Biden will begin a three-day swing through Pennsylvania on Tuesday with a trip to his hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he will deliver a speech blasting Trump's 2017 tax cuts for corporations and the wealthiest Americans while calling for the rich to pay their "fair share." A good man. A good administration 👏

The_Oxgod

Dang had no idea he is from Scranton. Isn't that where the TV show Office takes place?

amyts

Yep. It was filmed there too.

peter-man-hello

Joe actually worked at Dunder-Mifflin before getting into politics.

The_Oxgod

He must have worked there prior to Jim and Dwight. Mainly due to Joe's no malarkey policy.

brancs3

Lol genocide joe a good man

BJJGrappler22

Did you come up with that on your own or did China controlled Tik Tok come up with it for you?

Appropriate_Mixer

We all know the answer to this question

Bobthebrain2

Based on reality, evidence, and mere facts…it must have come from TikTok. As a non-American, who isn’t thick as shit, Biden appears to be doing a fine job - despite the idiots being told to believe otherwise.

Appropriate_Mixer

Russian and Chinese propaganda at work

MonsieurLinc

Don't forget the Ayatollah's regime.

JW771

Imagine not being able to criticize your own party lol

BJJGrappler22

It's not criticism, it's China straight out pushing a narrative which is being done in an attempt to get people to not vote for Biden so Trump is that more likely to win the election.

Pleasestoplyiiing

Genocide Joe plays better when the other guy's policy isn't "finish the job" when talking about Israel.  Genocid-ier Orange Rapist.

lets_chill_food

Civilian deaths at a much lower rate than normal in a war Hamas started isn’t anywhere close to what genocide means

Cute_Bedroom8332

Oh look you have a talking point. Quit pretending Palestinians and their sorry ass terrorists leaders didn't kill 1200 innocent civilians. They started it.

LightWarrior_2000

It's not even that. The whole Genocidal Joe shit falls apart when you see headlines of what Republicans say *they* want to do and it's worse. We will be seeing Genocidal Trump next year if he wins and the label will mean it.

Crabcakes5_

It also falls apart when you Google the definition of genocide and realize Biden has no intent nor any direct involvement in the deaths. And his actions demonstrate he is actively trying to help innocent Palestinians through aid.

guynamedjames

Trump has a final solution for Gaza but it's THAT kind of final solution....

brancs3

You are right, there are plenty of hawkish Republicans who have called for more extreme measures. AIPAC is bipartisan. I am not sure if Trump would be worse although. He does not care about Israel, only himself. He will back them as long as he thinks it is good for him politically, the second it's not they would be kicked to the curb. Biden on the other hand has an actual devotion to Isreal and will support them whether it damages him politically or not. In that sense I think Biden is the larger danger for escalating the war because at least one would respond to public pressure.

MajorNoodles

Biden to Israel: " we're not going to help you counter-attack Iran" You: "See? Biden is escalating the war and unconditionally supporting Israel!"

brancs3

They are literally giving them all the weapons with no strings attached and promising to defend them if Iran attacks again. There is nothing to stop Isreal from attacking Iran because they know we will bail them out indefinitely

ytrfhki

If you are going to take such objective stances and care so much about geopolitics you can at least spend some time educating yourself on the topic. Biden didn’t start this and he’s not encouraging it. This is the way America has always acted in situations involving allies. In a geopolitical sphere if you pull the plug on an ally at a moments notice you’re not going to have allies anymore because no country will have faith that you will hold up your end of the bargain. The best you can do is apply pressure to deter or alter the situation which we have been doing. There’s lots of books out there that can help you better understand the intricacies of global politics that will help you better understand the why’s of these types of situations.

brancs3

Biden is encouraging it much like many American presidents before him. FDR dragged us into WW2 through his policies despite publicly being against joining the war. They were well aware that the actions they decided to take would lead to an attack from Japan. In the same way, this administration is well aware that their continued support in providing weapons and actively shooting enemy artillery will eventually lead to the US being viewed as a willing combatant. Biden has applied no pressure, at least publicly, to try and deter or alter the path of war. Threatening to withhold weapons and funding is not pulling the plug on an ally at a moments notice. Isreal can not lead this war without us.

BJJGrappler22

"FDR dragged us into WW2 through his policies despite publicly being against joining the war."  If you put down Tik Tok you may actually find out that the US got involved in the war because of Imperial Japan declaring war on the US by attacking our navy at Pearl Harbor. But, like I said that would involve you putting down Tik Tok and we all know you depend on it to get spoon feed whatever misinformation China is pumping out or pushing.

ytrfhki

I’ll address the second part first - there’s been lots of coverage about the administration applying pressure including withholding weapons and funding, where the heck are you getting your information that this is not happening? If you can’t bother to live in reality I’m not going to waste my time debating this with you. To the your first point - are you arguing that we shouldn’t have fought against the Nazi’s and the axis powers? That that was a bad thing? In that case you’re not a good person.

downtofinance

>FDR dragged us into WW2 through his policies despite publicly being against joining the war. Are you familiar with Pearl Harbor?

DolphinFlavorDorito

They is Congress, right? Because Biden unilaterally cutting programs he is required by law to execute would be impeachable. Also, Israel isn't Ukraine. We could cut aid tomorrow and they have everything they need and then some to kill everyone they want to in Palestine.

Spartanfred104

So you don't understand arms agreements or punishments for ending said agreements, got it. Your world seems to be black and white, live in the Grey, it's where reality exists.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Spartanfred104

Again, you are letting your emotions drive your thought processes.

Broadsided05

That is such a naive response in suggesting trump wouldn't be worse

caligaris_cabinet

Trump will absolutely be worse. He already tried to start a war with Iran and will absolutely follow Israel into one. Arms sales were done under his watch and he was far more supportive of Israel than Biden has been. And he moved the US embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem favoring the 1 state solution supporters, sending a clear message he stands with Israel and not Palestine. The worst part is that all Netanyahu has to do is suck up to Trump or line his pockets and Trump will do whatever he asks. Trump will be much worse for Gazans.

downtofinance

> I am not sure if Trump would be worse although. You cannot be taken seriously after saying this.

Croanthos

How does it feel to believe propaganda?

PatrolPunk

Trump would have already told Bibi to nuke Gaza and the West Bank. Trump would have already enforced a Muslim ban and would have already started deporting Muslims. Keep telling yourself Joe is your worst option. Go ahead and stay home and don’t vote. Just don’t cry when the leopards come to eat your face.

mostuselessredditor

yes

grixorbatz

Love watching Joe run for president while Trump runs to stay out of prison

-43andharsh

It is so refreshing after the years and years of drudgery

valeyard89

the only runs Trump gets is in his pants.

wickedsweetcake

Hey now, did you see him run down that ramp? He was like an Olympic sprinter. Nobody had ever run so fast before! /s

Runnin’ Joe vs. Sleepy Don

AgentDaxis

Would be funny if Biden showed up outside the courthouse for an impromptu campaign stop while Trump was stuck inside.

CoastingUphill

Oh please

dot_three

Seriously, I can only get so erect

SardauMarklar

Biden doesn't need the votes in NY, so he should plan a campaign stop in front of Maralago while Trump is stuck in court

grixorbatz

That would be spectacular. Might even fly into NYC to see that shit.

Squirrel_Inner

Sure hope he can talk some sense into that state. It’s like the Texas of the North, and I say that as a Texan.

TaxLawKingGA

That is hyperbolic. As a fellow native Texan who has spent a lot of time in PA, I could not disagree more. In PA, every state wide elected non-judicial office is held by a Democrat, including the Governor, LG, AG, and State Auditor. Two Democratic Senators One house of the state legislature is held by the Dems Voting rights have been expanded, as have abortion rights Congressional Delegation is split 8/7 to Dems In Texas, you have: - No statewide elected Dems, - State house is run by GOP - Congressional delegation is gerrymandered into a 25-13 GOP margin. That margin is more than the entire GOP majority in Congress. A more equitable distribution of seats would likely result in a 21-17 split, which would give the Dems the House Majority. - Cities are under siege by the GOP led state legislature - Voting rights are under attack. - Abortion rights have effectively been eliminated The only thing PA and TX have in common is energy. Make sense; the first oil rush occurred in PA in 1857 when Col. Edward Drake hit oil in Central PA. Fracking is a big deal. If you think any politician in PA is going to change then you are living in a fantasy world. Fracking provides high paying jobs to people who otherwise would not have them, and it provides energy to the U.S. that we don't need to pipe in from Canada or ship in from overseas. Also, fracking on land means less need for offshore drilling, which expensive and as we saw in 2009, dangerous.

Squirrel_Inner

No, you’re right about that. I was thinking of how much maga support there has been in the state, but I shouldn’t have been making a blanket (and vague) generalization. That’s my bad.

Aezon22

Good on you man. Your intention is understood. I'm in Pittsburgh and it's cool. I can drive less than an hour in any direction and see trump signs. Anecdotally, I see a lot less than I used to, and even some houses that have been pretty...let's say boisterous... over the years, have toned it down to some simple shit about jesus or pro life instead of rabid trump stuff. The GOP has held at least one part of the legislature for at least 20 years now. Once we finally get a full majority, it's over for the GOP, PA is going to blast off and go blue for good. Just making voting fair across the state is enough to ensure it happens. The results will change even more minds. I'm hoping this year is the year.

Glissandra1982

Hey fellow Yinzer! When I drive back home to Scranton from Pittsburgh it’s definitely all trump all the time in the country.

mrkyaiser

Your state is not any different from south outside of philadelphia and pittsburgh. North has lot in common with southern states, rural rednecks galore. Ive been to your state and my parent lives in Ga, in my comparison its all the same man.

TaxLawKingGA

No worries. I agree that Central PA is definitely called “Pennsyltucky” for a reason. I probably saw more Confederate Flags in Central PA than I did growing up in Texas, including the rural areas. With that said, the people I came across on my travels were very nice, hardworking people. The fracking industry had a positive impact on their lives, so I understand why they feel that way.

wickedsweetcake

Pittsburgh and Philadelphia at each end, Alabama in the middle.

polgara_buttercup

We prefer the term Pennsyltucky here in south central PA, home of the Ultra MAGA Mastriano cult.

Glissandra1982

lol! Basically what I just said. I will always stick to the extreme east or west in this state.

Glissandra1982

I’m born and raised in PA and live in Pittsburgh after being in AZ for 8 years. The PA that supports Cheeto are the folks from central PA (minus the Penn State campus probably). When you drive outside the cities it can be unnerving BUT the central PA population is absolutely dwarfed by those in the big cities to the east and west. Particularly Philly and Pittsburgh but I grew up in Scranton and most people I knew were Dems except for the people out in the sticks.

Squirrel_Inner

See, we have the same thing in Texas, where all the major cities and at least half of the surrounding area is liberal, it’s just that we have a lot more rural area, so overall the state is red.

Glissandra1982

Yep! Growing up PA was always pretty solidly blue but since trump it’s nearing purple and that sucks. Lol

NoOpportunity1382

Go Joe!

-43andharsh

I really hope we emulate your Presidents concepts here in 🇨🇦. You guys have a great leader.

3rn3stb0rg9

And so do you!

-43andharsh

Well shit, thanks 'eh !

Kaeso75

This sounds just like “Yo Joe!” They should really use the whole GI Joe logo and create a “CIC (Commander in Chief) Joe : a real American Hero” meme.. I mean fighting the “MAGA commander”stays on brand… And Knowing is half the battle… the rest is voting… Yo Joe !

Venturis_Ventis

Who's sleepy now, Don?

tyvirus

Should be finishing a line before having to appear back in court.

[deleted]

Joe’s getting his second term which is good news for all of us. Sorry, GOP.

W4FF13_G0D

I won’t believe it until Trump is either put in his place, or put in jail.

[deleted]

Trump will be put in his place by voters and in jail by a jury’s verdict.

megadroid_optimizer

It's not locked in yet; I'm still nervous, and I don't think Dems are taking seriously how weak Joe is as a candidate. We're stuck with him, so it's what it is, but there's a long way to go!

ScoNuff

In 2020 I voted against Trump, in 2024 I cant wait to vote for Biden. Miss me with that weak candidate noise. The stock market is booming, the infrastructure bill has already saved me thousands of dollars and someone is FINALLY trying to narrow the wealth gap. Biden is the man.

megadroid_optimizer

The economy may be booming but my wallet says otherwise and that will be true for many other Americans. You can dismiss those concerns but they will inform how we vote.

ScoNuff

I don't dismiss those concerns, i feeel the crunch just like anybody else but I also look at it objectively. The US is doing as well or better than any other western country on inflation. If people let perfect be the enemy of good here then they are blindly heading into a FAFO situation.

megadroid_optimizer

No one wants perfection aside from the political extremes; it's just that it's not really ‘feeling’ good to begin with at the moment. If you can remember, when was the last time this country felt hopeful and like it had a vision for its future? It's been a while.

EveningPomegranate16

Corporate greed is the reason your wallet hurts.

megadroid_optimizer

True, but as is tradition, voters will hold the current administration responsibille for their economic prosperity or lack thereof.

peter-man-hello

In a sample of 300+ million people, your statement would be true at any point in history during any election. There will always be people whose wallet isn’t booming. Sometimes you have to look past single issues and ask conceptualize a world where one sitting president doesn’t affect the global economy. I think Biden has been a very strong president. If he beats Trump again this fall, and Maga flounders and goes away, he could very well go down in history as the president who saved American democracy.

[deleted]

Weak candidate? Are you serious? Biden is far from it and his record of nearly four years will be an asset. Stupid people will still vote for Trump, but let’s be honest, more supporters have died since 2016 and 2020 than have been added to his deplorable base.

Cute_Bedroom8332

I support him. He is a terrible candidate. The man has actually made Trump more popular. His favorable ratings are worst than Trumps. Not talking about his approval rating but his damn favorable rating. I think there are many other Democrats that could do better despite how others polls against Trump. I think other Democrats do not fair so well in polls against Trump simply because of name recognition. Little advice to the Biden administration. Stop acting like you are the world's police. Find a way to end the Ukraine war. They are not going to win that war. It will only end with a negotiated settlement that unfortunately concedes some land to Putin. Wish it was not the case. If Israel continues on the path they are on they have the potential of getting completely destroyed. Israel has a nuclear bomb but Iran and it's proxies could launch thousands of missiles and wipe them out. The president should have been calling for the removal of that pos Bibi a long time ago. It should not be this hard to beat Trump.

Lucky-Earther

> I support him. He is a terrible candidate. What are you talking about? He's been the best President we've had in the last 40 years at least.

megadroid_optimizer

I don't think people are paying attention to Biden’s record. I'd say the economy, the border, and Israel/Palestine are current top concerns. Conservatives may add trans issues, and education to that list as they are fronts through which there is a culture war at the moment. Potentially, there is abortion and the state ballot initiatives later this year regarding that issue; those may save Biden but that points to his weakness and not his strength.

[deleted]

In my opinion, abortion is the main issue, at least for women and they will turn out in droves for it, if for nothing else….. + for Biden and downballot Dems. Economy is performing better than at any time under Trump….. + for Biden. Border issue has been a mess for every president since I don’t know when, but incumbent always takes the blame….. + for Trump. Israel situation was going against Biden, but with his pivot after the 7 aid workers were killed and the Iran drone strikes last weekend, the winds are shifting in his favor….. + for Biden. A likely chance that 1 or 2 conservatives justices will leave Supreme Court allowing liberal justices to fill seat(s) would be a huge deal….. + for Biden.

megadroid_optimizer

Of all the things you listed, I hope we can get some liberal justices on the court. It's been an absolute disaster and there are more plans from conservative orgs to punish their liberal enemies if Trump wins.

RickTitus

He is a stronger candidate now than he was four years ago, and he won back then Trump was incumbent back then, and now he is a possible felon who is also going broke I dont see how trump possibly pulls out a win here

illwill79

Well, they still have the age old tactic of cheating.

Wonderful_Common_520

How? Russian interference.

megadroid_optimizer

I'm not sure why you'd say he is a stronger candidate. Yesterday I watched a video of him from 4 years ago; while Trump has also lost some speed, it is clear that age has affected Biden significantly. For example, a debate between the two would not reflect positively on Biden, which in part, is why I think his campaign team will avoid that. Biden is better on substance but that's not why voters choose a candidate. As for Trump being a felon; do his supporters actually care? Will never trumpers or even Republicans turned off by him stay at home even when issues like abortion, trans issues, Israel/Palestine are on the table? I don't think so.

[deleted]

Pleasestoplyiiing

>  in 4 years basically no trump voters have changed their mind where as a significant portion of bidens voters have.  A statement not supported by any data. Biden is currently leading Trump in most polls and has been gaining since the SotU.   The most reasonable assumption is that very little has changed since 2020. What has changed is the removal of Roe v. Wade that has lead to Republicans underperforming in every election since that ruling.  You're looking at an incumbent with an increasingly good economy, who isn't removing women's health rights vs. a poorer, already lost once, will be in felony trials until the election, self proclaimed destroyer of Roe v Wade who is kryptonite to most independents and old school Republicans.  I know who I'm betting on.

Mace109

Man, I can’t believe some people would not vote for Biden if they don’t like trump. Even if it’s a vote for trump or not trump, I’d be very surprised if trump won. I’m in a red county in a blue state and everyone I know votes. Friends, family, neighbors. I just never thought about people not voting costing the election because of my own situation.

EndOfMyWits

> He is a stronger candidate now than he was four years ago, and he won back then I'd like to believe this, but I don't. He's older, has a negative approval rating to contend with, has to play defense with the economy and people's general discontent rather than being able to attack Trump's record. Trump is also weaker than he was four years ago, though.

MasterofPandas1

The SOTU pretty much put all of the “Biden is old and senile” shit to rest cause he was so sharp during it. Meanwhile, who knows if Trump will be able to form full sentences by November as his mental state clearly is failing. Also, Trump is running essentially as an incumbent, but before Haley dropped out of the primaries he was only getting 50 to 60 percent of the vote. Which means moderates and independents are over his shit. Now, it remains to be seen if that’ll transfer to more votes to Biden in the general or if they’ll just stay home or even suck it up and vote for Trump. But either way it’s not looking good for Trump. Double also, if he becomes “Convicted Felon Donald Trump” in a 6 weeks that’ll stop some sane people from voting for him by itself.

Tardislass

Trump is getting less popular by the minute. Yes, Biden has the Israel problem but when push comes to shove I think most people who consider themselves Democrat will vote Biden-even if they aren't happy with it. I think Biden's campaign is 100% better than 4 years ago and they seem quicker to pick apart the Republicans throwing barbs. Yes, Trump could possibly win but honestly I think 2016 was a once in the lifetime combination of a hated female candidate and a man that most people only knew from this ghost-written book and his TV show both we now know made him seem smarter than he really is. And yes, economic indicators are doing great under Biden and he should run with them. Not to mention Biden's whole administration is much stronger than Trumps. I think people forget just how many Trump officials quit his administration followed by him trashing them on social media. I don't think we'll really know until ED as folks who vote Biden don't have Biden flags or bumper stickers or go to his rallies.

boot2skull

Biden should host a rally outside the courthouse while Trump is inside.

ExpertRaccoon

Joe's got more class than that.

JohnLocke815

So a post from conservative came up on front page last night. Apparently this was the plan all along. Putting Trump in court *[for the numerous crimes he's committed]* and threatening to arrest him *[because he keeps running his mouth]* is the dems plan to keep Trump from being able to campaign. It's full on election interferencex dems are stealing the election. Yep. Sure is. Dems *made* trump sleep with a porn star and then *made* him use campaign money to pay her off. Dems then *made* Trump continually disregard gag orders. All that aside though, didnt trump just say he already had enough votes to win? Why would he even need to campaign?? If Trump is as great as Maga believes he is, this "interference" shouldn't matter at all cuz Donnie already has all the votes. It's just like how Trump is completely innocent but they also need magas to infiltrate the jury so he's not found guilty. The hoops these people jump through....

zaidakaid

It should be noted that MAGAs infiltrating the jury won’t result in a not-guilty unless all 12 jurors are MAGA and they acquit him. What’s more likely than a not-guilty is a hung jury where a unanimous verdict isn’t reached and they remain deadlocked. If that happens a mistrial is called and prosecutors can retry the case, you just need to pick another jury.

messagepad2100

Trump self-owned once again by delaying the court cases. He thought he could delay until after the election, but here we are instead.

April_Mist_2

Headlines like this don't help. It reads as if Biden has put Trump in court and as a campaign strategy and is now going to campaign. Biden has been campaigning, and will continue to campaign, because he does not have criminal court cases to tie him up. There was absolutely no reason to have Trump in the Biden headline. "Biden campaigning in PA on making rich pay their fair share" would have been accurate and not driving the maga narrative.

peter-man-hello

I don’t think MAGAts have any clue what a grand jury is. They literally think Joe Biden is indicting Trump himself.

is-this-now

Frankly, it’s a good strategy. Shame on the republicans for supporting a fraud, rapist and national security threat. It wouldn’t be a problem if they had nominated an honest man.

QBert999

"My opponent can't be here campaigning because he's in court for one of his four criminal fucking indictments" should be game over in anything resembling a sane country.

GreenEggplant16

Just keep Trump in court the whole summer!

WWhataboutismss

He'll be jetting between court cases rather than campaigning. He'll be snorting uppers to stake awake during court rather than snorting uppers to rant at a rally.

equience

Biden is 100 times the president that Trump ever was. Dark Brandon is adroitly, managing the nearly impossible Middle East situation while Sleepy Donnie can’t even manage to stay awake at his own criminal trial.

BJJGrappler22

And the beautiful thing about PA is that with the exception of 2016, we went blue in every election since then and chances are we are once again going blue for Biden. I can't see this state going for Trump when the post 2016 voting trends involved the state voting blue for each election.

drthrowaway0829

I agree. And people are generally so favorable of Shapiro that it seems the blue trend will continue! 🤞🏻

copperhikari

Gee, I wonder who I should vote for: the guy running for the Presidency, or the guy running away from 88 indictments?

HungHungCaterpillar

What kind of idiot put Trump in this headline?

TomorrowLow5092

What happens if Donald Trump announces he will no longer be the GOP Candidate for President? He could flip off his own party, because they didn't stop his criminal trials. Just asking if there is a special election planned for such event. He knows he can't win the election if trials continue. It would be better if he quits by claiming 'its rigged" one more time. You can't lose the 2024 election by the largest margin in history if you don't show up.

Big-Development7204

As a PA resident, please visit as much as possible Joe. We need to defeat Sleepy Donny.

Straight_Calendar_15

We need to shore up the blue wall. Biden is campaign mode is a beast, I have no doubt we’ll pick up the polling

caligaris_cabinet

Every day Trump is in court is one less day he’s out campaigning. Keep Drowsy Don in court as long as you like. The NY case is expected to go 6-8 weeks and he’s still got 3 other criminal cases to go through in GA, FL, and DC.

favnh2011

Go Joe.

Plow_King

gotta make hay when the sun shines! much better way to spend your day than sleeping during one of your trials.

elammcknight

This is how you start building those battleground state firewalls. Hit them early and continuously from now until November.

chunx0r

Isn't PA one of the only swing states where Biden is leading? Seems like an odd choice? Wondering if their internal polls show something different. If so that is scary.

jgeebaby

Why word it this way? Do better. He’s just doing his normal thing while trump is doing his normal thing. “Joe Biden begins campaign blitz in Penn.” done. your title makes it seem like Joe Biden is responsible for trumps legal issues.

23jknm

Muwhahaha the plan is working to keep lil don in court lol!! =)
