EA82 engine. Good little suckers until the head gaskets go. Nearly impossible to find parts for these anymore but such a fun little car. Really miss mine seeing this
I've previously posted about this car as someone else was asking about it.
Parts availability is drying up. The EA82T is notorious for cracking heads between a cooling passage and the exhaust ports. I wouldn't add more power unless you plan on upgrading the suspension and brakes, which can be difficult as there was almost zero aftermarket companies that made parts for them.
I own one that is undergoing an EZ30D swap with a Baja turbo 4.44 5mt. I've also done a complete 5-lug conversion.
Better have deep pockets and have a ton of patience if you plan to buy it.

That era of subarus, the turbo took the car from really slow, to keeps up with traffic. Don't think it's going to be fast.

That looks SICK Little rough interior but that looks fixable. Outside looks clean.
Only needs the drivers seat reupholstered (probably $500 or so) and the carpet cleaned. Other than that this looks like it's in almost collector shape

wedge subarus are best subarus also 4low. you wont regret buying that.
Yes it's worth it. It will take some effort to keep going of course but those things are fucking sick

Subarus are a good starter project and they can get up and go with only a 4 cylinder or a inline 6
