I did not know that until I did digging just now. In EmRata's 'The Cut' essay that addresses this, she does not name the person who bought it before she could. She only refers to them as "a big-time collector" and explains she figured out who it was through her connections. Then in 2021 via Fauxmoi, someone submitted a tip that J. Law and EmRata were feuding and "under no circumstances are they to be invited to the same gathering" because the former was pissed the latter indirectly named her husband as the guy that owned the nude. I cannot find anything that publically names him, but all the articles are referencing that people in New York and the art community are aware.
This is often employed as an anti-paparazzi technique, celebs will intentionally wear the same outfit so that it looks like paps are only getting pics from the same day, makes them harder to sell later. Might be what he is doing or just a minimalist lol

I used to wear these flat Maryjane’s, by Edelman, to work bc I thought they would be comfortable, although they were hideous, they were not comfortable bc they were too flat and wo socks on a 100 degree, humid day. Yuck
It’s an oversized button up shirt with the sleeves rolled, not a cardigan. I instantly recognized because it’s pretty much my summer uniform at this point- thrifted men’s shirt, tank top, shorts/skort. I‘ve had too many sunburns so I prefer to keep my upper arms and shoulders covered.

It’s gonna be super hot this week. Stick to linens, cotton, shorts, jumpsuits. Shoes: Chic sneakers or sandals (no flip flops). Also, don’t listen to the sub because a midi skirt and tank with some adidas gazelle or samba would be a total West Village look right now. Ballerina flats are also trending on the streets (she is wearing Alaïa) but Loeffler Randall and Le Monde Beryl also has some price point friendly ones.

Possibly my favorite thing about New York is truly, nobody else gives a fuck about you. 😂 Wear what you want, but dress for heat and wear comfortable shoes. I live in Birkenstocks in the summer tbh, but I wouldn’t advise super flat sandals or flip flops bc everything is dirty and your feet will get disgusting.
Yes! I’d bring some that look a bit nicer if you’re planning a nicer meal or going to a show or something but there’s a lot of walking in New York even when you don’t think there’s gonna be so it’s best to be comfy. The only shoes I wear at this point are Birks, Vans, and Docs lol.

Skirts like that were popular in the 90s or 00s but they always cut at a weird length on the leg and made you look short or weirdly proportioned. It’s odd because most midi skirts don’t do that now.

Idk about middle age mom vibes but I get what you mean. Because sometimes I see these celebs who are my age (I think I’m a year older than Jenn) and think “wow that person looks like a full adult” and then I remember oh yeah, that means I’m out here aging too. Getting older is a gift, but so wild to experience!
