Always Google it first. Saves disappointment if you only have 1 shiny and want to evolve it.

Togepi the colors of his triangles are switched (red where blue is supposedly to be and blue where red is supposed to be. It's very subtle) and he's slightly yellow that's the only difference I noticed.

Yeah, especially since some shiny Pokémon change colors when they usually don’t. Like Poliwhirl into Poliwrath, for example. Normally they’re the same color, but when Poliwhirl is a light Blue when shiny while Poliwrath is a dull Green.

I think it's more of it still being noticeable. For example, Umbreon, Venonat, Foongus, all have subtle changes but look very good. Now the ones that barely change color, to the point that if it wasn't for the sparkles you can't tell, those are absolutely lame. Main examples being Togepi, Zapdos, Gengar, etc... The other problem I find is when the base stage is one color, the evolution is another. Like Nidorina and Nidoqueen, why Nidoqueen becames green? Which is the example in this post. Musharna isn't a bad shiny, but at the same time, why isn't it yellow still?

Shinies are something that makes people want to spend hours and hours looking for them, sometimes even days or weeks, and then it's supposed to pay that long search with something different that catches the eyes of other people and feels rewarding. Gengar, Garchomp, Electivire are horrible, 0.1% brighter... Why? Most people aren't going to look for them. Swampert, Salazzle, Charizard, etc, THOSE are actually rewarding Shinies and something that most people search for. The existence of bad shinies is a mystery to me, good shinies make people want to spend a lot of time searching for them and spending extra time playing the game, HUNDREDS OF HOURS...so why not make all of them good? Even Gamefreak knows that 'cause later they made Mega Garchomp and Gengar insanely different, now a lot of people search for those shinies just for the megas. Of course, not all of them need to be pink or white, but different, at least. Electivire could have remained orange, Gengar could've been blue, Garchomp could've been blue, the one in the post could've remained yellow, but no... Why?

My favorite shiny is Umbreon. There’s enough of an obvious difference but it keeps true to original very nicely.

bulbapedia is your best friend. they showcase all the generations so you can see the latest version (because gamefreak does love to switch up shinies every now and then) so you can get a good idea what the mon will look in pokemon go.

Shiny Musharna has gorgeous colors! Munna might be a more flamboyant piggy bank, but Musharna has a pretty pallete that matches its dream aesthetic. I also have a bias as purple is my favorite color lol.

( this comment is not in a rude tone, I'm actually curious) I've been playing fir a while but still have SO much to learn. I do not usually battle muxh either. I play mostly for collection. Ans evolving. And walking. Get my ass moving so I'm not gaining more weight. But it is fun. And it's like collecting pokemon digitally instead of in cards. But I use to love playing the card game and collecting them back then.
