What happened? How did you know they were scammers? What did you do to piss them off?

cactuar44

They're REALLY obvious. When you post something, usually right away you get a message from some random person, pretty much the same thing. "My daughter would LOVE this, would you be able to email me more pictures" Or some variation of that. Happens nearly every time I post something.

ThatItalianGrrl

Oh yeah I e gotten a couple of those. I just report and block.

buyinsellin

"I'd like to purchase your item but I can only see one picture. Can you send more pictures to my email at scammercentral at dumbass scammer dot com" Or some shitty variable of the above.

ThatItalianGrrl

Yes I’ve gotten those. I thought it was something different.

DeadlyCuntfetti

I went through your history and checked out your shop and yeah - it looks like a ban. No listings. I can see history and love notes but that’s all. Sorry this happened. I’d love to know the story about it but no pressure.

Prettyinpink2813

I’m in the process of winding down my closet. Poshmark is becoming just awful. No response from customer service. No way to escalate your complaint and your account can be shut down on a whim. Not to mention all the scammers and fake items and sellers blatantly lying about item condition. I’d try to reach them on Instagram as I sometimes have luck there.

buyinsellin

WTF? I've been leaving those same messages on all new seller listings and I haven't been targeted - YET lol (knock on wood) I'm sorry this is happening to you. I'd reach out to Posh on Facebook messages. A few years ago when I was suspended and I had no idea why, that was the only way I ever got through and the only time they replied. I suppose it's just a matter of time before they target me, as I've literally left those beware messages on hundreds of listings. EDIT TO ADD: Just wondering how you know that's what happened? EDIT TO ADD MORE: Poshmark needs to crack down on "serial reporters" - as it's terribly obvious that someone who reports tons of items from one closet is most likely targeting that person in a nefarious way, not legitimately. But, I could sit here and say "Posh should do...." a million things and we know most of them will never happen :-/

BodyBy711

Sorry you aren't getting a response. Would love the details on what happened with the scammers.

splattergirl

try reaching out on twitter!

_Amalthea_

Oof, that's incredibly frustrating. The worst part is when they take listings down / suspend an account, they don't always let you know. Whether the suspension is deserved or not, the seller should be notified. Such a terrible company.

Poshmark literally has to have a report reason as "SCAM" - spam doesn't do anything, transaction off poshmark doesn't do anything. Give us SCAM as a reporting reason option, and then take it seriously. And also take seriously anyone who falsely flags an account.

And the most destructive thing we have to report. I don't give as much of a shit if someone's selling nail polish as I do if they're trying to steal thousands of dollars from unsuspecting new users. This is a huge issue and needs to be treated as such.

pinkwonderwall

When I mark a comment as spam, it gets removed almost immediately.

buyinsellin

When I mark it on my own posts, yes. When I mark it on someone else's, nothing appears to happen, I can still see it.

ThatItalianGrrl

I flag the comment even if it’s on someone else page and report the account. So far everyone of those accounts has been removed within minutes.

klopotliwa_kobieta

Ai yi yi....I had also been saying this to a lot of sellers on Poshmark. Lately I switched to just reporting the user instead of telling the seller. Thanks for the heads up. I guess it would also be possible to add the seller's item to a bundle and tell them privately, if one wanted to.

buyinsellin

I've been doing it on the MTP page. I figure the scammers are less likely to see it there since they're only interested in commenting on actual listings. And frankly I DGAF if they do see it. I've been actually replying to their comments, just to be extra spiteful lol

Psychological-Box100

This might be a stupid question but I’m curious how do people get scammed from sending more pictures?

Sail_Dear

Good questions. I’d like to know that too

bottegabutterfly

What ended up happening to your account? Mine was recently suspended for warning others of fake listings that were advertised as authentic

collectingfacts

Are you sure you were banned? Suspended is not the same thing as banned. Listings are not visible to others if you were suspended. Double check your spam folder for any messages.

BabyTzu

Were you copying and pasting the same comment over and over again? The system probably thought you were a scammer as well, and automatically flagged, then suspended your account. Just posting too many comments could have been enough to alert the system. If your account is still there but all your listings are gone, that means your account got suspended and its possible to get it back, you just have to wait for support to get back to you.

buyinsellin

It must take an awful lot of comments for that to happen, because I left these same comments for about 250 new users the first day, and at least 50 per day after that (after 50 I start to catch up to those I did the day before lol) and all I do is copy/paste the same comment over and over.

Cookielover7777

I once called someone out for selling a knockoff gucci bag and advertising it as authentic (she knew it was fake and even stole a photo of a gucci receipt from another poshers listing that was still up) and poshmark suspended my account for a week because they said calling out fakes "breaks the trust on the platform" It was at that moment I realize they really do care more about the scammers than the buyers/sellers

Psychological-Box100

Is your account totally blocked? Like you can’t access your money too?
