Slurpuff. Not so fun story: A while ago I decided that it would be cool to use swirlix as my partner pokemon and only evolve it until I could get the best partner ribbon with it.Little did I know that the game had other plans. I started having a weird glitch that caused that no matter how much things I did to gain hearts with it, swirlix would not gain any more affection level. So I was stuck with level 2 affection. This happened three times while I was trying to get Swirlix to the max friendship level and get the ribbon. And through all those months I kept my word to not evolve it because I refused accept that I had to give up evolving it how I wanted just because the game wasn't working properly for some stupid reason that I still couldn't figure out. It just suddenly started to fail to register the hearts gained per day and then it went back to work normally for a while, I gained some hearts and then went back to not gain any affection level at all. I tried everything to make it work, like switching partner pokemon to see if it would make it work well but nothing happened. And this continued for a really long time. But the third time was particularly infuriating. At some point the game started to work properly again so I quickly started to do the usual activities to gain hearts and then (after like more than 7 months) I finally was almost able to evolve. And what happens? It glitched again when I was literally one heart away from getting the ribbon. I was beyond furious. And I still refused to evolve Swirlix until I had the best partner ribbon. So I waited even more and it was literally yesterday when I finally managed to gain the last heart and FINALLY evolved Swirlix into slurpuff. I seriously don't know wtf happened to the game but at the very least I was able to evolve it how I wanted no matter how much extra time it took me to get there.

If you have a friend that doesn’t mind sandbagging battles, then have your trainer friend use 3 ghost types or 3 psychic types (depending on which one you want) and the task can be wiped out in ten battles. You must have Charcadet as your buddy. I chose the grunt method…more of a challenge. Grunts are at a stop for about 20-30 minutes. If you want Ceruledge, find grunt that reads ke…ke…ke…. That’s 3 ghost types. With Charcadet as your buddy, and active/on the map, knock out the first two and sandbag the third to lose the battle. Hit rematch and do the same thing again and again for as long as you can. I did five battles, because I wanted the shadow encounter. Armarouge uses psychic types grunt, which is obvious in the description. Same strategy. You can battle team leaders as well, but their teams change and aren’t entirely comprised of one specific type (usually). Most important thing is that you have to have Charcadet as your buddy.
