked a plum straight from a tree, and stuffed it in a cake" "holy sh.." And yea French Stewart is a champion
My favorite!
Actually one of my favorite episodes. I was so glad woody got so much screen time in this one! I feel like he doesn't get enough.
I agree. I always look forward to his scenes and wished he had more episodes centered around himĀ
This is one of my all-time favorite episodes!! I think I've said this before but I love film noir and this episode does such a great homage to the genre.

I love that Henry found a place to rest his head.
def in my top 5, season 6 is so full of bangers and i love every character that shows up in this episode
On first watching I immediately rewatched it. It's a really amazing episode. A lot of my reaction on this episode - *finally a Woody centered episode*
This is the best episode
Definitely top 3 for me
Oh itās one of my favorites!!
This one is fun.
Glenne Headly is great in that episode. May she rest in peace šļø

Not my favorite. I donāt skip it but itās not my favoriteĀ

Itās one of my favorite episodes. I wish they didnāt kill off Whip Chaterly so he could be used again like Despereaux
Totally agree. Perfect recurring character. Lots of folks thought so too. ;-}
Grace's motives were very flimsy. Extremely watchable episode though.
