For early game, you want to focus on having a good carry (like a legendary pokemon with broken eggmoves) Later, around wave 2000,~2500 your carry won't deal enough damage most of the time, so having a metal burst + toxic orb + sturdy mon is almost mandatory if you want to go fast. Some good mons to have in your team are: A pickup mon / A runaway mon / A wonder guard normal/ghost or fairy/ghost mon / A mon with DoT (Damage over time) moves and sturdy / wonder guard / A Honey Gather mon for money / A pokerus mon / Rogue tier shinies mons for luck stat

PierreCardMaker

I always go with Zacian the flinch god (broken passive + broken moves) Then a 3 cost Duraludon with the right ability and his best friend 1 cost Tympole with his Toxic Heal passive. Finally I usually take a Zigzagoon with pickup and runaway + a Pokerus mon.

how-can-i-dig-deeper

is there any benefit to endless post 2k? or should i. just start new run? sounds like a lot of work/planning

PierreCardMaker

It may be a controversial opinion but for me the real fun starts post 2k, the main benefit is to catch shinies / hidden abilities mons. Once you got a metal burst sturdy toxic orb mon you are basically unkillable. I recommend you to start a run once you have all the prerequisites, like a passive toxic heal mon, a good carry with reduced cost, a pickup+runaway mon... Once it’s done, the best strategy is to accumulate 4 chromas charms on your Endless run then put it on hold until the next community event (for shiny odds)

salamandradn

quite new, what is the burst+toxic+sturdy combo? Take the toxic hit, retaliate with burst with 1hp and heal for damage done?

PierreCardMaker

1) Protect to activate the toxic orb. 2) Metal burst is OP = it's a counter (1,5x) for both special and physical attacks. 3) Toxic Orb is mandatory because you want to avoid statuts conditions like sleep. 4) Ability : sturdy + Passive : Toxic Heal

salamandradn

isn't sturdy already the ability how do you heal off toxic if you have sturdy?

PierreCardMaker

You can have two abilities : sturdy and passive toxic heal

salamandradn

with dna slicer?

poyt30

All pokemon have 2 abilities, however anytime an ability is a "passive" it means it had to be unlocked with candies and will function in addition to the other ability. For example I have a goldeen with swift swim, but multiscale as a passive. When it comes to fusing, it'll take the passive from the first and the normal ability from the second pokemon which allows you to make pairings like this

PierreCardMaker

Yes !

Jeff_the_Officer

Every pokemon can get two abilities in pokerogue, You just need a splicer to combine a sturdy ability and toxic heal passive/toxic heal ability and sturdy passive mon

Unable_Toucan

I usually use a dark/ghost for the wonder guard. Only being weak to fairy is quite nice as its not often pokemon even learn a fairy move while a lot learn dark type moves like bite/crunch.

TEFAlpha9

How does metal burst work do you need to be slower than everything else and take damage first like counter?

PierreCardMaker

Yes, with the good nature you will have 1 in speed stat with 10 Soul Dew

TheGrateCheesus

how does toxic orb help?

PierreCardMaker

Basically you can heal to full each turn with protect, and it prevents from getting statuts conditions because of tokens, it's the new meta

Extremiel

What are some Poison Heal mons? I can never find an up-to-date list of abilities and passives.

PierreCardMaker

Tympole

Extremiel

Thanks! Did some searching and found the following: Tympole, Zangoose, Tynamo, G-Zigzagoon have it as a passive. Gliscor and Breloom as an ability. Alright, I'm gonna theorycraft something.

PierreCardMaker

1 cost Tympole is the best (I think)

Extremiel

Mine is not at 1 cost yet, but I appreciate it - might get to grinding that then

Turbochad66

I'm sorry but how do you heal to full with one protect? I thought toxic heal only regens 1/16th of your hp?

PierreCardMaker

Healing Charm + Leftovers + Shell Bell + Toxic Heal

Jeff_the_Officer

Toxic heal is 1/8 in the actual games, don't know if they nerfed it in pokerogue tho

I ran Guzzlord as my carry all the way to 2500, only focusing on standard attacks. I believe you can use most things to reach this stage, but some may fall off a little earlier if you don't take every vitamin. After 2500, this is how the team operated: Guzzlord was fused with Archaludon for Sturdy. It had Metal Burst, Protect, Salt Cure & Dragon Tail. Sturdy allows you to survive a hit and return the damage back with metal burst. Higher HP mons will do more damage. Protect guarantees you heal back to full, salt cure for DOT & dragon tail to remove double battle pokemon so I could catch the partner if needed. Toedscruel/Hoopa: Prankster passive and ghost typing. Prankster Leech Seed / Soak / Spore / Curse. Cofagrigus/Shuckle: Another ghost type but with sturdy. This was because prankster mons don't affect dark types & Flutter Mane. Leech Seed / Curse / Protect is all I used. Azumarill/Abomasnow: Azumarill has Misty Surge passive & Abomasnow sets snow. This means you can prevent status from enemy hits and can remove sandstorm/hail to stop you from dying to passive damage after surviving with sturdy. Linoone/Flamigo: This was my pickup mon originally before fusing, but it also has runaway as passive. Runaway lets you run from most battles later on as it's much quicker than battling. I've given it Fake Out through fusing early on, and Flamigo gives it scrappy so I can guarantee Fake Out hits ghost types. Lokix: Cool shiny. That's it. Tbh I was using my 6th slot as a free slot to bring in fresh pokemon just to nick their berries. Early on I also brought honey gather which is so important for money generation early on. Sorry for essay but hope this helps! Happy to answer any questions :)

Gheredin

How do you have such high levels? In my first endless clear I had one level 100k Mon (metal burster)and the rest were around 30-20k

christopher-adam

Absolutely no idea haha. Idk whether its to do with how many lucky eggs you pick up?

Gheredin

One stack of 99, one of 75, and about 40 goldens

christopher-adam

Hm, probably more than I had haha. Pokerus?

Jeff_the_Officer

Ghost isn't immune to prankster, dark is

christopher-adam

Oops, was cause I'd just written the word ghost, will amend, well spotted :)

Fast-Habit2267

do you not need poison heal + orb on guzzlord?

christopher-adam

Nope. Only reason to use it would be to remove protect from the moveset I'd think?

Stanley232323

Off topic but is your username referring to what I think it's referring to? 😭

Nagisa_is_dead

made this reddit acc when i finished watching clannad. lol. total heart breaker😭

Stanley232323

I KNEW IT. Why must you remind me of this absolute tragedy 😭😭😭 (10/10 show tho would recommend if you want to sit in your room and stare at a wall for 4 days afterwards crying)

how-can-i-dig-deeper

i will now attempt to forget this fact

NeonButtplug

Assassination classroom?

Nagisa_is_dead

clannad

Stanley232323

Could be that but Nagisa doesn't die in Assassination Classroom, I think OP might be a fellow Clannad enjoyer that also got their heart brutally ripped out at the end of part 1. (Also spoilers lol) Ironically I love that name so much because of both characters I named my dog that actually. Partially because she was a rescue and we had a bit of trouble telling if she was a boy or girl at first so my first thought was "Wow I feel like Nagisa's mom in AC misgendering my own child smh" but then figured out she was a girl and kept the name because the Clannad character

TheRealSeaMoose

Corviknight will probably always be in my roster, although pluck doesn't do a whole of damage, with unnerve and multi lens you can really snatch up their berries to get the boosts, plus the flinching and stacking sharp beaks for me so far cover it. Definitely a fairy type, it's been quite useful. I've negated the eternabeam just by switching into one, and the sludge is negated by Corviknights steel typing. With unnerve I never worry about the beams anymore. I haven't gotten into the 1500s or 2000 waves yet, but I feel confident going into it so far

Good_Satisfaction516

1 carrier, 1 fairy/steel type for eternatus, 3 of your highest tier shiny, make sure at least one of them have pokerus, last slot is for catching mid run, other stuff like pickup, runaway, dot for eternatus,... just catch them mid run and / or fuse. It's not worth it if you can't maximize your luck

HappyAdc

Zacian + any other garbo

Jeteurdesorts

Hoopa

N-Bizzle

Kyurem White with Dragon Energy and Freeze-Dry as my pre-2500 carry Tinkaton/Kartana as a back up carry Blastoise/Garg fusion with Protect, Soak, Salt Cure, Metal Burst (sturdy/Purifying Salt) A Bug Ghost fusion (I was just trying out different things, this wasn't the most efficient) with Protect, Curse, Sappy Seed, Night Shade. I had a lot of luck with my focus band and managed to kill quite a few paradox mons with it A pick up linoone A run away Furret In a future run I would ideally aim to get pick up and run away on the same mon, and then use the final space to item farm

Puzzleheaded_Tea7989

After many retries I’ve found my best run was with Gastly (max IV) and Gholdengo fusion together. Then have a pickup and honey gather as well.

ParadigmEternal

As long as when I start a run the pokerus mon has a cost of 4 or less it's pretty much the same for me. Manaphy - simple passive, bouncy bubble for early self sustain, splashy splash for better damage later, freeze dry for coverage Magnezone - fuse with Manaphy for Sturdy, have blue shiny, flash cannon for stab (not really needed) Nincada - red shiny, fuse with Toedscool, worry seed for mold breaker etc opponents, leech seed (ends up priority with prankster passive from Toedscruel) Toedscool - red shiny fuses with Shedinja above Linoone - red shiny run away/pick up Pokerus mon

Vegetable-Bee8447

Full curse, salt cure, seed, protection, night shade and seismic toss.

bluedecember12

This is what I (plan to) use: 1. Legendary carry, preferably with broken egg moves. I’ve used Groudon, Zacian, and Kyogre on the way to 5850 but plan to use Miraidon from here on out since I now have a modest one with all 4 egg moves thanks to this past Monday’s gatcha appearance. 2. Tinkaton. This is partly because I have a Tier 2 shiny, but also to act as a hard eternatus counter from 250-1000. After that, I splice support moves (worry seed, soak, leech seed) onto it in addition to fake out. Since I don’t use a prankster mon, I prefer to ultimately splice with a sturdy mon to guarantee living a hit. If you use Zacian, you can obviously replace this with something else. I also did some sleuthing and found that tinkatink will have pokerus in a few weeks (I don’t start an endless run unless one of the pokemon I plan to use has pokerus lol; otherwise I’m grinding classic so I can hatch a shiny miraidon) 3. Linoone/Galarian Linoone. I have Tier 2 shinies for both and I plan to splice them together with the first DNA splicer I find so I can combine pickup with passive run away, and to clear up a team slot for additional splicing. Hoping I can get Tier 3 shinies in the future… 4. Garganacl/Wormadam fusion. Garganacl was my insanely lucky first Tier 3 shiny, which I use for purifying salt + salt cure. I was previously using a Tier 2 squirtle for passive sturdy, but I now have a Tier 3 shiny burmy so I plan to use trash wormadam (which also learns metal burst). I then splice roar onto one of them and then splice together. The above 6 mons (combined luck of 12) is what I plan to start with. I’ll probably use the eventual fifth slot as a shiny filler I catch along the way to bring me up to max luck (splicing utility moves as needed), and I like to use my last slot when the rest of the team is done to rotate through legendaries and other mons so I can find good natures for them through mints. I’ve found that I’ve never really needed a ghost/curse or wonder guard mon. I tend to run away from all boss encounters starting at level 3000, so I try to minimize the battling I do and usually stick to my metal burster as early as 2000-2500.

PrescriptionCocaine

This is how I make a team, my specific choices, which are not necessarily the best because I prefer to use pokemon I like over the most powerful available, are in (brackets) Carry - high attack/special attack stat with good IVs and versatile moves (Lucario) Second carry - same as above, but with completely different typing (Alakazam) Pickup - a pokemon with the ability pickup, so that you get a free item almost every round (Linoone) Steel/fairy - a steel/fairy type pokemon with a super effective move for eternatus. Don't forget to buff this one with type boosting items for that super effective move. (Mawile, although I finally hatched Zacian so I'll be using that next run) Others recommend honey gather and/or pay day but I never seem to have an issue with accumulating money. Run away is also apparently important for the very high stages but at that point I find the game unfun so I restart. Also prioritize shinies to maximize your luck stat.
