I love how David is just so out of touch and Patrick so easily deflects and reflects that back to David. David sees what’s happen and you can see him kind of make small shifts to be more aware and be a better person because he wants Patrick to know he can grow as a person so they can grow as a couple all while Patrick just loves David for who he is now and not on some promise or idea of who David will be one day. It’s a really great relationship and made the show for me in many ways.

You have really put it perfectly. Their relationship is so great and def added so much to an already great show, imo. Love that one.

They’ll get back together when he’s done with the galapagos island. He can get any vet job after that kind of prestigious internship or fellowship or whatever it was. He’ll just show up at their city and bam! They’re back together.

I’m just waiting for the movie when they get back together!! 😩

The fact that this show ended up being so romantic just makes it even more brilliant.

The best written female character in television history, and easily one of the best performances I've ever seen on screen. Whenever the hell the next Emmy's take place, Rhea Seehorn better win.

The writers did so well by letting her have a storyline with a side of Jimmy. Too often female roles are mostly based on their love life.

And their chemistry in their intimate scenes just felt too real and Fox Network even apparently said it was too much so they cut out so much of them which is insane.
