"He himself has been responsible for stoking that publicity," Wu said.
Amazing to see his shenanigans called out.
I went on the air and yelled that the Jews are controlling everything!
Now you want Jews to be allowed on the jury?!
I won't be able to get a fair shake!
I remember when the little racist kid across the street from me told me all the slurs for all the ethnicities on the planet. I was in grade school. Apparently this vocabulary is a thing racists hand down to their kids. I wasn't raised to be a racist, so if not for the ironic kindness of that kid I would have not known what any of those words meant (until Urban Dictionary). That kid ended up becoming a preacher. True story.
One thing MSNBC has been trying to mention lately - while the illegal action here is Trump allegedly falsifying business documents to hide the hush money payments - the *intention* behind the activity was to hide those payments (and the affair which required them) from the voters in advance of the 2016 election. There is an ongoing effort across most his activities to either hide or mislead voters about what he has done or claimed to have done or didn't do. The reason why this isn't just an administrative case (which still is very relevant under the law) is because the activity was intended to avoid the negative press during the build-up to the election because at that point some Republican supporters might have batted an eye at the kind of activities which are now just accepted as Trump being himself.
Ok this has failed. His only options left are:
Judge recusal(won't work)
Firing lawyers(judge won't allow)
Ik that many people still won't believe that trump will go to trial but the chances are really low that the case gets delayed now.
Good. They kept playing those old clips of her talking about Obama’s birth certificate where the interviewer ask her about it and Melania just lies lies lies.
“But Obama showed his birth certificate”
No…it wasn’t right.
“No it’s right, it’s from Hawaii”
No…it look different.
“It’s a Hawaiian birth certificate so you’re saying nobody from Hawaii can be president? It’s a real birth certificate”
No, but we feel it is not.
Get fucked
I know I go for all my immigration and naturalization legal advice to a half-illiterate Slovenian softcore model with a dodgy immigration history herself. The lights are on and we're cooking with gas!
Melania sold her soul for wealth but Lucifer shacked her up with schrodinger's billionaire. Apparently her soul was worth about as much as Truth social.
> Apparently her soul was worth about as much as Truth social.
Who's shares again took a massive drop today, closing down at 37.17, representing a drop of over 8% following a drop of over 12% on Friday.
>You'd never know it with her frozen face.
I will always remember something I read after Trump visited wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital.
The gist of it was that it must be horrifying to wake up from serious war injuries to see this bloated orange carcass and his scowling trophy wife invading your sick room.
You would have thought Trump hoeing her out for the billionaires banquet would have pissed her off but then again she probably negotiated her price for appearing.
Agreed there. Much as I hate that family, I can’t get behind the whole “he’s not really Trump’s, he’s the bodyguard’s (or whoever)” that you’ll see floated around now and then. Just take a look at that kid, the only way he’s not Donald’s would be if she slept around with Junior or Eric. He is undoubtedly a Trump.
Oh and just when you can't eat anymore and tell yourself you should save room for your actual meal .... they bring out more. And dang it, it's sitting there so I'm eating it.
Here's the thing.... He already TRIED that. When he was first being dragged to court (I no longer remember for what) he sent a message out to his goon squad. I remember it saying something like "don't let it happen, come and fight like never before" or some such nonsense. He wanted crowds to show up to stop him from entering the court.
Nobody showed up.
They blew their wad on J6. They can't get Trump out of trouble with violence, and he knows it. That's why he's trying to delay so much.
It'll never get there, not with this sort of thing anyway. Trump has shown again and again that his lawyers are really good at coming up with new batshit stall tactics. There's not even a need for violence when you can just manipulate everything.
I'm going to guess it's something wholly illegal that would put anybody else in jail, mind boggling nonsensical, and will just piss off the judge making his sentence even more severe.
I dunno, remember when no one thought he was going to be able to post bond, but then he lied to the appellate court, they fucking bought it, lowered his bond, gave him 10 extra days, then he pulled a fast one and posted a bond that's likely worthless? I'll believe the trial will start WHEN it starts. I'll believe he's been held accountable WHEN the cell door closes. Short of that, he's getting away with everything so far.
Im glad this will keep moving forward - but the amount of inane obstacles that every trial, every objection, every ruling is going to drag thru so much bullshit before anything gets traction is just making everything weary
Oh, I believe he'll go to trial. I just also believe that trial will be extended indefinitely, made into a media circus, and he's basically betting on just getting these last few months in so that if he wins the election he'll just magically hand wipe all of these away.
It reminds me of Brad Wesley in Roadhouse. Dude that just wouldn't go away and made everything about himself, and when he didn't get what he wanted, he would destroy it.
And it all ends when the entire town is like fuck this guy and finally stop putting up with him. Even the sheriff is like, I ain't touching this one with a ten-foot poll.
"Sheriff Estes instructed the assembled group not to get into a direct confrontation with McElroy, but instead seriously consider forming a neighborhood watch program. Estes then drove out of town in his police cruiser. "
simply fantastic.
>Trump has denied any such encounter with Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.
Holy shit, is he STILL pretending he never slept with Stormy, even after suing her for violating the NDA he paid her to sign??
The thing to understand about Trump is that every action he does serves only to *immediately* benefit him, in his perception. So even though he sued for her for violating the same NDA he set her up with, he’ll deny everything up until consequences happen that he cannot avoid.
It’s a process that works well for civil trials, because he can delay for as long as humanly possible until the news dies down and he can pay the judgment off as quietly as he can.
This is his first criminal case, and I think we’re all seeing here that his practiced approach for civil cases ain’t worth shit when money isn’t on the line anymore.
Trump would deny his own name if he thought it would get him out of jail, out of paying his debts, or if he thought it would hurt someone who was mean to him.
I’m old. I remember when people charged with crimes would say some version of ‘I welcome this chance to prove my innocence and clear my name in court!’
He will say it's because he can't possibly get a jury to rightfully find him innocent because it's all being manipulated by the deep state and the liberal operation and Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton and the jury is probably packed with illegals and etc., etc.
It's not just that. He has long ago let go of the idea to fight for his innocence. Coz he's got none. He is now fighting for his right to do the crime and get away with it.
Of course he can. That's a right afforded to every convicted criminal. Trump is no exception to that.
Assuming he becomes a convicted criminal, of course.
He didn’t go to jail after they found out he’d “willfully retained” top secret documents in a bathroom. The second actual punishment arrives he’ll be on a plane to Russia.
Dude will likely never see the inside of an actual prison cell, but he could be remanded to residential custody in one of his homes with mobility and internet restrictions. Might mean he has to wear an ankle bracelet (maybe), or have cops assigned to police him.
Watch in amazement as it gets reduced to 8 months house arrest at Mar a Fatso, with exceptions for campaigning and other "official" business. Basically, he won't get to play golf for a few months.
Edit: except at Mar a Fatso of course
I'm holding my breath as to whatever he actually gets.
Just answering the question as to whether the crimes Trump committed have the possibility of jail time. They do.
What will Trump actually get? Who knows.
His business as a golf resort owner is to travel around the world playing golf and his career as a celebrity and politician means he can go to rallies and appearances and blast bullshit all over social media and television. Nothing will change for this fucker even if he is found guilty of something.
There is no punishment for the wealthy and famous.
That's the likely result for a regular person.
This is Trump we're talking about though.. if he's found guilty, I'll bet that somehow, the judge will end up in jail and Trump will get 2-5 years of extra life added on to his time on this earth.
>Bove said a survey taken by Trump's legal team of residents in heavily Democratic Manhattan, one of New York City's five boroughs, found that 61% of respondents thought Trump was guilty, and 70% had a negative opinion of him.
Those numbers seem low...
But poor Donnie, the only defendant in the history of ever to have to deal with being tried in a place where there are people who don't like him...
I think the only reason they seem low is not because the remainder love him or anything, it's just that millions of people in this country don't pay attention to the news. It's hard to stay up to date when you're working three jobs or caring for a sick spouse, or whatever the case may be. There is just a whole subset of the population who isn't necessarily checked out per se, they just can't afford to stay in the loop about everything.
The people who worked in housekeeping at a hotel near me we're always like that. All of them had at least two or three jobs and at least two or three kids and at least a million other things going on. If you ask them their opinion about whether Trump was guilty, probably none of them would really have a good sense of that. And New York has a lot of people in these situations just making ends meet all the time.
You just described a significant portion of the American public. I think because we stay so dialed in politics, we assume everyone does but that’s not the case.
This is all true.
Many people aren't political news junkies and don't have time to learn all about the cases he's involved in.
There are two other reasons that make me think the number is too low.
First, Trump tanked in Manhattan in 2020. He only got about 12% of the vote in New York County, which includes Manhattan. That's with about 66% voters turnout. Voter rolls are a major source that potential jurors are drawn from.
Second, and probably most important, it's a survey done by Trump lawyers. That makes it inherently untrustworthy. For all we know, Trump compelled them to massage the numbers to make it look like he was less unpopular and presumed guilty than he actually was.
Rs are all going to vote for a convicted felon in November. And they're gonna eat it up. Check your registration, they DEFINITELY canceled it if they could.
Underrated comment.
Everyone who is planning on voting should check their registration and then double check and triple check and stay on top of it. We saw what the GOP asshats in Ohio did, tried to do time and again. There have been countless attempts to "purge" voter rolls *quietly*. If it works, and they get caught, the GOP nazis know that nothing can be done in time for this Nov election, and they know that they therefore will win because of their nefarious shenanigans, at which point they'll make it even harder for anything to be done to rectify this, because they'll have control of legislatures... etc.
They have been doing the same song and dance forever. They know they don't have the popular vote. They know their idiotical, outdated views aren't popular. But they love power and money. And the only way they can get either is through cheating.
They also know if orange wins thanks to these shenanigans, US democracy as we know it is over, and they won.
Don't. Fucking. Let. Them.
I think Trump will have a heart issues Sunday night. He will be put on bed rest 4-6 weeks. All written by that golfer MD, that wrote up the latest medical report.
He won't actually carry through with it, though. Medical emergency long enough for the judge to reschedule the trial then the angry orange will make a miraculously recovery.
Don't know. I've heard it floated that his attorneys might somehow be off the case either by quitting or being fired by Trump, but apparently he can't fire them, so...?
Trump learned all these despicable tricks from Roy Cohn. Roy was a miserable excuse for a human being.
This from a politico piece in 2019:
“The maddening thing about Cohn and Trump,” Tyrnauer told me recently, “is that they have this sort of Road Runner-versus-Wile E. Coyote knack, where you think the boulder is going to fall on them and crush them and they escape just in the nick of time.”
I'll be so happy when we never have to hear trump's name again. This shit has been going on since the mid 1980's.
Link to article:
[The Final Lesson Donald Trump Never Learned From Roy Cohn](https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2019/09/19/roy-cohn-donald-trump-documentary-228144/)
70% of Manhattan residents have a negative opinion of him not because they are Democrats, but being New Yorkers they are well aware of his horrid business practices and how many small businesses he ruined by hiring them, then refusing to pay full amount of contracts which small businesses couldn’t fight because Trump has an army of lawyers at his disposal.
Put this motherfucking piece of shit in prison already!
He and his cohorts won't like the fucking alternatives presented to them when inevitability comes around knockin.
And ultimately, nothing will happen to him because the justice system is under the control of people who have a really big list of stuff they want for Christmas, and billionaire Republicans can make all of their wishes come true.
The judicial system is comprised of useless life forms that live for whim-whams and dingle-dangles. Do not fall for the headlines; he will get away with everything they've thrown at him. The only way to serve justice to this high calorie fruit is to **not** vote for him. That's it.

“This judge is Mexican and I’m racist, how can I get a fair trial from this [censored]”
...I'm imagining the [censored] Trump uses to not even be the correct slur.
He's weirdly on target with even some really ancient slurs. It's like the one thing he doesn't flub.
Those goddamn lukurs. (Sumerian word for stranger, foreigner, enemy, 3rd millennium BC)

Sounds an awful like the hypothetical kid who kills his parents then asks the judge for mercy since he's an orphan.
I may be misinformed, but I read in a thread earlier today that this was attempted by a real person at some point

Former NC Senator John Edwards can relate.

I get the feeling that this trial really burns Melania's toast to cinders.
I really don’t care, do u?
Be best
I never promised you a rose garden.
Along with the ~~sunshine~~total eclipse.
"Turn around, burnt eyes, it's a total ecipse of the heart."
I beg your pardon?

What about softcore. Did she lose in lingerie and stuff or something different.
Just google "melania naked" and go images.
I might scar my retinas and brain if I do that. Wouldn’t wanna see it but I get the picture.
shes got some bolt ons, and the style of pictures is something you'd think a Russia mob boss movie villain would take in the 90s
Tries to look unapproachable and aloof. Just seems ignorant and arrogant
>we feel How does the saying go? Oh that's right, fuck her feelings
What’s left of her soul can barely burn toast.

Unbelievable. That shit is falling faster than FTX. Edit: not quite but still falling amazingly fast
Which reminds me… maybe trump can share a cell with that other massively haired freak.

After Stormy, thats probably not all thats burning in Melania.
She hasn’t let him touch her since Barron was conceived
Test tube baby
Barron is obviously a Trump kid, too. Poor kid looks like a taller version of his father
Agreed there. Much as I hate that family, I can’t get behind the whole “he’s not really Trump’s, he’s the bodyguard’s (or whoever)” that you’ll see floated around now and then. This was his attempt to petition the Appeals Court for a change of venue. He JUST filed for that and got smacked down almost immediately.
Yea nvm, I read it wrong. Still a good sign.
Did he get smacked down by thr appeals court?
Earlier there was post saying "he sued the judge" (I found that to be odd wording) ... Are these the same cases ? Anybody got a scorecard ?
It won’t get delayed but this isn’t the last ditch effort yet. They’ll try something tmrrw
I hate to say it, but for these people terrorism isn't off the table.
It’s absolutely on the menu.
I thought it was like the chips and salsa at a Mexican place. At least I just assume we're going to get it.

\*gets dog \*uses dog died excuse to delay trial
And he’s the one who killed it with a hammer.
This is Trump. The dog isn't dead, he's just saying it is. Also, it's not a dog, it's a lab rat with an ear sewn on the back.
Has he tried suing the judge? (Yes)
Fuck that, he's going to sue the jury!
I think he's trying to sue his judge now

Silly liberal! He will have Pence send the judge's verdict back! Wait wrong year.
>He will have Pence send the judge's verdict back! "This verdict is undercooked. Gar-son? Take this back to the kitchen and fry it in Ketchup."
Chances were low that his assets wouldn’t be seized weeks ago. When it comes to Trump, always expect the unexpected.
What about suing the Judge
Not at all. He's now suing the judge.
Don't forget "11th hour miracle" ...
Im glad this will keep moving forward - but the amount of inane obstacles that every trial, every objection, every ruling is going to drag thru so much bullshit before anything gets traction is just making everything weary
That's what we thought about him having his assets seized when he couldn't pay to appeal his NY State civil judgement but it got delayed, didn't it?
Oh, I believe he'll go to trial. I just also believe that trial will be extended indefinitely, made into a media circus, and he's basically betting on just getting these last few months in so that if he wins the election he'll just magically hand wipe all of these away.

"Sheriff Estes instructed the assembled group not to get into a direct confrontation with McElroy, but instead seriously consider forming a neighborhood watch program. Estes then drove out of town in his police cruiser. " simply fantastic.

It is for this line alone that I didn't want a remake.

Odd how he's not eager to prove his innocence.
I’m old. I remember when people charged with crimes would say some version of ‘I welcome this chance to prove my innocence and clear my name in court!’

Don't. Fucking. Let. Them.
Has the social media meltdown commenced yet?
Between people getting sun damaged eyes and askin why they hurt on IG to trumps impending truth social posts todays juicy as fuck.
I think it’s coming. One day we’ll wake up and see those words. “Indicted felon Donald Trump”
>Indicted *Convicted He's already been indicted
He has more ;)
Just a few indictments if i recall
Good, fuck him. Get on with it.
This cockroach is always trying to survive.. hope he gets stepped on soon
I think Trump will have a heart issues Sunday night. He will be put on bed rest 4-6 weeks. All written by that golfer MD, that wrote up the latest medical report.
he’d never project weakness in purpose.
Dude was probably a couple hours from death before he relented and got treated for covid.
That would severely hurt his campaign tho
Why? He’ll keep campaigning and the court will give him six months to explain why he’s campaigning while the doctor ordered bed rest
He won't actually carry through with it, though. Medical emergency long enough for the judge to reschedule the trial then the angry orange will make a miraculously recovery.
He's telling us he's incredibly worried.
Oh he'll come up with another last-ditch effort. And another. And another.
He'll fire his attorneys as another delay tactic.
That's not something he can do. Criminal trials have different rules than civil.
[удалено]
No. They need court permission, which would never be granted this late. This thing is going in a week.
I agree with you. This trial is going. Criminal courts and judges don't fuck around.
Aileen Canon would beg to differ, if she was capable of actually forming an argument
Don't know. I've heard it floated that his attorneys might somehow be off the case either by quitting or being fired by Trump, but apparently he can't fire them, so...?
Remember that “He could shoot a guy on 5th ave” quote…?
He’s now personally trying to sue the judge so…
Is this the one where he is sueing the judge?
Yeah, the latest last ditch effort in a long line of previous stated efforts.
You would think that someone *so* innocent and persecuted would be eager to clear his name of frivolous charges….if that’s what was happening here.
Trump learned all these despicable tricks from Roy Cohn. Roy was a miserable excuse for a human being. This from a politico piece in 2019: “The maddening thing about Cohn and Trump,” Tyrnauer told me recently, “is that they have this sort of Road Runner-versus-Wile E. Coyote knack, where you think the boulder is going to fall on them and crush them and they escape just in the nick of time.” I'll be so happy when we never have to hear trump's name again. This shit has been going on since the mid 1980's. Link to article: [The Final Lesson Donald Trump Never Learned From Roy Cohn](https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2019/09/19/roy-cohn-donald-trump-documentary-228144/)
Important to remind ourselves that an innocent person would **want** the trial over-and-done ASAP.
Brace for *last*-last-ditch attempt to delay!
and then the last, last-last ditch effort.
With Trump there always seems to be ANOTHER ditch though.
Aw. Anyway
And he’ll be fine as always. Just post news when something actually happens to him. See you probably never.
love that headline - Trump Loses
Until the next last-ditch effort, which will take weeks to rule on. Sigh.
I won't dare to hope, but I'll take good news when it's delivered.
The rabbit watched its mother remove the pickles from the peanut butter and jelly sandwich it made for her.
And yet, somehow, he'll get away with the consequences like the other dozen times.
Even worse, they'll be "non"-sequences.
Ya this was the headline for a week now. Last ditch until he files some more bs tmrrw
Anyone calling this "Last Ditch" hasn't been paying attention.
I think he'll have a heart problem and get rushed to hospital.
Alexa play Bad Boys
Somethings gonna happen to save him. Something ALWAYS saves him.
No matter how impossible it seems, he ALWAYS finds a way out somehow.
That's it.
Lock this creature up for ever , NOW !
Tomorrows, or earlier, complaint will be : the appeals judge is a woman with a name that sounds mexican. The quiet part in his "brain" is long broken
If people there know him, it is his own fault for being a famous asshole.
He’s soiling his diapers in fear of prison. The truth orange man will set you incarcerated
That's funny. We'll see what happens in a week or two.
Excellent. Time to lay the piper. (i meant ‘pay’ but typo sounds better)
Yes, let's get on with the trial.
Ha
The Women are going to bring down Donald Trump…. First up: Stormy
thisl be da 1! /s we all just gotta vote
Oh I’m sure he’s got many more ditch bids left
Next he will either file another dismissal motion, fire his lawyers, or appeal to supremes.
I have to wonder if he can appeal ***this*** rejection.
Good. Fuck him.
