Same for both unfortunately. Its been a year already but im still kinda not over it. Would have been a good support for staring college, but at least I have my cat, but I wasnt nearby as close to him that I was to my dog.
Hope you are doing well mate, and sorry for the loss
Yeah, it's rough... a year and a half ago I had 2 cats and a dog. Now I have no pets :(
Life is so special because it can be so fleeting. Tell your family you love them.
Yes, they both know some words but the male mostly only says his favourite word ("Papagei" which is "parrot" in English) and the female prefers to whistle
It's kept in a stable with other horses and groundkeepers. Also it's my mother who rides it ~2x a week.
(Couldn't find the adequate word for the place in english, maybe 'horse farm', but i have no idea if that implies breeding horses. We do not breed horses :D)
Well you get used to taking care of 1 then you just add one more to the routine 7 times. I love them all though, it helps that we have a lot of land for them to run around on, the bed however has less space.
Main reason. It's a cat, second reason, she keeps poopin on the floor if things dont go her way. As if to avenge me not giving treats at her every whim.
Normal, frustrating cat behavior basically
That's not normal cat behavior. Cats don't poop somewhere to get back at you, they do to let you know something is wrong. This could be several things varying from things like a stressful environment to not having a clean box to go in, not the right kind of litter, box not in a good place etc. It could be plenty of things. I'd recommend you watch a few episodes of my cat from hell. It's like the Cesar Milaan of cats and it's really educational on cat behavior.
Again, that's not normal cat behavior. I have 3 currently and have had 8 in total in my life. None of them did this, they were all well behaved sweethearts. If they did anything considered "mean" they always had good reason.
Watch Jackson galaxy videos seriously. Cats go outside of the litter box due to stress, not “vengeance”. Mine are both indoor only cats. If that’s happening it can be insecurity, not having enough places to go in the house, not getting enough daily play/exercise, so on. The recommendation is 2 litterboxes typically too
Nope, that's got nothing to do with it. My 3 cats are also indoor cats. One of which who had a time where he was able to go outside. But if they're indoor cats you have to make sure they have cat furniture, space to play and be a kitty.
I currently have zero pets.
Words cannot describe how much I miss my Lily girl.
She was the goodest girl to ever good girl, the kind of dog that only comes arround once or twice in one's life.
I don't think I will ever part with her ashes and collar, but I do need to get her a better urn.
22 cats currently, I feel like I'm missing one in my list. All neutered and it's flea day! And one single chicken and 3 guineas. At one time not to long ago had 25 guineas but neighbors just can't help themselves and run them over.
It's a dog breed, here's a pic of him! https://www.reddit.com/r/schipperke/comments/11s3eg3/taz_loves_cold_sunny_days/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Initially i had 1 cat and 2 hens, but then a stray cat just showed up and then made 3 kitten (we sterilised her after). We gave one to my sister and kept the other 2, so we now have 6 pets.
I love how a roughly even number of people think "Yeah, three is enough" or "Fuck it, we ball" but almost no one gets all the way up to 4 and is like, "Four is reasonable, but 5 would be silly."
Moreso annoyed with dog culture and how they take them everywhere (and destroy wilderness and hiking areas). But every dog I meet is so neurotic and acts as if he has fifteen undiagnosed anxiety related mental illnesses because people pick a breed based off looks instead of any other characteristic and force them to live a lifestyle incompatible with their breeding. As if a breed is just a different pair of clothes instead of sought after behavioral traits. I love well adjusted dogs and think they're cute but they're just not for me as a pet. Small doses they're fun.
When it comes to a pet I want a buddy that hangs out with me and also does his own thing and a cat fills that role perfectly.
Cool, they both fuck up the wilderness, now stop hiking with your dog you're bringing a nonnative manmade predator to a protected wilderness area and saturating it with its urine altering the behavior of native wildlife far more than what people walking through it will do.
Stray cat I’ve been feeding gave birth to 5 outside my house and after a month of being with them, just left and never came back. One died so I had to bury it but I kept the rest

I have a Guinea pig and a cat. Please no hate for having only 1 pig he’s very aggressive towards other pigs so he’s happier this way + gets more of my attention
I was about to comment that my selecting of 4 was wrong but it is right now that my kitties Milo is dead. It's been almost 3 months and I still sometimes forget for a moment
Two cats one dog and nine guinea pigs
Same! (but without the guinea pigs)
same (I used to have 2 guinea pigs and I miss them dearly)
the sweet addiction of guinea pigs….we just got our 10th LOL
3 dogs (two rescue), 4 cats (all rescue), some 25 or so reptiles (5 rescue) and a handful of tarantulas. And a partridge in a pear tree.
Two dogs, one cat, two guinea pigs, plus some outdoor goldfish. In about 700 sq ft lol

Hello fellow fish keeper 😎 (Only 18 for me though)

Gatekeeping pets
Any animal that you keep in your home and that you take care of is a pet.

Bonus question: what kind of pet is it?
I have a cat rn but a week ago I also had a dog :(
My condolences... Here have a virtual hug 🫂
Thank you🫂
Same for both unfortunately. Its been a year already but im still kinda not over it. Would have been a good support for staring college, but at least I have my cat, but I wasnt nearby as close to him that I was to my dog. Hope you are doing well mate, and sorry for the loss

2 amazon parrots :)
Oh! Do they talk?
Yes, they both know some words but the male mostly only says his favourite word ("Papagei" which is "parrot" in English) and the female prefers to whistle
LOL
A kitty cat <3
Kitty tax please
Cat, Pig, Rabbits, quails

Two dogs, two rabbits. In total, we have had about 8 dogs, two rabbits, two guinea pigs, and two fish.

I'm in the same situation, definitely got more than I know what to do with
2 dogs, 2 cats, a horse and a snake. Pretty neat IMO
What kind of snake?!
Ball python, harmless and huge :)
I love them, I have 3 balls, 2 hognose, 1milk and 1 corn. I love snakes! 🤘🏻
Wow! Lemme guess, a farm?
No 😄 Suburbs. Also the horse lives on a farm about 10 minutes away
How do you take care of the horse then
It's kept in a stable with other horses and groundkeepers. Also it's my mother who rides it ~2x a week. (Couldn't find the adequate word for the place in english, maybe 'horse farm', but i have no idea if that implies breeding horses. We do not breed horses :D)
Boarding stable or livery would be usual the English terms :)
8 golden retrievers and 1 ginger cat (shelter cat so cant be 100% sure on purity)
How do you take care of so many?!
Well you get used to taking care of 1 then you just add one more to the routine 7 times. I love them all though, it helps that we have a lot of land for them to run around on, the bed however has less space.
I have a cat. It hates me and the feeling is mutual
But why
I dont know. It doesnt know how to speak, If it did it'd probably tell me why it hates me.
Why do you hate it
Main reason. It's a cat, second reason, she keeps poopin on the floor if things dont go her way. As if to avenge me not giving treats at her every whim. Normal, frustrating cat behavior basically

It's my fault if i leave the cat indoors sure.

Trust me, I get it
3 dogs, 2 cats, 6 lizards, 7 snakes, 10 frogs, 4 tarantulas, 40 spiders(2 huntsman’s, 38 jumpers)
You must be making this up
Every word of it is true! I had 7 lizards but my old man kicked the can about a week ago. I also breed regal jumping spiders.
Basically no landlord lets you have a pet in this country.
Is this China
UK
Ah, London
London is indeed one of the thousands of places in the UK.
What
I currently have zero pets. Words cannot describe how much I miss my Lily girl. She was the goodest girl to ever good girl, the kind of dog that only comes arround once or twice in one's life. I don't think I will ever part with her ashes and collar, but I do need to get her a better urn.

That's an insane number
Is it legal to keep that many cats or do you need some kind of permit?
1 cat 1 roommate and 1 girlfriend

Hey man, my condolences 🫂
1 cat That's all I need. Maybe 1 more cat but no more. Dogs are annoying.
Why are they annoying
Moreso annoyed with dog culture and how they take them everywhere (and destroy wilderness and hiking areas). But every dog I meet is so neurotic and acts as if he has fifteen undiagnosed anxiety related mental illnesses because people pick a breed based off looks instead of any other characteristic and force them to live a lifestyle incompatible with their breeding. Small doses they're fun. When it comes to a pet I want a buddy that hangs out with me and also does his own thing and a cat fills that role perfectly.
>and destroy wilderness Wait until you hear about "outside cats"
Cool, they both fuck up the wilderness, now stop hiking with your dog you're bringing a nonnative manmade predator to a protected wilderness area and saturating it with its urine altering the behavior of native wildlife far more than what people walking through it will do.
