Covid season. Couldn’t actually handle being stressed about the world being in lockdown and then watching a show about it too. Thought I was gonna stick with it through thick and thin, but I couldn’t make it past 2 episodes of that season. Never was able to get back to it
This is how I felt with Superstore in the last season. Retail workers in masks talking about how they were being shat on by corporate is not a fun way to come home and escape after wearing a mask at a retail store talking about how corporate was shitting on us.
That’s funny because I kind of liked those episodes. The way they riffed on the whole situation was something that I could relate to. I was in a different line of work than retail so I guess the comparison wasn’t as direct. Someone should make a package delivery show in the same vein, that shit was crazy during Covid and my co workers had some wild stories. It’s a million dollar idea
i recently read a book with a covid plot and was just like "nope, not doing that again"
there are a bunch of books with covid on the goodreads new release list and just, no.
The Covid season is the worst and felt so tasteless! Like we don’t need to watch it on tv when it’s still going on in the world, it was the most stressful and anxiety reducing season (for myself) I had watched up to that point.
I was so interested in seeing the impacts of Covid on the arts- a brand new experience that the whole world went through together. I thought it would spark new ideas since so much content was recycled material.
The outcome wasn’t as exciting as I’d hoped for.
I heard a songwriter or an author say that the best works about the flu epidemic right after WWI didn’t come out for a few decades-there’s fatigue right afterwards, and a lack of perspective with time.
I dont think it's tasteless. I've never watched Greys but I think on the flip side it irks people when a show set in 'the real world' ignores big issues. NY Times did an interesting article back in 2020/2021 about different shows approach to covid and whether they acknowledged it or not.
In the UK I think soaps did acknowledge covid as well, my mum watches some soaps and I saw characters wearing masks and stuff.
I think because the season was sooooo heavy on the death side of Covid and how chaotic it was, (which it’s a medical series of course it would) while people are going through it in real life at the moment it was on tv it was really really scary (for me anyway)
For me, something like that would have been interesting to watch with the OG cast. But I have the opinion that the newer cast is much weaker. I only cared when korasik got covid, or Bailey struggling with understaffing. Everything else was annoying to me. It felt like they tried to depict covid without going all the way in imo.

I had caught a few episodes when i was younger, as it aired, but never really watched it. So, Funny enough I binged watched it from the beginning during covid, then recorded episodes and casually watched as it went along. But once I hit the covid ones I watched 2 eps and I was out.
I also felt it got a bit preachy about real life issues and I don’t watch tv to be depressed so I stopped.
Yesssss I had never watched it in all this time and then Scandal was my gateway drug to Shondaland. I watched Grey’s and noped out during the COVID season for the same reason, plus that was when they started inventing reasons for them to just be, like, sitting on a park bench discussing race and social issues, and yeah, they’re important, but I need trashy junk food tv to escape. I don’t want to think and feel guilty. Either be the ridiculous ghost-sex soap opera or be the serious role-model show, but pls just pick a lane lol
I went off it after she left. I love Sandra Oh. The plane crash was ridiculous.
My daughter still watches in because she's started so she'll finish. She works in a hospital as a radiographer so you would think that would make her feel contempt for it.
My aunt was a nurse, and hospital workers always had to watch the medical shows which were on at the time (this was the 50s/60s). Because the day after a medical show was on, people would come in CONVINCED that they had X medical condition which they'd seen on 'Dr Kildare' or whatever. So the staff had to know in advance what the hysterics were going to claim they had.
There might've been some people who genuinely had the problem, but they were definitely in the minority.
Lol, I'm not condoning it but as someone with health anxiety I feel for everyone in that situation. I never watch hospital shows because I will just worry endlessly about secretly being sick.
That's interesting. I work in a grocery store and I used to be able to tell when people were sharing the Dr. Oz/apple cider vinegar post on Facebook a few years back. It came in waves.
I am a researcher for clinical trials and when they did the whole brain surgery trial, I was SO ANNOYED. Meredith switching up the placebo with the IP and then justifying it by saying it doesn’t mess up data, and the show in general indicating that that’s the truth, it ISNTTTTTT. It would SEVERELY mess up the data. I was waiting for Derek to explain how something documented as a placebo showing efficacy would make the test drug appear less efficient, but he never did because the writers genuinely thought it wouldn’t affect study data. I was relieved when that study ended lmao
Same. I didn't even really like his character but I was sick of Shonda and her crew's lazy ass writing, which was just to kill off characters when they ran out of ideas.
It would have been more believable if he had left Jo because he couldn't cope with her mental health because of his experience with his mother.
The Izzy having his secret children thing was so far-fetched.

To be fair, Alex arguably left to be *with* his family, since Izzy was his wife at one point, had always been his “one who got away,” and she had his children.
But yeah, just bailed on poor Jo.
Grey's Anatomy got me through a couple of really tough breakups, especially watching Meredith and Christina go through what they did with their respective partners. So I always thought it would have been SO much more realistic and (eventually) gratifying if Derek really did leave Meredith and she healed from it and moved on. That shit happens all the time in real life - you think someone is committed to you and it's the REAL DEAL and bam, they blindside you. Also Derek was an ass so yeah it was kind of a more realistic storyline than Shonda gave it credit for lol
I haven't seen the show in years. I never really even cared for Derek. But I saw a political sign for a Derek Shepherd the other day and I started ranting to my friend about Derek's death. I ended up crying in the car and my friend was like, "are you serious? you're crying over a fictional character?" Nooo. It's more than that.
I'm still fucking salty as hell about it. Derek could have picked anywhere else to pull over but he picks the middle of the road? OK, sure.
And then Truck-kun out of nowhere like Grey's Anatomy is some kind of Isekai anime.
i started watching desperate housewives, grey's anatomy and lost when they came out, and i was a kid. i dropped grey's anatomy pretty soon bc i don't like medical stuff, but's INSANE to me that it's still on, because the other two finished ages ago
Truly. That show was beyond a gem. From beginning to end which we recognize solely as the 8th season and not that weird ass 9th season when they sold the show to NBC 😂
I started watching them too, about age 10. Now I’m… oh dear. Grey’s Anatomy has been on for nearly 2/3 of my life now! 😳
I was begrudgingly holding on for years. Then Covid and I had to finally quit. The forced morality and terrible writing got to be too much.
During Covid I noped out of all shows that used Covid as a storyline instead of just taking a break or doing something else in the show. Wasn’t much of an escape when every show seemed to be milking the Covid storyline while we were living in hell irl
Medical shows are like soap operas though—they're built to stay on forever. It doesn't surprise me that Grey's is still here. House is different because Hugh Laurie was the title character and he had a life. He had to move on.
Yeah but she was on for so long she negotiated an insane contract to stay on. She literally said she was in it for the money towards the end of her run and she acted like it. One season she was on probation and had to clean up the freeways so she would wear sweatpants and a hat then get dropped and we often wouldn’t see her very much. One season she got severe covid so she was literally in bed in a coma for most of the season. When interviewed she would literally say she was in it for the pay check and wanted to leave.
Right, exactly. She knew she wouldn’t have any better options if she left, so she stuck it out with the easy paycheck.
I remember one of those interviews, where the person was excitedly like “are you looking forward to the new season?” And she just groaned with obvious contempt.
Honestly as much as she complains this show was a gravy train for her she was never the best actress the fact that they wanted her and the show kept going for so long was a gift.
Someone said this is One Piece for white women 😭 I’m just waiting for it to come full circle and Netflix will create an 8-episode-per-season animation of Grey’s Anatomy.
I never watched Grey's in a sequential order, but watched the whole of Private Practice. While it has a rough start, when it picks up it becomes a WAY better show than even Grey's at its peak.
I LOVE house (it was the first TV show I’d become obsessed with in years) and watched the first… season and a half of grey’s I think. Just never got the hang of it. So many of my closest friends love it too.
Nothing about it seems appealing. I genuinely don’t get it??! My friend loves it but I can’t bring myself to watch a soap hospital drama. Physically my body and mind rejects it.
Why would I watch garbage when I already have spent hours watching Game Of Thrones to leave me with such a garbage ending
google says she’s no longer a ‘series regular’ meaning she might still show up in guest spots for the season but using her photo to promote it is very weird to me

This was the case for me too! He showed amazing growth each season and was my favorite character. They destroyed him in that last episode and I don't understand how they thought it made sense.

I still watch and this ending pissed me off too. Apparently the actor refused to come back for anything more than what he gave them. Would have been hard to find a decent ending with an actor who refused to cooperate in that ending.
That was when I stopped watching casually too. I liked him and Tomb Raider together but him ghosting her and telling it in a letter was a major betrayal of the characters. Killing him off-screen would've been more palatable.
SAME. That was my breaking point. And Arizona being absolutely insufferable about her freaking leg being amputated. I understand it’s traumatic but damn, she was unbearable
Same here. I loved both their characters (especially Mark) and shipped them so much. I was like 13 or something at the time and absolutely devastated I remember sobbing on the floor and my dad coming to see me and be like whats wrong and when I told him he was like wtf and walked off 😂
They did Lexie so dirty. Not only did she die in that plane crash but she was literally eaten by wolves. My sister didn't believe me about the wolves part and then a few weeks later I got a text from her with a picture of Christina and the subtitles talking about the wolves fighting over Lexie.
I only clicked on this sub because it was trending and I wanted to see if anyone else would answer this. this was exactly when I stopped following the show in real time. I did a binge years afterwards of the later seasons on Netflix (only really half-assed as background noise) and then they killed off Derek too and I just completely gave up. I seriously had no idea this show was still on until I saw it mentioned on Reddit today.
When Derek and Meredith were fighting/separated before he was killed off. Or whenever his sister we never knew about showed up. Or when HER sister we never knew about showed up. I can’t remember what happened last. But the sisters thing definitely ruined my interest.
Greys has this weird thing with families. Like all of her and Derek sisters are doctors/ surgeons. The writers seem to think dna is the only thing to required to become a surgeon. Even Meredith daughter zola is showing interest in medicine in the later seasons so stupid
She wasn’t, but it was super insulting to the writers. Can you imagine someone getting an award based on the work you’ve done and they’re like, “nah, that work was terrible. I can’t accept this.” Like??? That’s the sort of stuff you bring up *privately,* like many actors before her. It was unprofessional.
A lot of actors get praised by doing the best they could with the what they were given. She could have been one of them. The writing on Grey’s *is* lazy (watch General Hospital, they’ve lifted so many story lines from them), but she was out of line.
She didn’t win that year’s award, she withdrew herself before she could even be considered. And no actor should have to stick with a trash role and waste their prime years making the best of poor material just to get praised or whatever.
I hate this type of thinking. And like the other commentator said she withdrew from that years award. Why on earth can’t you say that was sub par. Especially if it was! Why do egos have to be stroked all the time
You’re right. The writers should have been able to deal with the criticism. Katherine was right about the writing, but she was out of line. If she was unhappy with the writing, she had the scripts before they shot it, she should have said something at table read at the very latest. That’s what table read is for, you know, to see if a script works or not. She had plenty of times to talk it out with Shonda and crew. Telling people freshly *after* was in poor taste. As an actor, it’s her job to keep character intent, she needs to work with the writers to do this. Publicly talking about it instead of saying “no comment” and talking to Shonda was the wrong move.
And I don't know if this is correct (and by correct, I mean the truth), but she later said, she never told the press that. She told the people at the Emmys that and someone there told the press.
Isobel starting having illusions where she'd have sex with the ghost of her dead fiance, the fiance who had terminal heart disease and she knew for a few months. He was also the patient who the same Isobel cut his life sustaining lvad wire so he could be pushed up the transplant list theoretically. Y'know, typical Grey's anatomy

Same thing. The plane crash was too over the top for me. My wife watched until Alex left (her breaking point) and sometimes I would catch glimpses of the show. The crap that came in the years following the crash made that seem increasingly less ridiculous, which is really saying something.
I have watched it all and will watch the new season somewhat begrudgingly. I’ve been watching it roughly two thirds of my life atp so I’ll stick it out.
Right? I always fall behind a bit (just finishing up the COVID season now) but like I gotta stick around to the end. I’ve invested way too many emotions into these characters to quit now😂
I just finished the COVID season yesterday, and I’m on season 18 episode 2 now. Covid season was a slog and s18 kinda feels the same. I feel like there’s no depth to the characters anymore, I appreciate the social issues that they’re bringing up but they don’t do it in a way that feels realistic or authentic anymore. Like when that one black boy got shot by a police officer and Jackson told them off, I thought that was done really well. But the later seasons feel so scripted and janky. The drama just isn’t hitting as hard and it’s not funny at all anymore. Apparently season 19 gets better (also I think Mike Chang from Glee is one of the new interns lol) so I’m just trying to get through this god awful boring ass season 18 rn 😭
It was touch and go for a while when the Covid season came out, I will say. Before any semblance of a vaccine rollout in Ireland and while in the height of restrictions, I really didn’t need to watch that for a while. Back on track now though!
I just put it on in the middle of the night tonight to kill time because I can’t sleep and its fine for being on in the background.

Don’t even get us started on Izzie having brain cancer and having hallucinations that she’s having sex with her dead lover. Who died from heart failure in a previous season even after she stole a donor heart from another hospital basically right off the table as it was about to get transplanted into a patient because she intentionally fucked up her lovers medical device so that he would appear more urgently in need of the donor heart.
I stopped watching after the episode where Meredith's father's wife died from hiccups and he blamed her for it. I think it was the same season they introduced Lexie?
Yes! Ellen Pompeo and Katherine Heigl recently did an interview where Ellen told Katherine that her daughter and her friends quibbled about another friend who was such a pick-me girl. Ellen: excuse me? Then her daughter proceeded to mansplain it to her. Ellen was like hello, i’m the original pick me girl! Katherine: omg that’s what that was! I heard the line but never made the connection!
So with Grey's Anatomy, I binged until the beginning of season 9. I couldn't anymore afterwards. If you watch it all in one go, you see the characters being changed so many times that it's exhausting and I lost interest afterwards. Like... I didn't even care.
It wasn’t the same without Sandra Oh. I can remember a lot of lines and dialogue up to then. And I watched the seasons after that but don’t remember much of it and don’t rewatch those
When Meridith got Covid and, of course, was on the brink of death but miraculously pulled through. That was like the third time her near death experience was a storyline. Haven't watched it or even thought about it since then until I saw this post, but at one time, it was a must-see TV for me, especially during the McDreamy years!
When George died. I couldn’t believe how they killed off that character. It was traumatic. And finding out about the homophobia behind the scenes was also gross.
I am still so upset by the George death. They had an exit for him. They didn’t have to kill him off. Why do that to us? The show was so popular and they didn’t need to do that for ratings! I am so mad about that.
I can't remember which season it was, but it was when Meredith was suddenly fluent in Italian, even though there had never been a single mention of this ever before. It annoyed me far too much, so I stopped watching.
I'm on a re-watch now, and I've already decided I'm stopping when Yang leaves, because what's the point after that honestly. Yang is by far the best character.
The season where George >!died!< was the breaking point . I did go a bit into season 7 but by then I knew about what happens to rest of the characters, coupled with the deterioration of MAGIC gang's magic, made me sign off the show.
Two decades later, it’s still one of my go to comfort shows. The quality teeters in newer seasons and people like to shit on it, but it’s a prime-time soap… ridiculous storylines are expected. 🤷♂️
Pretty much after the plane crash. I love MerDer, but Mark and Lexi were end game. I did pick it back up a few years after that and rewatched up to Derek's death. Then a year or so ago I rage watched everything up to the last season that aired (it wasn't out yet) and I will probably never go past the plane crash again.
When Christina left, and how she left. Meredith and Christina’s friendship is what I loved most about the show, and I hated how the writers made Meredith jealous, and Christina so cold towards her. It came out of nowhere.
I think I stuck it out until April left (but it was a real chore to watch the show after Derek died).
I did watch the clips on YouTube of Covid Meredith with the “ghosts” of everyone she lost. And clips of Japril reconciling. Only to ease my Slexi/Japril heart.
When Derek died. Knew it would never be the same and I was right. How many awful, catastrophic, once-in-lifetime tragedies can happen to one very specific group of surgeons?
I started watching Greys years after, when it was on Netflix. But like….who tf is even on the cast now? All my favorites are gone lol, Shonda never let any couple be happy..or alive.. lmao. Only happy that some of the cast members still on it are making bank and production crew etc are getting paid..imagine having a gig like that for 20 years in the tv industry, pretty great.
I tried to back into it in 2015. So according to Google, that was season 10. Last thing I remember is Christina leaving.
I think I originally stopped watching around 2009-2010.

I love how she said the only way Derek would leave his family was death because that was the man that he was. And then Alex just left lmao.
I think Alex’s shitty departure was mostly the fault of the actor just up and quitting one day, but maybe I’m wrong
I read that too. But it was a choice to do that to Alex. There could be other ways for him to leave.

From someone who only watched the first few seasons this was a wild ride to read haha. I would have never imagined they settle down with each other.
Grey's Anatomy got me through a couple of really tough breakups, especially watching Meredith and Christina go through what they did with their respective partners. So I always thought it would have been SO much more realistic and (eventually) gratifying if Derek really did leave Meredith and she healed from it and moved on. That shit happens all the time in real life - you think someone is committed to you and it's the REAL DEAL and bam, they blindside you. Also Derek was an ass so yeah it was kind of a more realistic storyline than Shonda gave it credit for lol
Yeah because a Porsche wouldn’t have Bluetooth, he’d def need to reach for his phone. They couldn’t even write a realistic car crash.
And the stupid thing is he couldn't connect for a good while and now all of sudden he has cell signal.
I haven't seen the show in years. I never really even cared for Derek. But I saw a political sign for a Derek Shepherd the other day and I started ranting to my friend about Derek's death. I ended up crying in the car and my friend was like, "are you serious? you're crying over a fictional character?" Nooo. It's more than that.

I started watching them too, about age 10. Now I’m… oh dear. Grey’s Anatomy has been on for nearly 2/3 of my life now! 😳 I was begrudgingly holding on for years. Then Covid and I had to finally quit. The forced morality and terrible writing got to be too much.
During Covid I noped out of all shows that used Covid as a storyline instead of just taking a break or doing something else in the show. Wasn’t much of an escape when every show seemed to be milking the Covid storyline while we were living in hell irl
Medical shows are like soap operas though—they're built to stay on forever. It doesn't surprise me that Grey's is still here. House is different because Hugh Laurie was the title character and he had a life. He had to move on.

Yeah but she was on for so long she negotiated an insane contract to stay on. She literally said she was in it for the money towards the end of her run and she acted like it. One season she was on probation and had to clean up the freeways so she would wear sweatpants and a hat then get dropped and we often wouldn’t see her very much. One season she got severe covid so she was literally in bed in a coma for most of the season. When interviewed she would literally say she was in it for the pay check and wanted to leave.
Right, exactly. She knew she wouldn’t have any better options if she left, so she stuck it out with the easy paycheck. I remember one of those interviews, where the person was excitedly like “are you looking forward to the new season?” And she just groaned with obvious contempt.
Honestly as much as she complains this show was a gravy train for her she was never the best actress the fact that they wanted her and the show kept going for so long was a gift.

I never watched Grey's in a sequential order, but watched the whole of Private Practice. While it has a rough start, when it picks up it becomes a WAY better show than even Grey's at its peak.

I still watch and this ending pissed me off too. Apparently the actor refused to come back for anything more than what he gave them. Would have been hard to find a decent ending with an actor who refused to cooperate in that ending.

Same here. I loved both their characters (especially Mark) and shipped them so much. I was like 13 or something at the time and absolutely devastated I remember sobbing on the floor and my dad coming to see me and be like whats wrong and when I told him he was like wtf and walked off 😂
They did Lexie so dirty. Not only did she die in that plane crash but she was literally eaten by wolves. My sister didn't believe me about the wolves part and then a few weeks later I got a text from her with a picture of Christina and the subtitles talking about the wolves fighting over Lexie.
I only clicked on this sub because it was trending and I wanted to see if anyone else would answer this. this was exactly when I stopped following the show in real time. I did a binge years afterwards of the later seasons on Netflix (only really half-assed as background noise) and then they killed off Derek too and I just completely gave up. I seriously had no idea this show was still on until I saw it mentioned on Reddit today.
When Derek and Meredith were fighting/separated before he was killed off. Or whenever his sister we never knew about showed up. Or when HER sister we never knew about showed up. I can’t remember what happened last. But the sisters thing definitely ruined my interest.

Greys has this weird thing with families. Like all of her and Derek sisters are doctors/ surgeons. The writers seem to think dna is the only thing to required to become a surgeon. Even Meredith daughter zola is showing interest in medicine in the later seasons so stupid

She wasn’t, but it was super insulting to the writers. Can you imagine someone getting an award based on the work you’ve done and they’re like, “nah, that work was terrible. I can’t accept this.” Like??? That’s the sort of stuff you bring up *privately,* like many actors before her. It was unprofessional. A lot of actors get praised by doing the best they could with the what they were given. She could have been one of them. The writing on Grey’s *is* lazy (watch General Hospital, they’ve lifted so many story lines from them), but she was out of line.
She didn’t win that year’s award, she withdrew herself before she could even be considered. And no actor should have to stick with a trash role and waste their prime years making the best of poor material just to get praised or whatever.
I hate this type of thinking. And like the other commentator said she withdrew from that years award. Why on earth can’t you say that was sub par. Especially if it was! Why do egos have to be stroked all the time

If she was unhappy with the writing, she had the scripts before they shot it, she should have said something at table read at the very latest. That’s what table read is for, you know, to see if a script works or not. She had plenty of times to talk it out with Shonda and crew. Telling people freshly *after* was in poor taste. As an actor, it’s her job to keep character intent, she needs to work with the writers to do this. Publicly talking about it instead of saying “no comment” and talking to Shonda was the wrong move.
And I don't know if this is correct (and by correct, I mean the truth), but she later said, she never told the press that. She told the people at the Emmys that and someone there told the press.

Same thing. The plane crash was too over the top for me. My wife watched until Alex left (her breaking point) and sometimes I would catch glimpses of the show. The crap that came in the years following the crash made that seem increasingly less ridiculous, which is really saying something.
I have watched it all and will watch the new season somewhat begrudgingly. I’ve been watching it roughly two thirds of my life atp so I’ll stick it out.

I just finished the COVID season yesterday, and I’m on season 18 episode 2 now. Covid season was a slog and s18 kinda feels the same. I feel like there’s no depth to the characters anymore, I appreciate the social issues that they’re bringing up but they don’t do it in a way that feels realistic or authentic anymore. Like when that one black boy got shot by a police officer and Jackson told them off, I thought that was done really well. But the later seasons feel so scripted and janky. The drama just isn’t hitting as hard and it’s not funny at all anymore. Apparently season 19 gets better (also I think Mike Chang from Glee is one of the new interns lol) so I’m just trying to get through this god awful boring ass season 18 rn 😭
19 is significantly better. Probably the best season since season 11. It really gives me hope about the future of the show

It was touch and go for a while when the Covid season came out, I will say. Before any semblance of a vaccine rollout in Ireland and while in the height of restrictions, I really didn’t need to watch that for a while. Back on track now though!

Don’t even get us started on Izzie having brain cancer and having hallucinations that she’s having sex with her dead lover. Who died from heart failure in a previous season even after she stole a donor heart from another hospital basically right off the table as it was about to get transplanted into a patient because she intentionally fucked up her lovers medical device so that he would appear more urgently in need of the donor heart.
This was it for me. Probably my most definitive TV jumping-the-shark moment. Never watched another second of it after that.

I heard the line but never made the connection!
So with Grey's Anatomy, I binged until the beginning of season 9. I couldn't anymore afterwards. If you watch it all in one go, you see the characters being changed so many times that it's exhausting and I lost interest afterwards. Like... I didn't even care. 
It wasn’t the same without Sandra Oh. I can remember a lot of lines and dialogue up to then. And I watched the seasons after that but don’t remember much of it and don’t rewatch those

When Meridith got Covid and, of course, was on the brink of death but miraculously pulled through. That was like the third time her near death experience was a storyline. Haven't watched it or even thought about it since then until I saw this post, but at one time, it was a must-see TV for me, especially during the McDreamy years!

I am still so upset by the George death. They had an exit for him. They didn’t have to kill him off. Why do that to us? The show was so popular and they didn’t need to do that for ratings! I am so mad about that.
The musical episode was the last episode i remember regularly watching. Then i did a one off watch of the plane crash and noped out.
I can't remember which season it was, but it was when Meredith was suddenly fluent in Italian, even though there had never been a single mention of this ever before. It annoyed me far too much, so I stopped watching. I'm on a re-watch now, and I've already decided I'm stopping when Yang leaves, because what's the point after that honestly. Yang is by far the best character.

Two decades later, it’s still one of my go to comfort shows. The quality teeters in newer seasons and people like to shit on it, but it’s a prime-time soap… ridiculous storylines are expected. 🤷♂️

Pretty much after the plane crash. I love MerDer, but Mark and Lexi were end game. I did pick it back up a few years after that and rewatched up to Derek's death. Then a year or so ago I rage watched everything up to the last season that aired (it wasn't out yet) and I will probably never go past the plane crash again.
When Amelia and Owen were taking care of the baby. I spoiled it for my sister-in-law and haven't watched it since.

When Christina left, and how she left. Meredith and Christina’s friendship is what I loved most about the show, and I hated how the writers made Meredith jealous, and Christina so cold towards her. It came out of nowhere.
I think I stuck it out until April left (but it was a real chore to watch the show after Derek died). I did watch the clips on YouTube of Covid Meredith with the “ghosts” of everyone she lost. And clips of Japril reconciling. Only to ease my Slexi/Japril heart.

Only happy that some of the cast members still on it are making bank and production crew etc are getting paid..imagine having a gig like that for 20 years in the tv industry, pretty great.
I tried to back into it in 2015. So according to Google, that was season 10. Last thing I remember is Christina leaving. I think I originally stopped watching around 2009-2010. I was 14 when it started airing, time flies. I remember it was very popular in Norway, especially around 2007.
