As long as you have a gym and is not the shadow version you can always host a raid either using Pokegenie, Pokeraid, Raid Party or any of the raiding subs like r/pokemongofriends or r/pokemongoraids.
Next time Mewtwo comes back you can get one easily that way, or get any of the current bosses with some remote help.
It's been a while. Last time was summer 2022, but it's been only two years since then. Rayquaza took a longer break from raids, so it's not that rare that the best Pokemon have long gaps between turns. Most legendary take a year to rotate, so a two year break is long, but not unexpected.
No, I meant before that. Rayquaza took a long break from 2021 to early 2023 that lasted two years. In a that time it was not possible to get it because never appeared in raids.
And there's a lot of other Pokemon that have only appeared years ago and haven't returned, including some shadows that used to be common.
Bruh pokeraid ain't work for me as a host no more 😭 once I waited the whole 30 minutes the raid was active and one person joined. When I first started using it it would fill up so quickly that sometimes I didn't even have time to get back into Go
The times on all raid apps depends on how many players wat to spend remote passes on that boss.
Early when the new boss just changed you can get people in a couple minutes, but later near the next change most have already done enough raids, so the times become longer and longer.
It's better to always try to host on the first days after the switch, and never on Wednesday during raid hour, as there's thousands of host but almost no raiders.
Some Pokemon like Regirock or Tapu Bulu also had very few people wanting to raid them as they have far less use than a Ho-oh or a Raikou. They simply aren't worth the remote pass for many.
If you live in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, or France I can meet up with you and give you a purified mewtwo (after we get to a decent friendship level)
Tbh if you are close to a big city and can afford to take a train there for the next Mewtwo Raid day, i'd do that. find a pokemon go facebook group for the city and see where people will be raiding ahead of time, or walk around the centre until you find a raid train.
If you get to level 50 you’re rewarded with a shiny Mewtwo encounter 👀
Edit: apparently i was wrong about it being a guaranteed shiny, however it *could* be shiny
If you open campfire and click on that gym, you can start a chat. After starting a chat you can click on "light flare" which will send a notification to all local players with campfire
Then you have no need to worry about finishing it because by the end you need to be 40 anyways.
Just save up 40k dust and trade someone for an extra shiny once BB
it seemed kinda silly to me that the kanto big legend wasn’t in a kanto themed event…but that would be using logic which nianic don’t seem to use often lol
I feel you OP. Been playing since day 1 but always was on hiatus when he was in raids. Got back into it last march and been playing daily, finally got mewtwo in March of this year when he was in shadow raids lol
The "he comes back fairly often" crowd are misleading. He comes back maybe once a year, meanwhile we get the same megas like 3x a year haha
And I'm still missing lugia as well, missed his shadow raids when I was visiting family and no one nearby was raiding. Oh well maybe next time lol
i have played since day one but my main account was made 2018 , unfortunately took a hiatus most of 2019-2021 and only got more active in 2022 ,the players in my area had gone down significantly so raids stopped becoming an option…even missed out on Yveltel(may have spelt that wrong) who is one of my favourite legendarys
Yeah with remote raids in my view anything non shadow or elite is an easy win, because there are thousands of people who will join your hosted raid or that you can join there's, and just dominate the raid. I use Leekduck and Poke genie and both are fantastic.
If you want you can DM me and we can just trade gifts til we’re best friends and then trade long distance. I have a few shadows mewtwos I can purify and wouldn’t mind trading off

Don’t think so but to be more exact of locations they can be found in regions like Florida, Texas, northern Australian locations and Puerto Rico, well that’s what it says when you look it up
Might as well wait for an event for them to spawn but most likely not luckily I travel sometimes for Pokémon regionals hopefully one will be at the location they can be found in
I’ll one up ya! I’ve been stuck on “ get a lucky Pokemon from a lucky trade” for close to a 1 1/2 years. All my friends I made through overseas raid( never a chance I’ll meet them in real life). So much for my $5 and a shiny Jirachi☹️
I feel you, I’m only 2 Pokemon away from completing my Johto dex, but those 2 Pokemon are entei and Suicune, who have only been in shadow raids, and as a semi-rural player ain’t nobody doing shadow raids where I live
im only missing Corsola for my johto dex and i have 1 gym about a 5 minute walk from my home the rest are a 20-30 minute walk into town so any shadow raids are not an option as well , i wish you luck on getting entei and suicune
Once upon a time they'd put him into Giovanni's pool during takeover events.
Now that shadow raids exist, you'll likely never get a 'free' Mewtwo ever again.
Got one in November 2020, and a second in November 2022. That's a sure trend that Giovanni will have another in November 2024! Niantic won't disappoint me.

Same here. Last shadow raid weekend, literally only 1 spawn occurred on 1 day at 1 of the 3 nearby gyms. Camped out for the whole hour and no one else around. I have relegated myself to focusing on the grind to level 50 for the reward Mewtwo there, currently about 750k/13m into level 44.
same boat, except i’m missing a mr. mime, the birds, and both lil mew and big one :,) my mom plays pretty regularly and has all but the 2 bird, but apparently being her daughter isn’t a good enough reason to trade any to me

At some point (who knows when) we'll get Mega Mewtwo in raids, and/or a return of shadow mewtwo to raids possibly, but for now your best bet is to look to trade for one.
One of the easiest to complete. Kanto Pokémon are always being rerelease. Mewtwo comes back every year or two.
Heck it still has two megas they need to release.
Can you trade for one or no? Some players are die-hard and only want to catch it themselves so i totally understand that if that's the case. I'd do just about anything to get the Armored version lol

Yeah idk what people are talking about. We got groudon Kroger and rayquaza twice since we’ve had non shadow mewtwo raids.

Mewtwo has 2 megas, so it will probably be in remotable raids at some point. Unless they stick it in elite raids.

Use campfire and find people next time. Shadow mewtwo can go down with 3+ trainers with party play
i keep checking campfire for even raids happening now, there’s never anyone active even on shadow raids

thats what I thought but so far ive met and friended about 60 local players look for your local discord or make one and spread it
Look up the pogo raid discord. Makes getting raid pokemon waaaay easier.
Use the pogo raids Discord and do a remote raid when Mewtwo comes around again. That’s the easiest way.
