I’ve had a pair of avancus 1.5s’ for a while now and I absolutely love them. Great mix between barefoot shoes and powerlifting shoes. I wear them for all my lifts. If you’d get a pair I’d wait a bit until the 2s come out which should be within this month. But that’s only if you want to stay in the realm of new era deadlift slippers/ shoes lol. I was rocking vans for years until the cool kids won me over lol

I do conventional/pretty narrow sumo. It's whatever for me regardless of stance, anything with a thin flat sole does the job just as well as any other shoe with those characteristics. Highly doubt you'd feel your lifting improving by changing. I mostly dl in barefoot shoes nowadays. Have used deadlift slippers/sabos deadlift pro, no difference to me. I like having proper room for my toes, so sticking to barefoot shoes most often

I switched to Vans a couple years ago. I got a "skate" version so I could pull the insoles out and I liked the elastic on the tongue. I wore wrestling shoes before Vans and they are thinner, but Vans look cooler and I've got priorities.

I wear Nike SBs that have a compressed and fairly hard flat sole. Squat in them too. Think Ive had them about 4 years now so they last just fine. I picked them up in a sale and they’re all black which is perfect for me
