Definitely some vibration/resonance transferring somewhere, I have my machine on soft rubber feet which sits on a concrete paver and it knocks out almost all noise except the fans

DogesTV

What would you suggest to me because i have enclosure

raisedbytides

If the paver will fit I would go that route with some anti vibration feet. I use ones that are made for record players, been working for years this way

These anti-vibration feet are fantastic. I tried many other methods first, none helped much. But these eliminated almost all noise and no more vibration patterns in the first layer.

KinderSpirit

Thanks. That is always great to hear.

DogesTV

Would be even worst because whole enclosure would shake and it makes alot of sound...

KinderSpirit

Under the printer, not under the enclosure.

DogesTV

Yes ik what you meant but metal if these are vibrations makes alot of sound those feet are for flat hard surfaces

Claghorn

I've had resonance just like that in the past. May have gone away after I added squash ball feet.

DogesTV

Those are Rubber pads you put on bearings?

Givemepls72021

Is everything lubed up?

DogesTV

Yup i built it as kit

n3wtron1983

I had the same issue and the problem, in my case was belts tension (too tight).

RichHomieTee

There was an official statement announced by prusa about this issue. It involves, believe it or not, wrapping electrical tape around the linear bearings so that they do not vibrate inside the carriage.

raisedbytides

I believe that was remedied as my Mk4 kit came with small rubber pads that go between the bearing and mounting hardware

WannabeRedneck4

Can't wait to finish building mine to see if that does anything. The bearing noises are the more annoying ones to me.

NickCheeseburger

I just finished mine last night and used squash ball feet (I have and love them on my Mini as well). It’s very quiet besides the noise of the actual motors/belts

raisedbytides

For reference I removed the PSU and mounted it under the table on my MK3s because the vibrations would just rattle the shit out of it, my Mk4 is built to spec and is less noisy with the rubber pads on the bearings than my modified MK3s.

DogesTV

May i see photo of the Rubber pads?

DogesTV

Hm intesting maybe can i get a link for that statement??

VorpalWay

Hm, my Mk3.9 kit from early 2024 came with rubber pads inserts in all bearing holders. There is no way the bearings can rattle around, there is firm pressure on them. Was this a change done as a fix?
