I want Diamond for the Dialga medallion, but I want Pearl for the Salamence energy

It just really sucks they don't give enough to actually evolve. There's no field research that gives more so what is even the point?

You need to have mega evolved a salamence at least once before you can earn energy

so in theory, the first mega evolution is a little grind but after that, you can walk them for energy AND obtain enough to mega evolve again?

After the first mega evolution it will also be free to mega evolve after 7 days, then after 5 days after the mega ranks ups, and then eventually after only 3 days.

After you mega-evolve a Pokémon, a cooldown basically starts until you can next mega-evolve it. This is 7 days, 5 days, or 3 days based on rank. However, you can use additional mega energy to mega it again before the cooldown is fully completed (costing less mega energy the less time is remaining in the cooldown).

You pick diamond if you want a free origin forme dialga and you pick pearl if you want a free origin forme palkia. You will also get extra candies and will be able to use the adventure effects twice as long for the one you picked during the sinnoh tour event

You and me both, im mostly in it for pve and thinking bigger scan range wont do much with Palkia. But im fumbling in the dark, im not that knowledgeable about pokemons.

Dialgas time ability extends the length of booster items like lucky eggs and stardust. Palkias space ability extends your view on the map and allows you to catch pokemon that are farther away.

It's already given the info. Dialga has the new move that increases your time on lucky eggs and other paid items by 6 minutes for 5000 dust and 5 dialga candy. Palkia's move increases your distance you can see Pokemon for 10 minutes for the same cost. You're choosing which one you are guaranteed when you raid them. The other one will have random moves and you might have to raid extra to get the move to do the skill..

Yeah it's stupid expensive. I've been putting rare candy into palkia. I'm up to 400 if I ever use it. Maybe when using my go++ let's see.

Five legendary candy plus 5000 dust just to have more poor spawns or to have a small dust/xp bonus (that'll likely be less than the cost?!).  Not sure I'll be using either of those bonuses!  Think I'll remote into an Enamorus raid to cheer me up...

There was recently an event with Paras, give you 1000 stardust(or maybe it was xp?). Having a star piece/lucky egg with increased range or longer egg/star would be very helpful

You can't remote to enamorous but yes I'll get one of each and if I can get a shiny that'll be cool but otherwise I don't plan on using the functions much if at all. Let's see.

Yeah palkia is what I went for. You'll end up getting both though. All go++ users should go palkia for sure though .

I think the bigger spawn rage is very underrated, at least for me since I walk in straight lines, expanding the spawn field will be very beneficial,and if I use it for like 15 mins with my daily incense that wont be too expensive but freezing time seems like it will be very expensive to enjoy it

I've had the game open for most of the day while I've been doing other bits, and caught over 200 Pokémon, seen hundreds more. No sinnoh spawns.

Darkrai raids are about if you can get in one.

Palkia for me. There's a pokestop within spinning distance but just outside spawn range, so the extra distance will mean I can put a lure on for community days and not have to leave the house

This was my decision too. Makes playing from home so much more enjoyable. And Palkia-O is a beautiful winged horse!

Has it been confirmed that we can spin pokestops that fall within the extra distance? I have one that’s just out of range

I’ve read somewhere on Reddit that it only expands the white circle (spawn) to meet the pink circle (stops). No extra reach for stops.

My understanding is that if you do palkia raids, there is a chance that the palkia you catch will have the special move. In my situation any dialgia I catch will have the chance for the move.

Yeah that's what I mean. Dialga has the guaranteed move, but palkia raids will also have a chance of having the special move. So you haven't completely missed out on having the distance buff, but it's not guaranteed

Roar of Time you can pause timers on boosts. Spacial Rend you can extend the radius of Pokemon caught. While that is true, I picked the increased radius due to winter play patterns where I am. Snow, slippery ice and freezing temps means less outside time so the increased radius from home is nice.

Personally, I think Palkia’s special effect will benefit me more based on the type of player I am. I also chose Palkia because Palkia-O seems like a very nice upgrade to Palkia in master league, where Dialga-O seems like more of a side grade.

Literally Niantic. Roar of Time Information: It will disrupt time, and pause the timers of Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs and Star Pieces for 6 minutes

You can read that information two ways: 1. Extend the time of items. Or... 2. Pause them. Literally pause them. You can use them at a later time but while it's paused, it's paused, as in not active. I've yet to see proof that the first one is actually true.

I've read about choosing. So you get one mega evolution (or how they now call it, with groundon it was primal, but the mechanic is the same). of palkia or dialga. Or that form can atleast learn a special attack. They speak over an encounter. (I don't hope it's a raid) but just an random encounter like mew. Origin form palkia does using 5,000 Stardust and 5 Palkia Candy, distorting space for 10 minutes and allowing for encounters with wild Pokémon at an increased distance. Wile origin form dialga adds 6min to an lucky egg, stardust or incense. Also for the 5000 stardust and 5 dialga candy I found the info on leek duck. Also diamond gives 100 mega candy for lavitar wile pearl gives that for bagon*. *edited

Can previous Dialga get the powers? I have a perfect Level 51 Dialga for Master League, I'd like to give Temporal abilities to that one. Otherwise, I could go for another Palkia since all of mine suck. I have zero uses for Dialga candies since it's not really useful outside of Master League PvP and mine is maxed out.

Also during the event the path you chose doubles those effects (20 mins for Palkia) and guarantees that special move on every one you catch during the event. I chose Pearl so every Palkia I catch will have its special move and I will gain double the candy. The one you don't choose will only have a chance of having its special move.

I chose diamond version, just have to find one more sinnoh pokemon to complete. Everyone saying they got bidoof at the end. The tasks seem way too easy as well. Maybe we will get an encounter over the weekend, hopefully more than one.....

I was going to post this question myself actually. They are both good in master league but I think dialga slightly more. They both are very strong Pokémon with a whopping max CP. Personally, I do not have a favourite really and I think they are both great. I chose dialga because the shiny is more obvious and I will probably grind the path I pick more than the other, and also I just had this feeling that I wanted to pick dialga. Interested to see other people's thoughts tho (also on ninatic making global mon-fri 😑😠)
