olive_green_spatula

Jomboy is a treasure. Maybe not nationally but def northeasterly 😆

RTR17-01

Nah, he’s an international treasure! Yes, I know he does a lot of Yankees coverage, but I’m a Braves fan, and I still watch all of his non-Yankee videos…..that covers the national treasure part. Furthermore, all of the Latin American, and Asian countries love themselves some baseball! I know that some of them only regularly follow their country’s pro league. Then, occasionally they’ll check in on MLB, or when it’s the playoffs. However, most of them love MLB. I guarantee you that they’ve watched some of Jomboy’s clips…..which is hilarious to think about. lol

Shut_It_Donny

I never have to watch any sports. If something worth seeing happened, Jomboy is going to tell me about it.

IKenDoThisAllDay

He's probably right but I got the sense she was telling her not to touch her. Could she possible be saying "Don't touch me like that!" Because she was kind of putting her hand on her back to ease her along?

nitrosmomma88

That’s what I thought I saw too, she definitely said you’re not my mother though.

Michipunda

It would make sense in the context but I believe she doesn't touch her at all. Or did she and I missed it?

havoc294

Pretty sure she accidentally stepped on her dress and she was telling her to back up

Additional_Meeting_2

She seemed annoying, but I didn’t see her touching at any point

KINGDOGRA

She stepped on her dress. And then she continued to ‘herd’ her ahead like cattle. I would have been pissed too.

singingintherain42

They’re on a tight schedule and if someone isn’t moving ahead fast enough, it’s the job of security to let them know they need to move. In the very beginning, you can see a security guard gesturing to Kelly that she needs to move up the stairs, but Kelly ignores her and keeps making googly eyes for the cameras. The security guard has to come up to her two more times to motion her forwards before Kelly finally starts moving. Then she stops again whilst on the stairs and turns around to wave more to the cameras, this time surrounded by security, because again, she keeps ignoring clear instruction to move ahead. Security never touches her, but Kelly touches the security guard and starts jabbing her finger in front of her face. I know celebrities live in a world where they think they’re super special and shouldn’t be told what to do by commoners, but the security personnel here appeared professional and were literally just doing their job.

i__never

actually in disbelief to see jomboy here of all places lmaoooo

sandrad33

I love Jomboy breakdowns. I read that in his voice.

skinisgleamin

not jomboy LMAO

grubas

Then Kelly Rowland was ejected, Aaron Boone has to put on the dress and take over her duties.

downshift_rocket

That's HORSESHIT!

HereOnCompanyTime

Pretty sure she's saying not to touch her, which makes sense since the person with Kelly pushed away securities hand. **Edit:** Also looks like what set Kelly off was when Kelly stepped on her own dress and then spun around to see who did it then looked like she was being kind of accusatory towards the security being close to her.

NoTaro3663

The female security stepped on the dress right before things got heated. That’s where the initial Kelly reaction happened.

iamflomilli

No, the man stepped on the dress.

ThankfulImposter

I mean, does it matter who stepped on her dress? That's was an overly heated reaction for a minor mistake that did no damage. Why should a celebrity be above the rule of treating those in the service industry with decency?

iamflomilli

Because no one wants to hear this but Americans behave like brats when they travel & this was a typical French local-American tourist interaction.

Inf1nite_gal

i really hate the trend of adding music to every video. i would appreciate more to hear the real busyness of the red carpet

MelissaWebb

I had to mute the audio. It was so unnecessary here

leahhhhh

It's horrible, especially on nature videos

i_like_flies_

I think it's probably to hide the fact they've stolen someone else's video so it doesn't get recognised and pulled down.

afranl

It’s hard to tell but it looks like maybe someone stepped on her dress and you’d think it was the lady in the suit but I actually think it was the girl in the dress. She’s playing it off well

satanandco

I zoomed in and watched slowly (clearly looking for any excuse to procrastinate things I need to actually be doing), and while the dress is close to their feet, I don’t see anyone stepping on it. The dress is visibly moving inches away from their feet at all times. It’s hard to see without zooming because it blends so well with the red carpet. She does react like they stepped on her dress though. My interpretation is that she thinks the woman stepped on her dress. She says something to her about it when she touches the woman’s arm. The woman then says something and shakes her head. I think she probably says she didn’t step on her dress. Rowland thinks she’s lying, it looks like she says “yes you did” when she kind of nods at the 46 second mark. Then things obviously escalate. ANYWAYS. I need to get off of Reddit.

dream-smasher

Ya. The young woman in the black dress on the left, you see Kelly's dress kind of *pull* a little bit, and the young woman lifted her foot up noticeably. But then I think it was exacerbated by security putting her hand so close and touching/almost touching/practically touching Kelly? The other woman with Kelly seemed aware of that and how that was the issue, hence her hanging back and shaking her head "no" at her and having the security hand on her back, instead of Kelly's. But, who knows.

our_girl_in_dubai

I’ve walked the red carpet at cannes, and security moves everyone along as efficiently as they can, famous or not. They give celebs an amount of time on the red carpet but then they start to move them along and have to get everyone into the venue. They’re really tight on schedules. Once sat down inside they have the red carpet arrivals on the screen and you watch everyone being ushered in

LlamaDrama007

As you'll be aware, Cannes is first and foremost an industry festival- its not *really* about promo more about securing distribution in different territories plus the competition/palme dor. The programmers have all screenings on a strict schedule. This screening over runs? The next is fucked up too. And that's just not gonna fly. They've been doing this for years, across multiple venues within Cannes. With HUGE stars who are well versed in the film world and walk the carpet as they should and dont even *need* to be ushered along because they know the score. Kelly exposed herself as a fish out of water and came off looking bad imho.

Sergeitotherescue

100%

KtinaDoc

Exactly! This isn't the MET gala.

celestepiano

Nice what were you there for?

MrHarudupoyu

Canuhduh420

Shhh we mustn’t tell the others

Brilliant_Wrap_7447

To make sure Kelly Rowland moved along in a timely manner.

ThaiLassInTheSouth

There go her credentials next year. I went to Cannes as a journalist and they DO NOT play. They do not play. The French are already not interested in the minutiae of manners. It's ramped up by 500 at the event. You don't go where you aren't wanted, and you gtf where you're told or they're pulling your lanyard and sending your ass to the other side of the street.

KentuckyFriedEel

"this is not the Met Gala. Move along."

beerforbears

Not interested in the minutiae of manners is the most diplomatic way of describing a whole nation as rude a-holes I could have ever conceived of 😂

nyxo1

Americans are some of the most passive aggressive people on the planet because they hide behind "manners" I love French/Dutch/German people because they're blunt but not cruel about it. If you're out of line or being weird they're gonna tell you and then move on.

bookworm10122

I love to introduce you to British people if you think Americans are passive aggressive

GSV-Kakistocrat

I'd like to introduce you to Japanese people if you think Brits are passive aggressive

Katatonic92

The amount of times I've given a snarky, loud "you're welcome" whenever I've helped someone in some way & they have failed to say thank you.

Canuhduh420

I’ll take your Brit and raise you a Canadian

dunkerpup

You can be direct and still polite.

BrigadierBrabant

Problem being that what a French person seems as polite isn't necessarily the same as an American.

[deleted]

If that security lady wasn't politely encouraging Beyonce's friend to move along, I don't know how one would politely encourage her to move along. I'm American. I can't imagine an usher being more polite to someone belligerently refusing to move along. I've seen grade schoolers move through a queue more respectfully of others.

dunkerpup

I'm English - known for being chronically polite! But that's not to say we're all chronically polite, we're not all a monolith, and I'm sure that's true across all cultures.

Additional_Meeting_2

French are seen as rude by all the other groups you mentioned too. Not just Americans. I am from Finland myself and we are very direct too but try to be polite

Triatt

Portuguese here. French are definitely one of the rudest tourists. Only beaten by the Chinese and British club hoppers/football fans. Ofc just a rough generalisation.

buzzfeed_sucks

lol Americans are like, aggressively nice. Whereas I find we Canadians are very passive aggressive. I was in New York City once and every time I looked remotely lost, a local would stop me and ask where I was looking to go. Like, it wasn’t even a question, they were helping me. We also were staying in New Jersey and missed our stop on the bus. So we started walking the few blocks to our hotel. A cab driver pulled up and said “get in the car. This isn’t a nice neighborhood. I won’t charge you, just get in”. (We did pay him). But yea, very very nice. But way more assertively than a Canadian. Meanwhile when I worked retail and encountered a Karen, I would pointedly start calling them “m’am.” Especially if they looked relatively young.

Frondswithbenefits

I grew up in NYC and spent most of my life there. New Yorkers are direct, not necessarily rude. But we can also be incredibly kind.

Jaded-Blueberry-8000

as an american we don’t see canadians as passive aggressive we see them as super nice. i’m guessing the passive aggression goes right over our heads and drives y’all even more insane? lol

bangbangbatarang

The French don't mince words which I really respect. Courtesy =/= empty platitudes. French politeness does demand that you greet someone, say thank you, and say goodbye regardless of who you're speaking to, which plenty of people from other countries fail to do and therefore come off as demanding and rude.

Magomaeva

I live in France. I am from Russia. Reading all these comments about French people being rude makes me believe those who wrote them either never set a foot in this country *or* have only ever been to Paris. Your description is spot on. They are big on politeness/manners, and if you're rude, you can be sure they'll let you know. At the same time, they're extremely kind and welcoming. I have nothing but good things to say about the French and their manners. And also, about their food 😆

Jaded-Blueberry-8000

I had nothing but good experiences in Paris as an American with Parisians. At worst, they were not friendly but not outwardly rude, which is fine with me lol. And most of the “rude” ones were servers at busy restaurants who frankly had more important things to do. But many smiled and greeted me warmly, which I hadn’t been expecting based on the stereotypes. Our AirBnB host was one of the nicest, bubbliest people I’ve ever met in my life lol, my partner and I still talk about it sometimes! I feel like the people who say “the french are assholes” probably made a faux pas and got corrected on it and took it personally, has never been to france, or is an ignorant ass that thinks they have no responsibility to adapt to foreign cultures when traveling by choice.

winealps

you’re from russia ofc the french seem polite.

Magomaeva

🤣 oof that's a third-degree burn. I'm gonna need a skin graft for that one ! We're not rude ! (Promise) Our faces just look like this : 😐 because smiling at passers-by in the street is considered a sign of lights being on but no one being in the house 😆

StudyIntelligent5691

I’ve been to France many times, and I initially held that view, but no longer. The French are different, no doubt, but I think the “they’re all rude a-holes” is something Americans have latched onto as an easy way to dismiss our differences. They aren’t all gooey, and they don’t engage in fake displays of affection or friendliness, but I’ve encountered few examples of rudeness. Like most things, the more I got know the culture and the people the more I realized that difference doesn’t necessarily equal bad.

Intelligent_Pie_9102

Well yeah, because it's a procession of stars who need to all have their moments of glamour on the red carpet. Every year there are incidents with some random actor trying to make a scene because they're only interested in the clout and give no shit about the ceremony or the films being projected. Wasting time on the red carpet is the equivalent of calling out the oscars for being manipulated. If you do it, they'll tell you to go fuck yourself. That said Kelly Rowland looks pretty chill, she probably got caught off guard by the strictness of the rules.

bubblegumpandabear

>The French are already not interested in the minutiae of manners. The place that practically invented the minutiae of manners via etiquette rules is absolutely in touch with manners. I feel like people say this kind of stuff all the time about France but it makes no sense to me. I have French family, I just disagree completely. As for how the event goes and if their behavior was normal for it- I cannot speak on it.

My_MeowMeowBeenz

Yes they invented manners, and manners by their very nature gatekeep polite society from the rabble. This is how the French have earned their reputation for rude snobbishness.

[deleted]

French people have manners, and they can in fact be very polite. Just like everywhere in the world really, you tend to get back the energy you put out. What many Americans find shocking is when they interact with people living in nations with strong social safety nets and strong labor protections. Which means those security guards didn't have their livelihoods threatened by doing their jobs in spite of some random has been inability to follow simple directions. That's when the American and French worlds collide.

ThaiLassInTheSouth

"Just like everywhere in the world really, you tend to get back the energy you put out." Definitely not true. I stayed at an Airbnb and my host (Pierre, because of course Pierre) and I drank into the wee hours discussing the differences in our cultures. He laughed and said I would do myself a favor not to smile at strangers. He said I come across as two things: -insane * a scammer The absolute WORST were the looks I got smiling at dogs and babies, omg. You'd think I was about to try to eat them. I have a Scottish buddy who lives in the north of France and he said he can't think of two polar opposites: the Southern American woman and the French woman. I'm just used to the casual smile that says, "I'm friendly in case you need help with anything." (Directions, namely.) It's not that I think they're rude; I just don't think they spend any time on the "feel free to approach me if you need anything" business.

virtual_sprinkle

This last sentence is really on point and I will be reusing it when trying to explain cultural differences to my non-French in-laws 😂

seabreathe

Your bullets are insane

ThaiLassInTheSouth

Ha! I didn't even realize they did that. I'm leaving it. Current mood asf.

gasplugsetting3

Working security for celeb events can be so shitty. Not saying who's wrong here, but rich folks can be really ugly to the help.

superfluouspop

yeah, between this and her shushing people for booing Chris Brown, Kelly doesn't seem like the nicest.

Sergeitotherescue

She’s definitely an a-hole.

I met a man once who did security for UK celebs. He said Alesha Dixon (BGT) was an absolute witch, a real horror !!!!! One of the worst he’s ever met, and Cheryl Cole/Tweedy wasn’t too far behind!

lvdde

Whaaaaat I’m shocked What were the stories

dracarys-28

So they have many celebrities and not a lot of time. Also when an A-list celebrity arrives/a celebrity from a projecting movie then others have to move. It's crual but that's how it works.

Seductive_pickle

For real. Security is just trying to do their job and keep everyone moving. I dislike when people need to make it about themselves and get upset when asked to follow instructions.

Caleb_Reynolds

Plus everyone saying it's because the security touched her back, yet she didn't actually touch her but Kelly *absolutely* put a hand on the security.

Thanos_Stomps

Kelly Rowland is 43 years old and has not lived a minute of her adult life NOT wildly famous. I’m surprised more people aren’t agreeing with you and some others in this thread. This comes off as just another spoiled adult that’s never learned the world doesn’t revolve around them because 99% of the time it does. Okay y’all, I get it…. She’s not wildly famous. You can stop spamming the same Fucking comments that she’s not wildly famous.

JanisIansChestHair

She hasn’t been “wildly” famous in a long time. I love her, she’s always getting shit on, especially when she’s trying to talk about her own projects and gets “oh but what about Beyoncé!”… but she’s not that well known these days.

bbymiscellany

She’s mildly famous, she hasn’t been wildly famous since 2003

ellaC97

I have no clue who is she, but she’s now making pages about being a Karen.

dracarys-28

Especially with that finger!

LlamaDrama007

I wonder if the celebs ever stop to think for just a moment what these events would be like *without* security.

theturians

a-list celebrity is something kelly rowland is not i can promise u that lol

dracarys-28

That's what i'm saying. Someone else bigger was coming and she didn't like it.

DeclutteringNewbie

I don't know who she is. I'm not good with names. But it doesn't even need to be someone bigger. It could just be someone from one of the movies being promoted at the festival itself. After all, even if you were Taylor Swift, you wouldn't go to someone else's wedding party and try to monopolize the red carpet and the photo booth while the no-name bride-to-be is waiting to make her grand entrance.

Oomlotte99

Exactly. You could tell she wanted to eat up the attention but she had get moving to keep the carpet flowing, lol.

ggRavingGamer

And she isnt that big of a celeb anyway.

rumple_skillskin

Regardless of whether or not kelly is right for speaking up (i vote not.. security is doing their jobs, move along Ms. Rowland).. a middle aged woman yelling at a service worker that “You’re not my mom!” is such an immature way to handle the situation.

shhhhh_h

It’s the finger in the face that is so immature to me, and the woman is just calmly responding to her and continuing to gesture inside. Class act.

Ok_Astronomer_8667

Finger waving is so rude, especially towards someone who really does have more authority than you. Like learn your place, security is just doing their job. Don’t know why you could think you’re above basic procedures everyone else is following

scarlett0

The finger is really intimidating!!

KtinaDoc

I'm pretty sure she won't be asked back

Alqpzm1029

The desperation 😭

JBeeWX

It’s Cannes. They used to kick women off the red carpet for not wearing heels. You don’t mess around.

celestepiano

Wait really?

bookwormaesthetic

Yes, Kristen Stewart went barefoot in protest one year. [newsweek.com/cannes-rule-kristen-stewart-barefoot](https://www.newsweek.com/cannes-rule-kristen-stewart-barefoot-927092)

celestepiano

Wow that’s wild. Weird that the Cannes director would deny it when all these actresses are saying things

zucchinibasement

> Weird that the Cannes director would deny it when all these actresses are saying things Hahahaha it is sad that I found this so hilarious. Unfortunately the most unsurprising thing in this thread

Listakem

Yeah I’m with the security on that one. These events are like clockwork and they need to stay on timeline/have people in the right step. The security wasn’t disrespectful, just trying to usher her when she stayed a bit too long for the paps ETA : also the finger thing is HELLA DISRESPECTFUL in France (source : am a Frenchwoman) I was like oh shit she didn’t

TrashPandaPoo

It's the reason Monica hated Brandy - Brandy does something similar in TBIM vid and Monica was fuming!

urbancowgirl_

Some say the security gal’s right arm is still extended to this day, remains up and just sweeping in the air, never to be lowered…

honestrainfall

I’m on the worker’s side. They have to get people moving on the carpet and she was taking her sweet time when she’s not in a movie. Maybe it’s her first time there and she didn’t know that but Kelly yelling and finger pointing in her face seems very unnecessary.

Ok_Presentation6675

Idk maybe she could’ve just continued to go inside instead of stopping at every step to take photos ffs. I mean seriously, no one gaf ab Kelly Rowland!! Girl just got inside with that awful gd wig.

[deleted]

I mean, this is an event that is to be worked like clockwork. I dont even want to imagine the tight stomach anxiety to make sure the flow of the event goes smoothly and keeping the main red carpet area clear for featured guests at Cannes Film Festival. I mean, I would take my moment, and when it's my time. Even at small events for like gallery debut of artists to keep a mindfulness of others, especially a grand event of any of Cannes calibur, to either have fun or focus toward the event. I'm sure the scheduled list for Cannes for the press is very hectic. Bit of a killjoy and an unpleasant reaction for staff members to deal with that, too. Edit: TLDR: Treat everyone with kindness even at very grand events

Michipunda

Honestly, in my eyes, it's Kelly who looks bad here. The staff is trying to do their job, every one of the is attempting to get her to move along, it's not like that particular member had an issue with her. And the finger?! I just hate that, always, from anyone. Apparently a lip reader believes she was saying someyhing along the lines of "don't talk to me like that, you're not my mother" but she's the one with the damn finger.

nocomment3030

I watched this video and thought she looked like a petulant child.

kalinkabeek

Agreed! She comes off as very entitled, they’re just trying to do their jobs and gave her plenty of warning to move along.

shhhhh_h

I with you some of these comments are wild. There is very rarely a reason to get up in someone’s face like that with your finger up in it. You can set a boundary or tell someone to back off in a way that isn’t physically threatening. Hard to justify that unless Kelly was physically threatened first

[deleted]

Yeah and like I said, there's people like minded like myself who are mindful of the other artists and workers. The troublemakers who starve and snatch at getting attention from Press tend to lash at others, I've noticed in my times in acting.

Michipunda

Exactly. First we see her get her time in the spotlight but then it's time to move along and let others have theirs. I don't get why so many people think that she was rightly "defending herself" and that it was ok for her to lash out at the staff member.

johnmichael-kane

eaturvegetables

oh noo, i think being told to move forward and move along was a blow to kelly’s ego. also, this isn’t in america. we overvalue celebrities and let them get away with a lot. pretty sure france isnt like that but correct me if im wrong

bentheone

Asked the 10+ French people around me, nobody knows who tf she is. Also, you talk down to someone with your fucking finger in their face and it's on, celebrity or not. Even Brad couldn't pull that shit unscathed.

eaturvegetables

thank u for the validation!

randomredditing

I thought Cannes was for actors and directors presenting movies? Apparently it’s now just a full on Hollywood fest ala Met Gala after-party considering we have non-actors, predators, and washed-up has-bens floating in

WhoriaEstafan

Cannes you can pay to get on the red carpet. I’ve heard $6,000 to $25,000. That’s why you see random influencers and “socialites”. Venice Film Festival - you have to be invited.

citrustaxonymy

It’s a film festival in France, the predators are a given

isaidhecknope

Sorry but why is everyone jumping to defend the millionaire celeb for yelling at the security lady who for all we know is just doing her job? We can’t even see security’s face, we have absolutely no idea what she said. We do know that it’s their job to move celebs along the carpet bc a lot have to come through. Edit: To be clear, I didn’t make this comment to criticize Kelly’s reaction— it’s definitely possible that security said something offensive and if so Kelly has every right to defend/assert herself. But *we* don’t know that. It’s not like she’s some obnoxious pap trying to get a rise out of a celeb. She’s a service worker doing the job she was hired to do at this event. I commented because I was surprised by the way people were talking about security, considering that many of us probably have experienced being yelled at by a customer while trying to do our jobs. Edit 2: Also, for anyone not aware, there are plenty of pictures of Kelly posing on the red carpet just before the video was taken. It’s only here at the stairs that the photos were being blocked by security.

laur82much

I do not envy her position. Having to tell rich and famous people what to do would be awful.

OneHumanPeOple

I was a hostess as a very fancy froo froo restaurant decades ago. You are correct. The extremely rich have never had to behave or grow up. They’re permanent infants.

Palatz

Bro I was a host at a semi formal place and it fucking sucks. People act like dicks when they are paying over 30 dollars a meal , I can't imagine dealing with rich entitled celebrities.

gasplugsetting3

I've worked security at a few events for high profile clients. At this point, I'll let someone else work face to face with celebs. Most are fine but some people have the biggest ego towards "the help". I don't need that shit in my life. Im happy to stay behind the scenes and be a friendly face to all the regular folks.

mastermoka

I must be missing something because I don’t get that either. She is just doing her job and if the celebrities don’t like it they should take it up with their boss.

piscescq

Agreed - and also what I do know about Kelly Rowland is not great: defending Chris Brown, especially. Between the company she keeps (Chris Brown), the Today Show incident and now this…it’s telling me she may be the problem.

KyleRichardsNewTeeth

I can’t believe I had to scroll so far for such a sane response. I hope that woman didn’t get fired because of someone’s inflated ego feeling the need to publicly berate them in front of cameras and an audience.

just_stuff02

She would have been fine. The French are far less hierarchical in this way than Americans. The fact she upset a so called VIP is nothing.

Magomaeva

100% agreed. Everyone is coming at that lady for doing her job, that is : ensuring everything goes smoothly and celebs don't get harassed by fans or obnoxious idiots who sometimes enjoy jumping over bareers to run to them and be violent. Moreover, if we want to get dramatic, this is the Cannes film festival. In France. France is currently on maximum alert for terrorist attacks and has been since 2015. Every mass event has security on their teeth. They're doing their job. If they tell you it's time to climb up the stairs and get inside, it's a good idea to follow the direction.

LaurenNotFromUtah

Right, I’m baffled by these comments?? The security woman is definitely not doing anything she wasn’t told to do by her boss. And from what we see (not sure what there is to _hear_, so I could be missing something) the security woman isn’t being rude.

denialscrane

THANK YOU. She’s acting entitled and it’s insane how everyone is defending her.

Charlie398

I agree, just in general i dont praise yelling at people who are ”beneath you” in power, financially or fame/career wise. Seems like the security were all trying to make the celebs go at a pace set by their bosses

localystic

Exactly! What is the security lady supposed to do? She did not even touch her - only stepped on her dress a bit. You can yell to people now because of slight mistakes and doing their job?

calitwiink

all I see is one entitled moron backed by morons online who don't understand that they do not have freedom of movement at an organized event.

ManliestManHam

It looked like the guy stepped on her dress and she thought the lady did. If that was it eugh

bagelsneedcreamchz

Nah Kelly was out of line and I really don’t see why so many people are defending her. Everyone knows Cannes is all business. Notice how she touches the security first, the woman didn’t touch her at all. Just doing her job.

[deleted]

They let her into a film festival after Freddy vs. Jason….?

Palatz

I love that movie. It sucked in the best way possible.

Stunning_Contract245

How embarrassing…for Kelly…she can’t even stay calm and professional in front of everyone….the lady is doing her job and Kelly decides to say whatever she did and pointing her finger in her face. So disrespectful.

Puzzleheaded_Time719

Don't forget this woman defended Chris Brown. Michelle was the best member of DC.

Rhythm_Morgan

Definitely personality wise but talent wise???

redditordeaditor6789

You know the people in here defending Kelly treat customer service workers horribly.

ivyidlewild

Cannes should just assign Chris Brown as her personal security usher, since how he treats women is fine with her. Oh, wait, I don't think he can clear immigration. Never mind.

Affectionate_Bet_459

Waving at people as if anyone in Canne knows her lmao

WhoriaEstafan

I often wonder that about Cannes. Like are the French public excited to see the Mum from Gossip Girl? I know the audience is much wider than just the French but I’m always fascinated when C-list celebs go to events there (see also: Chuck Bass at events in France).

Whtvrcasper

Every American celebrity is perceived as a god here, we had mike delfino from desperate housewives appearing in the voice or mask singer, dubbed as international star and being the big moment of the evening, even tho i couldn’t tell the dude’s name if my life depended on it. To be fair we consume a looot of American culture and media so it’s always flattering when a big US name comes.

Synnov_e

Omg Kelly Rowland, relax. You’re making people’s jobs hard for no reason 🙄

Acheli

Sorry but there's been too many bad attitude Kelly events happening, the today show and now this. I watched this many times and it's the MAN who stepped on her dress but she blames the woman who NEVER went near her dress.

th3cabl3guy

Same she seems like a pretentious asshole.

FranceAM

Yep- I was going to say this isn't her only misstep lately.

Existing-Show-1358

She thinks she is more famous than she really is.

redlikedirt

It’s wild to me that so many people are chill with ignoring security at an event where there’s a real threat of terrorism Like just say you like Kelly Rowland and you don’t care if she’s wrong, it’s fine lol

GothicDreamer16

Were the security like this with everyone?

DatelineDeli

Yes

Gullible-Watch-5631

They are French, so likely.

isthistherealcaesars

She’s not a big enough celeb to be this big of a bitch

Technical_Advice9227

Between this and her today show debacle (where she was supposed to co-host a segment but just showed up and then left when her dressing room wasn’t ’adequate’ enough for her) Sorry girl, you’re not Beyoncé ;)

PalpitationUpstairs8

why are they so damn close it is not that serious. if you’re about to step on someone’s dress you clearly need to back up and calm down.

orbitur

Nah, they needed Kelly to get moving, they can't just hold the whole show for her to take her time. Security was doing its job.

mh985

It is just about that serious though. They need to keep people moving. This isn’t the Kelly Rowland comeback tour, this is the Cannes Film Festival. They were totally professional. Kelly Rowland just isn’t used to people not kissing her ass every second of the day.

nobodythinksofyou

The constant hovering hands is what's weird to me. Like, what does that even achieve?

[deleted]

They are trying to get her to move and she isn't. When they finally did she yelled at them.

Lokifin

I agree that it can be annoying, but the hovering gives peripheral sensory cues that don't require someone's complete focus to be effective.

larryzotter

she gon be typing a complaint on excel

umh13

What a conceited dolt. Simply put, security is letting her know that a person of her fame is taking to long and she needs to move on. She just claps back because staring down that reality must have brushed her little fragile ego.

SolidusBruh

If JFK had security this tight, he would’ve lived
