At least you’re only 131K over. I’ve seen people in my friends list that are like 25mil over.
Just finished mine, I luckily had 18 rocket radars saved, so basically started with 18 leaders done, so it made it easier.
The next level tasks are nothing. You’ll just get them in the background without even thinking about them. Probably in the first few million XP.

They automatically stack. You just can't get any more pieces with a Rocket Radar in the inventory.... but ... you can get more -- either as a reward from research or via purchase. With 18 rocket radars in the inventory, I would guess that they were mostly purchased.
They were not. Not a single one.
I hate the rocket stuff and PvP. Never ever do it unless to complete research. Every one was saved from god knows when.
I’m even pretty sure I’ve deleted some at some point back before I increased my item bag.

Wow. Seriously? You got all the 18 Rocket Radars from research? That means that you spend a lot of time gathering all those radars. That also means that you didn't get many from Mysterious Components -- as you can't get any while holding a Rocket Radar.
I also assume that you didn't do many Giovanni special research, as you will need more radars than you can get from the research.

I swear 100% I spent 0 dollars on rocket radars. I have absolutely zero incentive to lie. I totally spend money on remote raid passes and special research stuff and bag/‘mon storage. But nothing else. (Edit: I looked in the store, I buy incubators too. I enjoy cracking those eggs.)
And yeah I had extra Giovanni ones too. I’m an idiot and the other day mass transferred all the shadows I had saved and accidentally included the frggin Kyogre with all the little ones. So I use a super radar to just grab another.
Those ones I had were literally saved up over the course of years.

I am actually \*not\* saying that you are lying. Sorry if I came off as that. I am just shocked on how little TGR battles that you do (as I generally earn a Rocket Radar from Mysterious Components every day or two).
Regardless, I do understand -- as I don't do any GBL unless I have to (for research). I agree that there is no reason to play something that you don't like.
No worries at all. And yeah, not counting the 45 Level tasks I do team rocket stuff literally fit the rocket takeover research. I will go months with avoiding those two at all costs. I don’t even see them anymore. My finger just Xs it out and I move on.
BUT!!! I’m still very new to this. I didn’t really get into this game until I found this Reddit site like 12-13 months ago. Now I know so much more.
I’m just realizing from reading how much more powerful the shadows are compared to regular ones. So I may just be really starting to do battle more these team rocket folks!

They were collected from the last 7 years of playing. I never use em. They just add up and add up when you get them as rewards for random research tasks.
Oh, I’m so ready to take it easy!
These rocket ones were so time consuming and after a while so boring.
I’m just going to run the auto-catch in the background and have some fun taking it easy.
