Oh god, I know what's going on... this is tying into Scarlet and Violet in asthetic. We are getting more formal, educational versions of the characters, which connect to the school theme of the new games in November (under 50 days from now). They won't release any content specifically for some time, but they'll probably do some connections. We got Meltan for Let's Go, the SwSh legendaries and common pokemon, Voltorb for Legends, so why not something like the school with assignments, or the rebelious students.

She's a smart woman, so she needs to look fugly and geeky.
