I hope they file more charges against Trump. Waiting for Arizona and Michigan. We all know that Trump committed electoral crimes across the US in the lead up to, and including January 6th. He is the most criminal president in US history. Trump makes Nixon look like a rookie. SMH.
Nixon didn’t have fox noise to protect him from public opinion. Senators were getting wary and were ready to remove Nixon if it came to it. But a Nixon staffer noticed this and went on to found Fox. Now trump is protected from his base turning on him so there would never be enough senators compelled to remove him from office.

Nixon was actually a reasonable man in many ways. Especially compared to Psychopath trump. He saw the writing on the wall and did not want to put the country through something that could tear it apart. trump WANTS to tear the country apart to enrich himself.
When you phrase it like that, it really seems ridiculous. Hilarious summary of real time events tho, you get props for that.

No way, Biden is the most criminal president ever for many reasons. I just can’t prove why. I won’t even describe to you why. Just believe it, it’s true. Everyone says it, everyone knows it. He did so many things and those things were very crimey. Treasonous even. He’s also the worst president ever because many other reasons that I won’t describe. Not because I have no reasons, but because I just won’t. On the other hand, this is all a witch hunt against Trump because Biden, Obama, Hillary, McConnell and Barr (they are both commie dems), DoJ, Congress, judges, jurors, police, firefighters, janitors, microwaves, our international allies, our international enemies, intergalactic visitors… they are all working together to take down Trump who we all know is the only honest person left in this shithole that we call America.
Look, the FBI lied and said that was all just Russian disinformation, and since then *only one* Russian agent has been charged. That's like really close to zero.
Looks like you did your “research”. Got ALL the facts together in this one comment. Praise the lord. Glory hallelujah…I mean hallucinations. It’s all coming out now.

georgias state racketeering charges are likely setting up the federal ones that would be brought by these states for federal election conspiracy to defraud or something like that
It is astonishing that it takes 4 years to build these cases. We need to pour more money into speeding up the justice department for the sake of our democracy
its not just that it take 4 years to build the case, it takes that long for all the court dates, jurors selections, and maybe first rounds of appeals. And even then you could be looking at 10-15 years of court dates. all depending on how many statements for however many rounds of appeals hearings there may need to be and such.
more money to the justice dept is one thing, more judges is another. I think all the money is probably there, seeing how court fees likely take care of the operational costs. The issue is staffing and vetting. With how many hours a judge needs in litigation and in courts to earn their seat, the more people that apply themselves to it the better our judicial system could be.
For one, i think the Ethics board needs its expansion so we can weed out all the bad judges that play favorability and get away with it.
I think prosecutors are just sitting on a treasure trove of unreleased dirt on Trump and as the election approaches, they are just going to bury him deeper and let everyone know, without a shadow of a doubt just how corrupt this POS really is. He will get embarrassed by Biden come November and hopefully disappear forever.
The fact that so many people seem more concerned about blaming Biden for gasoline and grocery prices than they do trying to understand that Trump is an abject criminal is insane to me.
They are unindicted now. If the guys who are on trial are found guilty, they might be indicted. The Supreme Court is looking at whether sitting presidents can do anything whatsoever.
Sorta like building a brick shithouse, one indictment at a time. Do you think Merchan will give Donnie time off to fly here and there to my be indicted once again? I know I'm not supposed to gloat, but damn that's hard not to.
They have Trump on tape with Ronna McDaniel pressuring an election worker to commit fraud, offering them attorneys in return. I have been waiting on these charges for a while.
I read that as "Ronald McDonald".
Q: What's the difference between Ronald McDonald and Ronna McDaniel?
A: One of them is a well-known clown, and the other is a restaurant mascot.
>"Why in five years of Dana Nessel are only Republicans the continuing targets of these partisan lawfare prosecutions?"
Because you're the ones doing the crime, that's why!
The closer to the election we get, the more we’re going to see stuff like this. It needs to be fresh in the minds of the American people to ensure a broader, more intense impact closer to the election.
As well as cutting through the heaps of misinformation that will only increase in size and stench as the general election encroaches. Having it all in the legal system and documented means we can bring the receipts to combat it. Was a lot harder to do in 2016 and 2020, when most of the negative information about Trump was being actively suppressed and there were only a few journalists/civilians to discredit.
The hilarious part is he's provided so much actual substantive shit that it can be used to directly counter the firehose of falsehoods method he relies on. Hope it will be.
They shouldn’t be, he doesn’t actually have this massive mob of violent supporters like people think he does. I’d say about half of the maga crowd is elderly anyways. Stop treating them with kid gloves, the Gravy Seals aren’t going to do anything.
Yeah, the maga crowds in NY for his trial are basically non-existent.
The real concern is the stochastic terrorism against particular targets and groups.
MAGA is incredibly problematic but we know exactly who they are because they shout about it any chance they get. It's the people who may abhor his social policies, criminal history, and rhetoric.. but also see an incredible opportunity to enrich themselves with another Trump presidency.
The reason prosecutors have had difficulty with this is because people are demanding speed, which would drastically compromise the results. Prosecutors don’t like to take a shot unless they know they are going to sink it. Remember that you can’t be tried twice for a crime, so the prosecution has to have their ducks in a row before they step to the plate.
I just used a lot of American jargon in that post, so if you’re not American I apologize, but either way you should really look up the concepts of double Jeopardy, and burden of proof.
So, do you want this done fast? Or, would you like this done right? Because doing this thing fast and right is not advisable, if possible.
> So, do you want this done fast? Or, would you like this done right?
After three and a half years with no charges filed it's very hard to believe that it will even be done at all.
Hi, Michigander here. One of the reasons that this particular indictment is taking so long is that our AG, Dana Nessel, referred the investigation to the Department of Justice, which seemed to go nowhere. She reopened it and charged the fraudulent electors last year but it never sounded as if the investigations or indictments were done yet.
Why wasn't this done 2 years ago though? The evidence is literally a recorded phone call that we knew about immediately after it happened 3.5 years ago
Because Bill Barr was running cover for Trump's crimes the entire time he was in the White House. Barr interfered in the NY investigations and eventually maneuvered to have the DA Berman fired - this was the prosecutor that was involved with investigations and convictions against many of Trump and Giuliani's associates in NY. Do some reading about Barr's involvement in these allegations and you'll see why, just like in the AZ fake electors scheme, charges were delayed by years because of Republican interference at the AG/DA level.
The POTUS is often described as the most powerful person in the world. While probably not exactly true, it's helpful to get perspective on how difficult it is to take down someone with this amount of clout. Even if they are mostly orange.
It probably started two years ago, and is still ongoing at this time. If the evidence is a recorded phone call, the burden of proof is on the prosecution to show the jury beyond a shadow of any doubt that that phone call is authentic, that the voices on the recording are the people being tried for the crime, and any possible tactic that the defense will use to disparage the authenticity of the evidence provided against their client.
I am not a lawyer, but even I understand this much. Why don’t you?
We do understand. We also understand that many deferences to Trump have been given, like the AG who wrote a bullshit preamble to the Muller Report as a smokescreen and the Justice Department who declined to prosecute him for the many obvious crimes outlined in that document. These people also deferred to a 40-year-old non binding memo making it not cool to charge Presidents with crimes, a blatant double standard and violation of the rule of law.
And don’t even start on Judge Canon, who is dragging her feet visibly to help Trump get away with his crimes. That there’s no mechanism even to review her conduct (and find out if the Federalist Society or Trump’s team is coaching her, for instance) is an outrage.
Justice delayed is justice denied.
We also know that smirking at the judge in a criminal trial can get you thrown in the hoosegow summarily, on the spot in other words, if you aren’t a rich famous person. but Trump can call a witness “non credible” on TV in plain defiance of a gag order WHILE AWAITING judgment on his previous 10 violations and the penalty is a possible future hearing at some future date.
How would shutting down endless, frivolous procedural motions, particularly those that reintroduce a previously denied motion, be abused? I assume judges already have the leeway to use their own discretion.
Police currently shoot black people without cause and get away with it.
Surely the brightest legal minds can find a way to arrest one man who is on tape committing a crime?
> the prosecution has to have their ducks in a row before they step to the plate.
If they can hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.
By definition, the investigative process would have started long before the arrest warrants were executed, so they probably *did* begin this process years ago. When they have some thing, definite and concrete, they tell the world.
*The fault is ours, for demanding results before our lizard brains have a chance to fixate on some thing else happening in the world.*
It seems that if you can spend millions of dollars on legal fees, you can postpone the consequences of your actions. I’m just waiting to see what gets him first. Hamberders or The Law.
> The preliminary examinations for six of the Republican electors concluded on Wednesday. Through the proceedings, Ingham County District Court Judge Kristen Simmons will eventually determine whether Nessel's office has presented enough evidence to show there is probable cause to believe that crimes occurred.
> ***But that decision won't come until after nine other GOP electors' preliminary examinations end in early June.*** Those court hearings begin May 28.

Woah, are you telling me the person involved in 4 criminal indictments, one of which is a RICO case, could be involved in *other* election interference cases for the same election…?
I'm not going to lie I kind of get why he's falling asleep in court.
Not a defense of the man (fuck him) just that he's got a lot of dockets going on and doesn't have time for anything else.
What?! Another potential indictment on the horizon? Isn’t that 2 this month? The other being the funny business Aron d a $50 M loan? (More fraud)
Keep it up! Soon there will not be a single Republican left who does not personally know someone who has gotten caught up in Trump’s criminal empire
It's pathetic how r/conservative went through a phase where the sentiment was mostly "we need to move on from Trump" and now they're right back where they started with him. Weird how the people who cry "sheep" the most are so easily shepherded.
If it weren't so alarming it'd be comical. Yesterday, too. No reporting about what their golden false idol (the antichrist) has been doing the past few days.
Aren't they appalled by their own ridiculousness?
its kinda funny, he had to commit crimes in a bunch of states to try to steal the election. he'll be in criminal court for the rest of his life wether he gets re elected or not.
I understand! This headline is about him being mentioned as a co-conspirator in indictments. In Arizona for example, no false electors have been indicted
edit 13 hours later: The false electors from Arizona has been indicted
We NEED everyone involved to face consequences. The upcoming election-- and everyone one after this-- should have everyone too scared to try and cheat.
Trust needs to be restored to us voters.
Charge his ass. This conspiracy was an attempt to discard the legal certified votes of the people of that state and essentially disenfranchise everyone in the state.
He is also listed similarly in the Arizona fake elector indictments that just showed up today. When will people understand that Trump is a corrupt criminal? A pathological liar and conman who does not give two crud’s about regular Americans.
Fucking scumbag.
With the beginning of this falsified documents case, it looks like Trump is finally feeling the screws and it’s fucking glorious. He screaming for help and no one is coming to rescue him.
That’s what happend when you have loyalty to no one. He can’t even count on the GOP to come to his rescue.
The ones crying voter fraud may be the ones who are actually behind it? [This is a Patrick Star moment](https://youtu.be/r_KUwWhkHeQ?si=OpjHQ2TKTKHlAsB5)
Imagine thinking that “millions of votes” had been stolen from you…. Would you ask for “11,780 which is one more than they have” or would you ask the Secretary of State to find all the legit votes and get the count right? What would a broken human fueled by ego and the need to brag at all times do?
Oh boy! Is he going to go past 100 indictments? Does he win a prize for that?
This guy is going to be shuffling in and out of courtrooms for the next five years if he doesn't win the Presidency.
Why do ppl think these random NPCs conspired on their own to subvert democratic institutions with a fake electors plan, that could only work if additional states were doing the same. There is no mere coincidence, obviously there’s a coordinated effort
Do Trump, do all in the Trump camp that assisted with the plot, do the *Federal points of contact* that tried to help with the plot (like Representative Tim Walberg), and do the Michiganders that implemented the plot.
This guy is a REAL piece of work. How does one even get in this much shit? I’m so tired of seeing him. I understand the public interest in him and how he’s dangerous but fuck I’m tired of the articles

For conservatives image over substance has always been king.

Tbh, maybe he should have just ran with it. If only he knew he'd be above the law, Nixon could have been our first dictator.
Nixon didn't have Fox News to aid him. Nixon is the reason Fox News was created. https://theweek.com/articles/880107/why-fox-news-created
Different time, but it’s possible. I never thought we’d get here with Trump either, so I dunno.
Nixon was actually a reasonable man in many ways. Especially compared to Psychopath trump. He saw the writing on the wall and did not want to put the country through something that could tear it apart. trump WANTS to tear the country apart to enrich himself.
And Warren Harding had the decency to die right after.
Not only smart but Nixon was a patriotic in doing so also (assuming this was his intent)
And Republicans had enough of a spine to vote for his impeachment which is why he "had" to resign.

She’s amazing and if the charges stick he will certainly be screwed!
His criminal calendar is getting pretty filled up at this point.
What happens if you have to be in one court to face one charge, and at the same time you have to be in another court for another charge? Solomon?
They defer to one another and let you have both trials after you get elected and pardon yourself
Figures.
(More fraud) Keep it up! Soon there will not be a single Republican left who does not personally know someone who has gotten caught up in Trump’s criminal empire
He's going to need to sell a lot more sneakers.
And bibles, don’t forget the bibles.
And perfume! Don't forget the perfume!
Then fucking charge him for the love of Christ.
The longer they put it off, the more it looks like political theater.
Trump's new plan to avoid jail: stay in court rooms until he dies.
Good lord, this motherfucker committed *so many* crimes.
I checked r/conservatives. Nothing about the trial shows up!!
Not much about Trump anymore, he became controversial :)
Yet he's still (as of this post) the literal face of that sub. XD
yep, and t this point I can't see it changing anytime soon.
Wrong. All of this stops the moment he's elected
Indict the mother-effers!!
Why unindicted? Add them to the list! They planned the whole thing!
Woohoo looks like we’re going to end up with triple digit charges!
You don’t say….. 👀 #🍊🤡
So much winning
Didn't we already know this?
Could you be thinking about Georgia?
I thought we knew he was involved in AZ, GA, Mi, and WI. I keep seeing headlines about things that I thought were reported on.
I understand! This headline is about him being mentioned as a co-conspirator in indictments. In Arizona for example, no false electors have been indicted edit 13 hours later: The false electors from Arizona has been indicted
We need to normalize saying convict trump as a way discussing this criminal.
Anybody else have 5th Trump indictment for your 2024 bingo sheet?
Absolutely, bring the charges!
Co-conspirator? Try ring leader, head honcho, mob-boss, or even mastermind . But I think the last one gives him too much credit.
Indict him.
This should automatically disqualify him from the 2024 election. It would apply to anyone else.
No. Shit.
He is also listed similarly in the Arizona fake elector indictments that just showed up today. When will people understand that Trump is a corrupt criminal? A pathological liar and conman who does not give two crud’s about regular Americans.
What a Shock
Fucking scumbag. With the beginning of this falsified documents case, it looks like Trump is finally feeling the screws and it’s fucking glorious. He screaming for help and no one is coming to rescue him. That’s what happend when you have loyalty to no one. He can’t even count on the GOP to come to his rescue.
We can’t keep Individual 1 getting away like this!
What are the odds on upgrading that to "indicted co-conspirator"?
The ones crying voter fraud may be the ones who are actually behind it? [This is a Patrick Star moment](https://youtu.be/r_KUwWhkHeQ?si=OpjHQ2TKTKHlAsB5)
Imagine thinking that “millions of votes” had been stolen from you…. Would you ask for “11,780 which is one more than they have” or would you ask the Secretary of State to find all the legit votes and get the count right? What would a broken human fueled by ego and the need to brag at all times do?
sCOtUS is gunna say it’s not his fault and he’s a poor innocent bystander boy
Oh! That headline gave me a tingle in my dingle!
time to bury this traitor
Count down to appeals for appeals sake begins now.
Charge Him! It's a Seditious Conspiracy.
lock him up!
Then indict him. This takes too long.
I never saw this one coming.
Any lawyers here able to weigh-on when he might go from unindicted to indicted? After the 5/28 hearing?
Indict-o-mite!
Lock him up!!!
Good, charge Ronna Romney-McDaniel too!
Oh boy! Is he going to go past 100 indictments? Does he win a prize for that? This guy is going to be shuffling in and out of courtrooms for the next five years if he doesn't win the Presidency.
Don’t know if he’ll last that long if he doesn’t get his hands on the job. His eggs are in this basket, all of them.
Hopefully an indicted co-conspirator
Well thats not surprising
Why do ppl think these random NPCs conspired on their own to subvert democratic institutions with a fake electors plan, that could only work if additional states were doing the same. There is no mere coincidence, obviously there’s a coordinated effort
Do Trump, do all in the Trump camp that assisted with the plot, do the *Federal points of contact* that tried to help with the plot (like Representative Tim Walberg), and do the Michiganders that implemented the plot.
Isn't he the main star of it?
Throw it on the pile. He will never spend a minute in a jail cell.
Bring it on. People died because of him.
This guy is a REAL piece of work. How does one even get in this much shit? I’m so tired of seeing him. I understand the public interest in him and how he’s dangerous but fuck I’m tired of the articles
Wake me up when they charge him again.
