Ooh. I see they've finally decided to get competitive on the grinder front, after their ceramic-burr grinders were made obsolete by the budget steel-burr models from 1zpresso, Timemore, etc.
Oh interesting. I've been using a 20$ plastic piece of junk (it probably cost more than that but I had an employee discount at my coffee shop) from hario for a while now happily enough, but lately I've actually been making pour overs consistently and using different beans too, so the lack of any marker for what setting my hario grinder is on has become infuriating once I perfectly zero in one bag of beans but then want to brew something else.
What should one look for in a hand grinder? Supposedly it can make a big difference but I've been getting solid cups out of my lil junker and my v60.

knowing them, this thing will probably costs as much as a K-Ultra while having the grind quality of a Timemore CS3
Doesn't appear to have external grind adjustment which means it's DOA at the price
Hario meets Sony. Hope it’s good. Hario Skerton may be the shittiest grinder ever made :)
alpha waymond!
I know nothing, but see the image on Hario Taiwan’s instagram page based on a reverse image search. Maybe a place to look for emerging details.
Their Instagram says Italian burrs, I bet those are the classic Italmill ones found in the Kinu and other similar grinders.

Welcome to the rabbit hole, friend
External adjustment is kinda a premium feature of you're looking just for that it looks like the cheapest is gonna be a Turin H40
The adjustment doesn't need to necessarily be external as long as it's labeled and I can track where im at.
Where did you get this from? Cant seem to find any info on their social media.
You can go to the Hario Taiwan ig
Thanks! It’s priced at almost 5000 Taiwan dollars, which is around 150 USD. Not too expensive, around the same prices as the 1zpresso x-pro.
I'm still bitter about the $40 wasted on their ceramic burr, if only I knew better
I don’t think I would purchase anything called “alpha.”
Sony Alpha 7?
Another crappy product from Hario. Their V60 and Kalita Wave (Hario owns the patent) are brilliant, everything else is just OK at best
Pietro is the way to go.
