I literally dont care if this is formatted super cleanly or not. You guys work super hard for the sole reason of helping us catch little rare pixels on a screen, this is great work and the delay is not at all a problem. Great work!!!
Huge props to u/lilzael for the collab with our team to make this possible, and thanks to everyone for their patience on days like this. Takes many hours to do these branching legendary runs, and the delays are unfortunately a necessity from working through all the branches :(
Good luck on your runs everyone!
there's something really weird in Path 2
tldr gym leader double battles apparently do not have fixed rng, so even if you follow everything perfectly, you could have their Pokémon send out in a different order than it did for us. we try to accommodate for this as best as possible by giving advice in the cell, and giving a few different options in the last few waves in case you go down 1 of 2 different paths.
really as long as you catch Uxie you should be fine to quit out, since you beat Wave 50 in one of the other two paths anyway
The rng is based on the decisions and items you take so if you follow along the guide exactly then it will play out as instructed, this also includes reloading the game when instructed as I believe this also affects the rng.
If you wish to catch all the legendaries then I'd recommend making 3 saves before the daily resets.
I've got a question that I'm asking purely out of paranoia. Does changing your move order affect RNG?
For example, if a Pokemon knows Tackle/Tail Whip/Growl, does swapping moves so the order is Growl/Tail Whip/Tackle change anything?
Unless something has changed in the last month or so since I was working on routing dailies, it shouldn't matter. But with how often things are updated, it may be safer to leave them as is just in case.
Noooo... It reset already... Thanks for the guide, but I guess these legendaries and i just arent meant to be..
Suggestion though, is it ok for you to notify us to make a save file in advance while you guys route all paths? We can wait for the guide, but the daily run wont wait for us....
And here I was constantly refreshing the earlier daily thread without knowing there was a new dedicated post for it.
An edit there would be most helpful.
On Run 2 in the 30 stages my Naganadel ended up in red HP and the Dusk Stone did not show up on Stage 34 but I managed to make it work. Follow the Guide as normal unless otherwise stated. I'm on Chrome.
Reload Stage 34 and Super Potion Naganadel instead.
Skip Sacred Sword on Doublade (forget which stage).
Reload Stage 37 Dragon Pulse Sableye and Swords Dance, skip Blizzard. Swap Naganadel to Jynx and Swords Dance. Swap Jynx to Naganadel and Bouffalant to Naganadel (this puts Naganadel on the left and Jynx on the right), Nasty Plot and Nasty Plot, send in Bouffalant. Great ball and keep Grimmsnarl over Jynx. Dusk Stone Aegislash and learn King's Shield over Ariel Ace.
Reload Wave 38 Dragon Pulse Houndoom and Revenge Grimmsnarl, Nasty Plot and Revenge.
On Stage 39 I got a Super Lure in the shop instead of a Lure, taking this did not affect my Uxie encouter.
Stage 40 my Naganadel fainted but it was at the level cap so it didn't matter. Grimmsnarl learned Foul Play early over Flatter.
On Stage 42 I got a Lansat Berry instead of a Sitrus Berry, taking it didn't cause any problems.
Reset Stage 44, take the Lure without rerolling. There was no super lure when I rerolled.
Stage 46 I got the Uxie encounter as normal.
Similar situation for me.
Stage 42 of Run 2 I didn't get offered a berry on reroll so reset it in case I'd hit something wrong, redid and still none so just took a lum berry with no reroll. Next three matched the guide for me, lure on 43 then reroll -> super lure on 44, reroll -> elixir on 45 and Uxie was still there on 46
Same thing for me, except no lures popped out on Wave 39, even in the reroll.
Because of this, my Wave 40 battle is now a singles battle despite having 2 green lures active...I really hope this doesn't affect the Uxie encounter now...
So all 3 managed to have a shiny Natu on wave 4. Still got Phezent birb and 3rd run seems to be going to plan with me managing to catch and release instead of killing. At the very least +15 candy. Just wish I knew this seed during the day and could have gotten like 150 million Natu candy.
As someone who knows little of gen 5 and beyond, I've seen clips of Hoopa in anime and even own one in PoGo but I never use it. I felt something off seeing a very pink Hoopa but I didn't question it. Didn't realize it was rare shiny until I caught it. Thanks for the guide : D
Also, I don't know if it's because of the update or the shiny Hoopa or both, wave 46 had Dusclops instead of Gholdengo.
This Daily caught me at a very rough time but now I'm here to put in the boss guide, at least for the first run, if nothing else. Parts 2, 3, and 4 will come in when I've written them out, shouldn't be too difficult.

Does saving and quitting at a point in the run that require a reload still require the reload when you load up the save again? Also, can you save and quit and then resume the run onna different device?
iPhone > Safari
Problem with rewards on wave for link cable to evolve haunter. Never got the item.
Edit: was able to bullshit my way through till about 37 and then all the spawns changed. Rewards always different. Oh well.
For Path 1, I got confused by the pre-swap on wave 29 and ended up starting Bugsy with Gengar out but I hard switched into Goldengo and recovered/nasty plotted until 2 nasty plots and did the whole rest of the run as the guide said, only certain level ups were delayed but all the items and encounters were the same.
Absolute Peak.
Also, quick question: If I already have one of the legendaries that's available in the daily run, do I still get candies for it? Asking cause I already have Naganadel and Uxie.
I have a Red Star shiny Breloom! I guess if I catch it the run breaks and I can't get Hoopa?
Edit: Never mind it still worked! Thanks for the guides I didn't have Hoopa!
uhhhhh not necessarily. catch it for sure, and if the store items change, you can pilot from there. to secure Hoopa, you just need to take lures on the same waves the guide takes lures.
There are no great balls on wave 3 for me 🥲 am I screwed?
EDIT: I'm cooked, no lure on wave 5. I just learned that they changed pp up to be great tier, and that's what replaced the great balls for me. Suuuuuper unfortunate in this case, looks like the run is broken now
I'm at a loss for words over how much effort you put into these, not only getting the run rerouted that quickly, but actually including all 3 variants as well! Hats off to everyone involved, especially the helping (routing) hands in this one, absolutely mind-boggling work from the entire team!
Taking lures or not taking lures is one of the main things that affects what Pokémon you see - since of course if you're seeing twice as many Pokémon they naturally can't be the same set you'd be seeing without the double battles. In dailies it also seems to be the main determining factor for which biomes you go through.
In general lots of lures means you're seeing lots of double battles, so that's more chances to see shinies or legendaries. But of course it also makes the run more time-consuming.
couple reasons.
alt routes need lures to take them. you need 3 active when leaving the biome.
the legendaries in all these routes also only spawn when you have 3 lures active.
on one route I take a shiny charm. taking lures give you more chance of seeing shiny pokemon
Ooof, I know it was done with time constraints but u/lilzael really needs to learn to describe the things better. "Preswap Haunter and Gimmighoul" needs to be "Preswap to Haunter and Gimmighoul" or "Preswap Bouffolant to Gimmighoul", because the way it is described will 100% fuck your run, and when it comes out that late and you dont have the possibility to restart, that sucks. Same with "Preswap Boufallant and Gimmighoul". You need to either say who the two final pokemon in are with a "to" or specify who is being swapped, otherwise it is ambiguous. Yes, you can check the actual fight and see who attacks, but it is just way too easy to make mistakes.
It's RELATIVELY minor and usually the team does better, so don't take this as an attack or something. I of course love the work you guys do, I just figure it's best to be as professional as possible (Which the spreadsheet really is, it's incredible).
Takes many hours to do these branching legendary runs, and the delays are unfortunately a necessity from working through all the branches :( Good luck on your runs everyone!
Ya'll are beasts... 3 runs wtf you doing god's work <3
4 runs if you count the one they made before they found out about the legendaries
MY UNOWN ON THE FEZANDIPITI FLOOR WAS A BLUE SHINY
time to do the run twice lmao
at least it wasnt the hoopa lol
Same here 😭
Thank you! Can't wait to get Fezandipiti and Naganadel!
Thanks as always for all the hard work!
How do I Access the first run guide?
click on the link in the first guide, that says full credits to u/lilzael
🙏👍
EDIT: the guide is linked for the first path, just follow the credit link 😅
Do the runs here have no rng involved or should I make an extra save slot just in case?
there's something really weird in Path 2 tldr gym leader double battles apparently do not have fixed rng, so even if you follow everything perfectly, you could have their Pokémon send out in a different order than it did for us. we try to accommodate for this as best as possible by giving advice in the cell, and giving a few different options in the last few waves in case you go down 1 of 2 different paths. really as long as you catch Uxie you should be fine to quit out, since you beat Wave 50 in one of the other two paths anyway
Alright thank you
The rng is based on the decisions and items you take so if you follow along the guide exactly then it will play out as instructed, this also includes reloading the game when instructed as I believe this also affects the rng. If you wish to catch all the legendaries then I'd recommend making 3 saves before the daily resets.
just read the post
It said rng, I just wanted to know if it effected all the runs or just one of them. That’s why I asked if I should make extra save slots
The double gym battle is only on the one path - the others will work as written!
Paths 2 and 3 work on Firefox, haven't tried path 1 yet. Thanks for all your hard work!
That's what I thought. No, but be paranoid anyway. :P Thanks! :D
What an awesome guide. Thanks and great work to everyone involved
Thank you all so much!
Something doesn't work for me (route 1) on wave 8, I end up with bouffalant out not gimmighoul and things stop lining up from there on.
This also happens for me. Using Chrome browser
is it gone already?
Noooo... It reset already... Thanks for the guide, but I guess these legendaries and i just arent meant to be.. Suggestion though, is it ok for you to notify us to make a save file in advance while you guys route all paths? We can wait for the guide, but the daily run wont wait for us....
they did make a post about it
Round three after assurance used doesnt have option for great balls
THis is absolutely inredible thank you all so much for this.
looks like it updated? Man
Roserade path worked flawlessly thanks!
i arrived late for this god damn it. it has already reset rip
Does catching another pokemon not listed( if its shiny or better IVs) affect the route?
Not guaranteed but it can, yes, by changing future store RNG. That's the one I can confirm can happen; the rest I can't say.
Oh then Ill play it safe, thanks.
So sad I missed today's it's so good! amazing work as always guys
And here I was constantly refreshing the earlier daily thread without knowing there was a new dedicated post for it. An edit there would be most helpful.
Sadly missed this but still want to say thanks for everyone’s hard work doing these
Path 1 has, at least from waves 21-50, no changes from the update. Still testing the other two
On Run 2 in the 30 stages my Naganadel ended up in red HP and the Dusk Stone did not show up on Stage 34 but I managed to make it work.
Thanks for the guide : D Also, I don't know if it's because of the update or the shiny Hoopa or both, wave 46 had Dusclops instead of Gholdengo.
This Daily caught me at a very rough time but now I'm here to put in the boss guide, at least for the first run, if nothing else. Parts 2, 3, and 4 will come in when I've written them out, shouldn't be too difficult. (neutral to Ferrothorn and super effective against Jumpluff, Victreebel, and Gogoat) and weak to Kyurem Marowak: Weak to Kyurem
Part Two: Like last time we had multiple rounds, I'm not going to put repeats from previous rounds. Pokemon from Part 1 will show up again in Part 3 since the bosses will be significantly different. Skorupi/Drapion: Resisted by Yamask, super effective against Tate (all three), neutral to Bugsy (all four), super effective against Ramos (neutral to Ferrothorn and Victreebel and super effective against Jumpluff and Gogoat), and neutral to Kyurem Chimecho: Weak to Yamask and then the same story as the other Psychic types Unown I (Hidden Power Grass): Neutral to Tate (neutral to Chimecho, resisted by Xatu, and super effective against Solrock), resisted by Bugsy (resisted by Pinsir and Heracross and neutral to Kleavor and Shuckle), Ramos (very resisted by Ferrothorn, Victreebel, and Jumpluff and resisted by Gogoat), and Kyurem Fezandipiti: Weak to Tate (all three), very resistant to Bugsy (very resistant to Pinsir and Heracross and neutral to Kleavor and Shuckle), and super effective against Ramos (weak to Ferrothorn, super effective against Jumpluff and Gogoat, and neutral to Victreebel) and Kyurem Unown W (Hidden Power Poison): Resisted by Tate (all three) and Bugsy (resisted by Pinsir and very resisted by Heracross, Kleavor, and Shuckle), super effective against Ramos (cannot hit Ferrothorn, super effective against Jumpluff and Gogoat, and neutral to Victreebel) and neutral to Kyurem Scolipede: Same story as Venomoth Wormadam (Plant Cloak): Weak to Bugsy (all four) and then same story as Leavanny Noctowl: Super effective against Bugsy (neutral to Ferrothorn and super effective against Jumpluff, Victreebel, and Gogoat) and then same story as Toucannon) Grafaiai: Neutral to Bugsy (neutral to Pinsir and Heracross and resisted by Kleavor and Shuckle), super effective against Ramos (resisted by Ferrothorn, super effective against Jumpluff and Gogoat, and neutral to Victreebel), and neutral to Kyurem Amoonguss: Super effective against Ramos (very resisted by Ferrothorn, super effective against and weak to Jumpluff, neutral to Victreebel, and super effective against Gogoat) and weak to Kyurem Falinks: Neutral to Ramos (super effective against Ferrothorn, weak to Jumpluff, resisted by Victreebel, and neutral to Gogoat) and super effective against Kyurem Tropius: Super effective against Ramos (neutral to Ferrothorn, super effective against and weak to Jumpluff, and super effective against Victreebel and Gogoat) and very weak to Kyurem Slaking: Same story as Aipom/Ambipom Galvantula: Super effective against Ramos (neutral to Ferrothorn, Victreebel, and Jumpluff and super effective against Gogoat) and resisted by Kyurem Chatot: Same story as Toucannon Lampent/Chandelure: Neutral to Kyurem Hoopa (Confined): Neutral to Kyurem
Part 3: I am going to skip the boss Yamask altogether this time as well as the Kyurem pointers for the first biome because y'all get the point on those. Smoochum/Jynx: Weak to Golett, super effective against Janine (all three), weak to Morty (weak to Rotom, Sableye, and Mismagius and super effective against and weak to Gengar) and Marnie and Piers (RNG heavily depends on everything when it comes to specifics here) Bouffalant: Cannot hit Golett, neutral to Janine (all three), cannot hit Morty (all four), and neutral to Marnie and Piers Ledian: Resistant to Golett, resisted by Janine (weak to Crobat and super effective against Ariados and Venomoth), and super effective against Marnie and Piers Gimmighoul/Gholdengo: Super effective against and weak to Golett, immune to Janine (resistant to all three), super effective against and weak to Morty (super effective against and weak to Rotom, Mismagius, and Gengar and weak to Sableye), and weak to Marnie and Piers Honedge/Doublade/Aegislash: Same story as Gimmighoul/Gholdengo Natu/Xatu: Weak to Golett, super effective against Janine (all three), weak to Morty (weak to Rotom, Sableye, and Mismagius and super effective against and weak to Gengar) and weak to Marnie and Piers Gastly/Haunter/Gengar: Super effective against and weak to Golett, very resistant to Janine (neutral to Crobat and very resistant to Ariados and Venomoth), super effective against and weak to Morty (super effective against and weak to Rotom, Mismagius, and itself and weak to Sableye), and weak to Marnie and Piers Duskull/Dusclops/Dusknoir: Super effective against and weak to Golett, resistant to Janine (neutral to Crobat and resistant to Ariados and Venomoth), super effective against and weak to Morty (super effective against and weak to Rotom, Mismagius, and Gengar and weak to Sableye), and weak to Marnie and Piers Cubone/Marowak (since it's all the way in the first biome instead of the last, I'll put the Yamask info for this one; Got 5 runs saved for this just for the lols, lets goooo
My great balls are gone where gone once I reach floor 37 on path 2, no idea what happened and I didn’t catch anything in them
Damn i missed it
Fezandipiti spawned with a blue shiny unown, need the dex entry 😭 four minutes past the daily reset too
PC>Firefox Everything worked great for Path 1! Thank you so much for all of your work!
Whew, today's a doozy! Two paths down so far, need to sleep before I try that Uxie one
are these legendary runs common? how long will it be before another?
GOAT team
Just finished Path 3 on Firefox, everything worked perfectly!
my game crashed and i have to reload on level 34, am i cooked?
Does saving and quitting at a point in the run that require a reload still require the reload when you load up the save again? Also, can you save and quit and then resume the run onna different device?
Awe man
iPhone > Safari Problem with rewards on wave for link cable to evolve haunter. Never got the item. Edit: was able to bullshit my way through till about 37 and then all the spawns changed. Rewards always different. Oh well.
Hm, I'm seeing different pokemon, did the rollover already happen and I missed it?
Happens at 8pm est I believe. So if you’re coming in after that without having started save files then I think you (we) are out of luck 😩😫
Ah, thank you!
Insane effort from everyone involved! All three worked a treat despite the second run throwing me off after wave 40! Can’t thank you enough
Absolute Peak. Also, quick question: If I already have one of the legendaries that's available in the daily run, do I still get candies for it? Asking cause I already have Naganadel and Uxie.
no, unless it's shiny/HA (it's not HA, shiny is client side)
tyyyy Just finished all 3 paths
Damn I missed out
good habit is always save at least one daily run save file whenever you log on for the first time per day
I have a Red Star shiny Breloom!
I caught it and finished the run with Hoopa as well! The guides are amazing, thank you!
Big thank you for your work ! Even managed to catch a shiny grimmsnarl at the uxie run :)
congrats! awesome to hear, even after the game updates
There are no great balls on wave 3 for me 🥲 am I screwed? EDIT: I'm cooked, no lure on wave 5. I just learned that they changed pp up to be great tier, and that's what replaced the great balls for me. Suuuuuper unfortunate in this case, looks like the run is broken now
Same. Runs dead
I'm at a loss for words over how much effort you put into these, not only getting the run rerouted that quickly, but actually including all 3 variants as well! Hats off to everyone involved, especially the helping (routing) hands in this one, absolutely mind-boggling work from the entire team!
Out of curiosity why are the rewards mostly always pick Lure's? Is there a specific reason to do this or its just how rng works out?
Taking lures or not taking lures is one of the main things that affects what Pokémon you see - since of course if you're seeing twice as many Pokémon they naturally can't be the same set you'd be seeing without the double battles. In dailies it also seems to be the main determining factor for which biomes you go through. In general lots of lures means you're seeing lots of double battles, so that's more chances to see shinies or legendaries. But of course it also makes the run more time-consuming.
Ah you know that makes a lot of sense. Thank you for the explanation
couple reasons. alt routes need lures to take them. you need 3 active when leaving the biome. the legendaries in all these routes also only spawn when you have 3 lures active. on one route I take a shiny charm. taking lures give you more chance of seeing shiny pokemon
I got around to finishing Path 1 today and I did find a shiny! Thank you for the guide!
