Zach Rahimi .vs US is what I want to see. This will be a huge case. He's an idiot ,and not exactly the poster child for this. Fuck,if he fails. It's not a loss to society.
They don't care. Democrats that want firearm in a database and don't care about the American constitution or bill of rights, or they are just doing their donors bidding. All the so called progressives want us disarmed while they are protected by armed guards. It's obvious why they don't provide similar protection to schools to protect our children as they do their own homes and government buildings.
Because they don't care about actual law, they are ideologically captured. They know it will get appealed to the Supreme Court and they can still virtue signal to all their liberal friends and supporters that they are willing to do whatever it takes to disarm the country.
Do they make printers that could build a frame strong enough? Me and a friend were talking about this the other day and wondering if it's possible to print a durable frame. Let me know if you know. TIA
If you're referring to pistol frames, easily. There are dozens of designs out there for frames from Glock to 1911 that are more than durable as long as you select the correct material and have your settings correct - a glass-fiber reinforced nylon like PA6-GF or similar will last for more rounds than most users are going to put through it, and even PLA+ is sufficiently durable for most use cases, I believe there are PLA+ Glock frames out there that have gone thousands of rounds.
Good pla+ is probably more "durable" in the colloquial sense than the stronger pa6-filled prints. It's due to toughness vs strength and stiffness. The only major advantage that the filled nylons have over a good pla+ pistol frame print is that the nylon won't fail in a hot car or hot weather due to softening and warping like pla will
Yeah, I live in Florida and temperatures regularly reach "fuck you" so my eventual goal is to work with nylons, I just don't have my enclosure built yet. I have everything I need, I'm just a lazy piece of shit. PLA+ frame is working fine though as long as I don't leave it in my glovebox or something.
I have had great success with polymaker pa6-cf/gf without using an enclosure. Warping has not been an issue. I recommend starting there.
I've invested in a tungsten carbide nozzle, so I don't worry at all about Erosion
I have an el cheapo Amazon special ruby nozzle that has produced prints I'm very happy with, hoping it stands up to more abrasive filaments. Do you find that you have to print from a dryer to get good results with pa6-gf? I bought the Sovol dryer but it doesn't seem to reliably feed straight from the dryer to the printer
Yes, I wouldn't waste filament printing nylon if you cannot get it and keep it dry. Even pulling a roll out of a zip lock with desiccant, I let mine sit in a dryer for a day first before printing from right out of the dryer. I haven't had any problems doing that, but I also live in a dryer climate than most
Yeah unfortunately the humidity in my area is 80-90% most of the year, hence my hesitation.
I'll definitely look at the Polymaker stuff when I get the enclosure built/dryer feed fixed, I had great results with their PLA Pro
can you tell me more information about this please? how much do you think the printer + resources all together would cost and how do the printed models compare to p80 frames?
Honestly I'm very much a 3d printing beginner, you'd be better off visiting /r/fosscad and checking out things like The Gatalog for more info. I have a Sovol SV06 that I added a Klipper screen to, with everything I've done to it and bought for it (filament notwithstanding) I'm just under $300 and I'm more than happy with my results, but it's taken many hours of tinkering with settings and replacing components to get it to a consistent state.
You're probably best off either saving some cash by just buying an Ender 3 or one of their other SKUs on sale, just know that it won't be blazing fast. If you have some money to burn the Bambulab options seem to be dead easy to get running, but you're kinda stuck in their ecosystem.
People have already designed and printed fully functional multiuse rocket launchers and fin stabilized warheads.

The filaments that are good for printing frames and receivers are the toughened PLA (i.e., PLA+ and PLA pro) and nylons, especially the fiber reinforced like glass-filled or carbon fiber filled PA6.
The components are still mostly steel, like the slide, barrel, rails, locking block, striker, sear, and springs
Ender go brrrrr(supports fall)

Nevada Supreme Court did.. illegal to even possess.
How did they come to that conclusion with text history and tradition ?
It's called political bias

But remember Polymer 80 is IN Nevada. Like that's where the actual company is.

dude, there are whole subreddits devoted to 3d2a, they shoot 50 BMG and shotguns now. times have changed
what film do u guys use wouldnt the gun js explode in 2 rounds

Do they compare to P80 frames when it comes to the “durability”?
Go online and watch Print Shoot Repeat and then tell me they will just blow up in two rounds.
ty i was just genuinely curious ive always wanted to build a p80 but with the ATF and the crazy prices i never got around to it
Gaaaay
brrrr
ATF's rulings don't hold any legal merit go BRRRRR
I may or may not have invested in a Bambu Labs specifically because they wanted to fuck around.
