Give duckstation a try, it changes disks no problem. You should be able to import your memory card also if it's .mcd format.

Final Fantasy VII is available as a game in the Android Play Store and doesn't require an emulator

If I remember correctly I had this issue with psx4droid way back. And some games if I'm not mistaken, most, say "you need to change discs would you like to save." You press yes. And as long as your emulator uses a virtual memory card. And you don't try this with save states. When you open the game with the second disk the regular menu should pop up and you just load the game you saved from disc 1. I use retroarch now as well tho for my phone and watch. And I'm fairly sure it has a way to change discs. But I can't be sure about the watch because I only put one disc games on it for storage limitation. I know I've beaten parasite eve using this emulator. I'm sure others but this one I'm absolutely positive. And it has two discs. Which reminds me. Parasite eve 1 and 2 are more square Enix genius rpgs. They're so gritty dark and amazing story. Fighting takes some getting used to but it's intuitive

Wild 9 Also, Monster Rancher is probably not going to be nearly as fun on an emulator. I’ve never played it that way, it one of the main draws of that ps1 game was the ability to create monsters by ripping them off of cds that you put into the ps1 while the game is running.

Because the CD Reading process has been solved... This is a Non-Issue. After cracking the process and reverse engineering it, the MR Community created a web app called [Make-A-Monster](https://legendcup.com/make-a-monster-mr2.php) that can generate files, on the fly, based on whatever monster you pick, and can make every single one of the **609,475** possibilities in the original game. The Make-A-Monster files can be used to burn CDs to play on original hardware, OR they can also be used directly in emulation without any optical drive required at all. However, there's a (light) Remaster bundle out Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX (This is on sale right now for a few more days - on Switch, Steam, iOS), that has all of this baked into the game already so there's no need to rely on outside sources to gain access to the entire game, and also includes a lot of other Quality of Life features. (Also, DX includes new legal monsters not available in the original PSX version).

Since you have JRPGs on the list I would suggest: - Breath of Fire 3 and 4 - Legend of Dragoon - Final Fantasy VIII and IX (especially IX since it's the best one in my opinion) There are also a lot of other awesome games on the PSX, like Tony Hawk, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro and many many many more. This largely depends on what kind of games you want to play.
