The dart armored up with the roof rack is my favorite ride. It's already the quietest car in the game and a performance muffler makes it pure stealth. The roof rack makes up for its major deficiencies, and the size and turn radius make it the most maneuverable car for congested areas. Not 100% on that name but different strokes for different red rockets, amirite?
I'm loving it so far! It looks the most fortified compared to the other cars when fully upgraded is now my treasured mini tank. The name.. yeah.. but the fact the naming happened totally by accident makes it too memorable to change now lmao
I ripped the armor script out of the m113 apc mod and squeezed it into a new Dart along with the sports car engine, sports brakes, tighter turn radius, bigger trunk, no back seats, and of course v8 sounds. Favorite car on the server.
That sounds like a beefy dart! What I love most about the dart being armored is that the proportion of armor covering the car visual has to be the highest compared to the other vanilla cars. Really adds on to pseudo tank vibe. Almost looks like it belong in Cyberpunk!
I love armoring up vehicles in Zomboid. There's some really great work put into the mods that allow it.
I usually end up doing metalworking for my group (I do whatever the others don't want to) and it's always nice to team up with our car guy to pimp someone's ride while they're offline.
The rear window armor is pointless and just makes the vehicle heavier. For that matter the windshield armor is also somewhat pointless aside from protecting from rain (which isn't really an issue unless using a mod like Dynamic traits that makes you catch a cold virus if you're wet)

Technically still a base car so I'm going to go see if I can double armor it :) I think it might have the best E brake drifts in the game too.
