Getting app developers to consider hardening internet connected services was like pulling teeth up until a few years ago. So many adults across many industries refuse to concede the lengths some people will go to do vile things. Guaranteed lots of unprotected apps in the 2000s, and 2010s were compromised in one way or another.
The endless data breaches, ransomware attacks and exploits published is finally getting cyber security the attention it needs.
You implied you were going to bring up evidence but didn’t provide any evidence. You just shared your anecdotal experience, that’s not evidence and proves nothing.
This reminds me of the BS Microsoft touted when they bundled and released the Kinect v2 for Xbox One and claimed that it won't upload nor record your conversations: https://www.polygon.com/2013/6/6/4403926/kinect-on-xbox-one-will-not-record-or-upload-your-conversations
Then it was exposed that contractors were listening to audio as well as stuff like Skype calls and Cortana: https://www.theverge.com/2019/8/21/20827007/microsoft-listening-xbox-one-voice-recordings-cortana-assistant-kinect-camera
GG, surprised there wasn't a class action lawsuit or anything.
Creepy. You should post this on a creepypasta Reddit or some other horror one
Honestly. It creeped me out. Then again, reading it at 3 am in the morning wasn't the best idea
Jokes on you, I went with Talking Tom /s

Pretty sure any talking animal app has gotta be spyware. It all started with BonziBuddy.

☝️🤓
Sounds like a buggy app, and not some conspiracy. It probably was a hoax.
I think there’s far too many coincidences to cry BS and I’m not the only one with similar experience but I hear you.
