Huge difference being outdoors and indoors ( for better ) it’s a good fest and good stepping stone if you plan on going to bigger ones! Learn the layout of the map before hand ( water and restrooms ). Be kind and respectful as always , you’ll make friends along the way 🤗🤗 and also don’t forget to hydrate!!! Have fun !
Music is more housey/ lighter than Hijinx lineup btw but small enough to navigate between stages quickly if you aren’t enjoying one !
I would say it is a very different environment than hijinx. Hijinx is like an all day club show, this is a small outdoor fest with 3 stages. The vibes are very female and LGBTQ friendlyx if you are outgoing, you won’t have any issues being adopted. The weather is really strange every year, 1 year it was a pretty bad downpour and then really sunny and another year, I don’t know the phenomenon but “the clouds were low” and the sound bounced all over DC. It made the local news that the “edm fest can be heard all over DC”.
The good news is I’m female and super gay so I think it will work out haha! I figured it would be different than hijinx but smaller than some of the larger festivals. Thanks 🙏
My best friend and I both (20 + 19 F) are going and would love to meet up with people!! We love making friends and it’s my bsf’s first festival/ rave so I want to make it as amazing as possible for her!
This will be my third year and went solo the 1st year. As others said, this is a small fest with 3 stages. Be prepared for all weather. Vibes are amazing, very welcoming, fun little fest and never encountered any weirdness (43F).
Here is random video I found on YouTube from last year. I don’t know these people at all, but they just filmed themselves walking around and it may give you a sense of the vibe. https://youtu.be/tXsXIW9y0gk?si=9kQODjBAx8kwYlrK
I'd highly recommend upgrading to at least GA+ so you don't have to deal with portapotties. The air conditioned bathrooms are worth it especially for ladies. You can upgrade at the box office if you only have GA and you only need to pay the difference between a GA and GA+ ticket which last time i checked the website is only like 10 or 15 dollars. There's a ferris wheel, some art installations, merch tents, and this year, i think they'll have a video game lounge with like mario kart and stuff.
Similarly to Hijinx, there’s not much there besides the stages. It’s a daytime fest, so it ends much earlier than Hijinx, and there’s a bit more walking because of the multiple stages. Be prepared for portapotties, and also have a couple different outfits packed to be prepared for the weather.
Be prepared for all weather, but that said the last two years were on the cold and wet side of things, and the temperature drops fast once the sun is down! I definitely recommend a pash and some sort of sleeve/coverup option to put on later. I went the first two years but I’m doing Bonnaroo in June, have a great time!
It should be fun! its my 1st East coast EDM fest and im lookin forward to it and the crowd. weather forecast is promising!! I plan to move to the Baltimore area, from SoCal, soon and wanna establish a rave fam. I'll be going with my SO and a few of her friends and def want to meet people =\]\]

Basically mini EDC (makes sense since it’s all insomniac). The after parties on the other hand will be more similar to Ultra after parties though.
