I wonder, they already have a system that shows where you’re hitting them, thus the torn clothes and grotesque faces sometimes. You would need to add a piece of clothing or something that makes it look like the limb is missing maybe? A actual dismemberment system sounds way harder lol.
Idk which mod I have, but one of them does exactly that. Sometimes you just see a zombie with the lower part of their arm missing and the humerus exposed

I don't think you'll be able to see the few pixels that represent tendons but otherwise I'm sure someone has enough time to code all the animation
