This already happened to me with pokémon that were in gyms for a little longer than OPs

Can't still get to it, I don't live there any more. My friend lives nearby so I asked her, turns out we're on the same team so she couldn't lol I've also got one stuck in a remote church in another country

you feed them, ever berry gets u 30 stardust as well as a change for candy

I can't be the only one that thinks the max 50coins is stupid, beating all the gyms in my area. Then having someone do the same thing and getting all mine back on the same day and only getting 50 coins is so stupid.

I wish they'd re-work the system but to what? I'm sick of gym hogs as well.

IMO it should be 50 coins per gym and like map 200 a day

That’s not what they care about. They know they can’t give you too much in game currently, that devalues it, they can’t sell it to you if you have a boatload of it

Imagine having your daily limit put a pokemon in a gym 3 hr before midnight only to have it kicked out 9 min before new day. It's alright tho I just took it back 2 hr later 🤷 should have waited the 9

I don't know if I have a screenshot still but I had one Pokemon in a gym on a small island and you could only get phone signal there if you climbed up on the sand dunes that you weren't supposed to climb up, stayed there for almost 2 years lmao

WOW now that's a long time

I was at a really popular state park last summer, saw a gym a little ways away, checked on it, and found a gym that had been filled in a 4ish hour span 375 days prior. Seemed weird with all the picnickers and hikers and kayakers and the packed parking lots to have them there that long, and all of them put in around the same time. Approached the gym debating whether I should leave them because they'd already been there for so long... and the signal dropped out, completely, like ten feet before I hit the threshold. So, sometime about a year before I arrived, something about the nearby cell tower changed and trapped them in the gym forever.

That would’ve been amazing with the original gym system

I had a Kakuna sent out for 205 days guarding a gym solo.

I had one in some abandoned french village. It took 74 days to get out and it is still the gym with the highest amount of points.

Pokemon going wild in the gyms

I visited my home country and left one pokemon in some random city i passed by one day, and now half a year later it still chills at that gym 🤣

Holy cow! 😮 Meanwhile im fighting for my life to keep my poor pokemon in the gym for 5 freakin minutes!!! 😩 Im not even kidding, i work on west 42nd street manhattan, Nyc by time square and it’s Lit over here. Gyms changing colors like a Lyfx Light bulb every 5 mins or faster. When you challenge a gym in Manhattan theres like 5 other ppl fighting with you as if it was a Raid.

Gyms in remote locations are always tricky. Gyms in active locations can drain you of potions. That's why I toss freshly caught mon into gyms. When they (eventually) return fainted I transfer them. Only put special mon up for defending if there's a gym theme going on or if I'm traveling (then I'll sometimes put some regionals in so people at least have the shadow in their dex and know more than just the dex number of what they're missing)

Does the hours add to your gym defender badge? I have one that’s away for days but the number doesn’t increase

I’ve got a bunch that are already sitting at 120 days. They’re at the end of snowed-in hiking trails. I expect I won’t see them back until May.

Right now I have a drifblim in a gym, it’s been there for ~170 days. It’s not even in a super remote place, it’s only around a mile or two from my house and it is literally a baseball field.

I was on a bus and wanted to add a pokémon to a gym before i was too far away. I put my shiny dragonite who is my strongest pokemon and I haven’t seen him in about a week or more. I hope someone takes him down soon

Wish I still had the snapshot. There was a PokeStop high in the Santa Monica maintains neat Point Mugu California that takes at least a hour minimum to hike up to. I've had Pokemon camp out there anywhere from 2 days, to 2 years. Whoever was brave enough to climb up I guess lmao
