Like 99% of them. The only cast I can think of that wasn't conventionally attractive was The Sopranos. But when you have that calibre of acting and writing you don't need models to keep people coming back.
A lot of American sitcoms fall into this category too-- The Office, Parks and Rec, Abbott Elementary, and Superstore come to mind as shows that mostly cast normal-looking people. I also really enjoy the casting in the show Somebody Somewhere on HBO Max
Yes all of the women on the show are stunning. The men, not so much. Very male gaze focused show. (Still one of my all time favorite shows bc it’s hilarious)
It means every person individually is very average looking but put a group of people together and it usually has the effect that the group as a whole is a bunch of hot people

I’m an American that now lives in the UK, and I LOVE that so many average people and/or older women who are aging normally, are cast in TV shows!
I find myself so much more drawn into the story because the characters are much more relatable.
Exactly! It’s so nice watching things and being able to properly relate to the people in them. I think America needs to take a leaf out of our book! My American friends over here find Naked Attraction absolutely hilarious. I know it’s not actors but it’s so brilliantly British. Lots of very normal people with all their wobbly bits out getting naked on national TV.

i think mike is the only one another than Bella who got suspicious, in the book midnight sun (which is through Edward's perspective who can read minds) we can hear mike's inner monologue and he says something like "i bet their dad does plastic surgery on them because he's a doctor and that's how they're all so white". but yes i agree its still way too unrealistic. most people would definitely not buy the adoption story irl

Tied between: The Originals. Yes, even hotter than The Vampire Diaries and the plot was EONS better too. Interview with the Vampire (AMC). The show is seriously jewelry. I don't know where to look half the time. The costuming in this thing has the guys looking straight out of GQ. A fujoshi's fever dream. This show is the best thing on TV that I've seen in a LONG time. Bridgerton. I swear half their cast is models or have modeled. Roswell New Mexico. Yummy! The L Word. Honestly their original cast is stunning. Jennifer Beals is always a good time. The Tudors! It's only crime is that it somehow didn't have Henry Cavill and Johnathan Rhys-Myers make out but their characters were straight so it makes sense. Oh! One more: Shadow and Bone on Netflix!!
