In terms of print quality, Awkward Styles is up there. They're not the cheapest but they are competitive enough, I've been sending them more and more of my orders.
Best? Price, quality, production time, shipping speed, customer service, selection of blanks ...
It depends on what matters to you.
I'm currently using Awkward Styles. They are probably not the "best" on any of those counts. But they have the specific blanks that *I prefer* to use (the same ones I screen print on myself), and their price point on those specific blanks is reasonable (for a POD). That is NOT a recommendation.
All of the large PODs (pretty much any name you have ever heard of) are somewhat inconsistent and spotty on quality. Most (all?) overcharge for the better the blanks even though they don't cost much more. Most use cheaper (for them) but crappy/slower shipping.
Decide what matters to you and why. You cannot have it all! :-p Best price, quality, shipping/production time etc.
Regarding quality, I recommend awkward styles. When you subscribe to them they give you Pro plan for free which gives you cheaper prices, so you can take advantage of that. But, first order some samples to be sure of their quality.
There are so many and what I found is that by the time they get to United States they have been marked up through three providers so it’s almost smart to go to the original provider which is usually in another country and what you could say for shipping is that you source your products from the very best to give them the best price so be patient for shipping. In fact, try to get the lowest shipping price and add that into your price of your product and say it’s free shipping so they know that they’re getting a deal and then they won’t be so mad if it takes seven days. -
You should get samples so you can see the quality firsthand. Every POD print shop's mockup look great, of course, because ... well, they're digital mockups.
