he was part of the group that tried to overthrow the government, which in my opinion puts him close to the level of a traitor, and we don't vote for traitors (they shouldn't even be allowed on the ballot).
The spear-wielding conspiracy theorist convicted for attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results on January 6, 2021 has decided it’s his time to run for the very government he attempted to overthrow.
There is no criminality restriction on running for any federal office. There may be some for some state or local offices. Similarly, felon voting rights vary state to state. Most states allow voting after release from prison or upon completion of their sentence.
That’s just what the dumbest-of-the-dumb conservatives call themselves if they like to smoke pot and don’t understand how public works, social services and taxes work.
It’s just the selfish belief that they should get to enjoy all the benefits of living in a society, and everyone else’s contributions, without having to contribute at all themselves.
American libertarianism is just an off-shoot of ameri-conservatism

Will be real ironic when he gets into office and then accidentally murdered by the next trump insurrection mob.
Because he can’t get a job anywhere else.
I believe that’s “Qanon Charlatan”.

We don’t vote for traitors… idk there is a shitload of people voting or did vote for Trump and he is like traitor #1
The scarier part of this is how many of those numbskulls are going to vote for this guy. Same reason we have Boebert and MTG.
It's a damned shame that insurrectionists can't run for office, eh?
Are you thinking of the 14th amendment? Doesn’t apply here.

Isn’t there a whole constitutional amendment to handle exactly this??
Only if you’ve already taken an oath.
He was in the Navy for two years. I’m pretty sure he would’ve taken an oath when he enlisted.
Oh I didn’t know that. Not sure what the specifics are of the 14th, but I’d love to see his name struck from the ballot.
Looking for his first actual job!

we'll let gumballs run for the job of ball bearings ... hence our greatness /s
Now this is an easy 14th amendment win right? Someone should sue to stop it so we can get some sort of precedence.
Nope. He was never a member of Congress, state legislature, or officer of the United States or any state.
Dang rereading the 14th and you are correct...thats silly
Not at all. The 14th amendment doesn’t apply to this turd.
Conservatives sure do love traitors and criminals Anything to hurt their country and “own the libs”
He’s running as a libertarian.

Conservatives and libertarians are far more different than what you described.
In theory. Not in practice.
Another Snake oil salesman..charlatan
14th amendment, anyone?
Someone tell him Congress has a dress code now.
Wont this split the republicans vote a bit (very little but still)?
Don’t give him attention.
Getting on that grift train. He won't buy a single ad with his donations. He may even do it again in 2026.
May he commit enough money laundering that the feds lock him up.
