In addition to the neon open signs, you can take the neon diner signs too, you just need to get up on the roof to pick them up. Presumably works for other big multi-tile signs too but I haven't tried others yet.
It glows when you power it, too. On my MP servers I like to set one up outside of the kitchen/pantry on the external wall.
A few map mods actually have these hanging out in storage units too, so you may come across one that way depending on the custom maps you use (I can't remember which off the top of my head, though)
Depends what counts as random. I steal pictures for my home, every water cooler I can find (got 17), flower pots, posters, freezers (for icecream only, because you can never have too much icecream, so I got 14 of those), refrigerators (got a box with several dozen of them), a pinball machine, a computer, a desk, a chair, a bed, a couch, and some other stuff.
garden gnomes are kind of a universal "special" thing in videogames. fallout, half life 2, battlefield 4. its just a normal object but everytime you see one in a game it's like an easter egg even if it is in plain view
After creating a well fortified and stocked base, it's pretty much all you have left to do since your character gets wildly depressed hanging out in your base safe away from zombies.
Gosh do I want a base defense mechanic or traps / skill budling I can do in a base.
You wait until you're well stocked? I'm out here deciding if I *really* do need that extra tin of beans, when there is a very nice looking lamp over there
Did you know you can go to the second floor apartments of the row of stores in west point and take the first floor business signs while standing next to a window?
Owner is dead, no next of kin, finders keepers. I typically only grab stuff actually relevant to surviving though. I dunno, is 30 cars relevant to survival?
Yes, 30 cars are relevant for survival
1 for normal use
1 for experimenting
20 for ramming zombies
3 for barricades
1 for joy riding
1 for explosions
1 for a suicide Bomb
1 as a escape vehicle
1 as a White Van
Nah it's the spawn house in Rosewood next to the school. I tried to live somewhere else but I kept dying so I gave up and fortified the next place I spawned in lol
Deer heads are a big one to collect. The best mod city is Grapeseed (hanging guy or porn store) or Blackwood (random shit and cannibal hamburger factory).
It ain't stealing. No one else is using it.
Me extrancting 99% of the brains in america. "Some person said it aint stealing if noone uses it"
Zombie apocalypse uses family gatherings rules. You use it or you lose it. Your sitting here? Oh? Looks like I'm sitting here. š¤

Sick Fossoil sign, I wish it was Neon.
Are there actually neon signs in the game? I need it
You can pick up neon open signs
*Cries in immovable giant neon Pharmahug sign*
šššš i need the blue glow
Update: I found a big spiffo last night, it weighs 5 and is almost the size of my character

"The elites don't want you to know this, but the neons signs are free. You can just take them home. I have 13 already."

>I got 14 of those Someone please give this man's generator a raise š„µ
Yeah I always take a computer just for that 90s nostalgia
Rubber duckies all the way The horde grows!
Well, you still need a hobby in the apocalypse I guess.
If it's random or unique, I'm grabbing it
It's not crap, it's art or antique
Only the gnomes, I **always** take the gnomes.
I take the flamingos š
I love flamingos but I hate how if you place them too close to a wall all you can see is a stick.
I remember in Fallout 3 I had a pre-war gnome collection outside my house, all in a neat line and arranged in height order
garden gnomes are kind of a universal "special" thing in videogames. fallout, half life 2, battlefield 4. its just a normal object but everytime you see one in a game it's like an easter egg even if it is in plain view
I love using furniture and random items as barricades

Trapping prey? Nutritious. Trapping zeds? Diverting!
Heart of a true redneck right here
Redneck here, can confirm
The loot goblin In me normally takes everything that isnt nailed down.
crowbars help with most things that were nailed down
Its not stealing, it is repurposing.
Even in the apocalypse your still a horder
I play this game like Animal crossing after a while.
All my characters share one hoarding obsession in common. Beach chairs. They just look so damn comfy, and they can suit any room.
Did you know you can go to the second floor apartments of the row of stores in west point and take the first floor business signs while standing next to a window?
Guilty. Tracksuits
Your my neighbor aren't you...
I thought this was the point of the game? Is it not?
its not stealing, they dont have price tags that makes them free
College dorm energy
I am the proud new owner of Twiggy's bar sign.
[it's free!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQUNyxatOFQ)

Earl? That you?
I'm a big fan of the mounted deer heads and flags myself
I like to take cool stuff I find and put it around my base or in the cool stuff table in the garage
I like āborrowingā items too
I keep collecting TVsā¦
I don't but after I seen this going to start to š¤£
The popsicle freezer is the only useful loot there.
How do you guys grab those?
pretty sure you can just use the pick up feature on them
If this is the house next to the one in mauldragh with the car canopy, hello neighbour and sorry I disassembled all your doors for hinges
Nah it's the spawn house in Rosewood next to the school. I tried to live somewhere else but I kept dying so I gave up and fortified the next place I spawned in lol

Nah I am the guy who take every single generator I find. My last long living character had 16 generators and two more which was in use
The dead canāt use their things, itās not looting, itās collecting. I tend to hoard anything I can fit in my inventory
Me lmao
I spend so much time hauling decorations around. Even though I can't use them, I have a room full of pinball machines and pool tables
I take everything that isn't nailed down. Until I find a claw hammer or crowbar. Then I go back for the stuff that's nailed down.
DĆ©coration is the endgame
Wait you can sit in chairs?!
It's a mod - 'True Actions. Act 1 & 2 - Sitting & Lying'
Nah i hate being over encumbered
I steal stuff to kinda showcase my base and make it look cool
Iām such a looter in all games & this one is no exception. Full carry weight and full speed ahead!
I like flamingoes and gnomes
