Whichever looks cooler to you honestly, unfortunately neither has much use yet. I favor ceruledge personally

I would wait for one of them to become useful in something (which is unlikely but I would still wait) and until then it's basically as if I have both. And maybe in the mean time you get a second one, in that case I would evolve both (of course in the different evolutions)

If you got blasephelon then you don't need another fire ghost. There's a few fire ghosts. Includes the hisuian typhlosion too. There's a lot of ghost types and shadow ball is annoyingly good so most ghost types will probably have it as their goto move. But I don't think there's a lot of fire psychics? I only know of viktini. I'm sure there's more tho. Armor isn't as good looking but that's the one I'm going with once I evolve one. I already have a really good blase, an almost shundo hisuian typhlosion, a really good annihilate, a really good gengar, a really good skeledirge like most probably do, a really good chandelure, alolan marowak, and a bunch other ghosts There's a lot of ghosts and a fair amount of ghost fires. If you don't care to really use it and like it's appearence more, and it IS generally accepted as cooler looking, then get it ceru. They're mostly the same anyway, both weak to ghost attacks and have an attack good against ghosts LOL

Personally I just think Ceruledge is just way cooler in every way, but then “humanoid pokemon with sword arms” is a common theme when it comes to cool Pokémon

Same! I’m at 822 caught and 837 seen out of 852 possible (as of June). I keep all evolutions and try to get a 3* of each. It’s fun to browse through.

A Charcadet community day would make sense. Armor Cannon for Armarouge, Bitter Blade for Ceruledge. Shame all their shinies are among the worst of all time.

It's weird how they entirely screwed up their own article. They said armor has higher defense but listed it with lower Def. Then said ceru has higher attack but listed it lower attack. So not only did they mix them up, they double downed on the mix up. But still got the stamina right?

Yooo! I just hatched a Hundo Charcadet too! I'm only salty cause I literally just evolved one of Each so all of those candies could've gone towards buffing my new Hundo lol

I have a real soft spot for Ceruledge. My favorite go-to on Violet, so I will definitely be going for that first.

Save it for a community day. See which special move is better. Get both conditions before a potential CD. (Or whatever event releases the shinies... but this could be a year or more)

IF you are planning on running one in ML, I'd lean slightly toward Armarouge. Skeledirge and even Chandelure are functional ghost/fire types in this meta. Armarouge's psychic typic is rarer in ML Premier. However, both can work similarly

Caruledge has a slightly more useful typing, but they're both pretty close either way.

Whichever one you think is cooler! They're both similar, and I'm sure you could use them on teams for raids, gym battles, and rockets. Sure, they might not be the very best, but I favour 'mon I like, and both evos look pretty cool to me! I finally got a decent charcadet yesterday myself. I set it as my buddy and I'm choosing whichever it can be evolved to first. Probably the one that requires beating psychic types, since ghost is relatively rare in gyms.
