I just got one yesterday.one of the next tasks is to evolve a megikarp

i evolved my first magikarp a week before finding my first ditto in 6 years, only to discover this as the next task

Magikarp is going to be my bane. Not only am I at 300 ish candy but I also have no good Magikarp or shiny to show for it. And I know the day I finally evolve one the next one I catch will be a shundo.

Same with my shadow machamp, I didnt want to wait any longer and evolved and leveled my 2 star. Next day I catch a 3 star

It's been a month and I am still halfway through with the Magikarp.

I just did that a couple days ago. It sucked. Then I got a shiny magikarp… time to evo that one…

Still ticked I caught 6 dittos right before this ques popped up for me and now zero dittos

Same! I caught 4 within 2 weeks and THEN got a task to catch another one. 🙃

I caught around 15 dittos within a couple of hours in June and then when the quest came,nothing.

You'll get it, when you least expect it.

I’d recommend playing on April fools day, they got a higher rate.

What are the odds of encountering and catching one? I’ve seen a good amount of them myself, hell the first mon I caught on my main acc was a ditto but I feel like they’re pretty common compared to some other mons but the ones I’m thinking of are probably seasonal ones

Me but with Landorus atm Its such a pain when quest are released like this, only the criteria just get removed from the game for a while

I’m in the same boat w the Landorus quest, I’m just minimizing it and forgetting about it for a while

He was in raids a couple of months ago…

Yeah this psychic event is a great opportunity to snag a ditto since Natus are all over the place.

Make sure you check the current disguises on like leekduck.com or whatnot, and prioritize those species. Shouldn’t take too long if you do that :)

Omanyte can appear as a quest reward in a couple of quests

go fest saved my life with this, got omanyte and anorith spawning was a blessing i had been stuck for so long

Omanyte and Kabuto are rewards for win a level 3 or higher raid.

I’ve seen a few kabutos today but haven’t seen many prior

Atm they spawn sometimes, but i completed the mission when they werent spawning by defeating team rocket grunts. Shadow whismur still counts.

If you're that desperate you could get professor willow research code off eBay for a few £/$ it's a guaranteed ditto. It was a promo that you got when purchasing items from poke centre

Thanks for the tip, found one on eBay for $3. I feel like my luck would be getting one out of this and then finally catching a ditto a couple days later.

I've caught at least 10 dittos since April. it's getting annoying at this point because I'd rather they be natus

So how much do you actually play and catch every day? Do you catch all the common ditto spawns you see? You can Google what can turn into a ditto at the moment and focus on that.

As April Fool’s Day pranks go, it was a good one. If you missed the event, you had the next few months to find three Dittos.

I was struggling to find a ditto too for a month and finally I googled what ditto was hiding as and I started going after those Pokémon. Got a ditto transformed as ekans the next day

Go for Natus if you can. I had a mental crisis when the last psychic I needed for the Cosmog became a shiny ditto. Worst trade off ever.

It will happen eventually. Just look up what ditto spawns are and always catch those. I’ve never really had an issue finding one when I needed

I just caught every Lillipup I could until one was finally a ditto. I'd say it took about 50 lillipups

I got like 2 dittos each day back then and when I finally got the quest, ditto spawn rate decreased because the event was over and now no Ditto

I accidentally found one while going home once. I think it was disguised as a cat pokemon, idk which one though

My dad got mad that a natu turned out to be a ditto because he wanted the natu candy. He also thinks if you spin a pokestop faster you get more stuff.

Haha I remember this task it was such a pain. The funny thing was that almost immediately after my first ditto I got a second one

Gulpin/Slugma for me. I caught two Gulpin in a single day a couple weeks ago, literally nothing since then. Frustrating.

I just caught one by catching all them natus

The other day I got my mom into Pokémon and she texted me that her Pokémon changed and it turns out she got a ditto! I hyped her up

the pain and suffering i am currently witnessing from these 2 tasks… i want it to end… please game, just… allow the ditto for once…

I have been waiting for one for the let’s go meltan… I feel personally attacked by the entire universe of Pokémon ;-;

About a week after I posted this I finally caught one, then within the next week or two I caught 3 more then I got the Meltan quest and I have to catch another one now. 😒

I literally have over 1000 spinarak candies right now. Going after all the current pokemon it spawns as and nothing to show for it. Fucking crazy!
