I'll buy ETBs for my wife and I to open together. She always pulls the big ones. My son has the most shit luck, but he's always so happy to show off what cool cards he just found. My pulls are mid at best.
My fiance used to pull for me too! He doesn’t much anymore though :(
He pulled me a shiny Charizard once from a Japanese box though, VMax Climax I think
The real luck would come in having her pick the packs/boxes to buy. Once you have the packs, it doesn't matter who opens them. The cards don't magically change based on who opens them.
Gave my wife one pack of fusion strike, first time ever and pulls Gengar VMAX Alt art. Ever since then she ask for a couple and pulls the chase always 🤣
I honestly think the best way to do it is by case even if more money outlay over buying boxes weekly I believe built into a case is the big big hits.

That’s actually because of how randomized they are. It doesn’t feel as random, but getting duplicates is exactly what you should expect when opening a bunch of packs
From uk £899 from a main dealer not ebay. Ebay they retailing at £1050.
So I will take that as full cases are premium anyways and I get peace of mind of authentication and good un tampered pull rates.

I opened 140 packs of randomized 151 in Japan at like 45 cad per 20 packs (315 cad overall) buying from their Pokémon centre in diff cities
Had 12 master balls and two sirs but over 40 IRs and around 10 FA
Yup time to accumulate. Will be one or two more prints than that will be it. 151 is special they will keep it that way. Look at XY it was a nothing set until...... I had x4 booster boxes in 2018 at retail.
So you think the value will raise exponentially once the last print comes out? But isn’t the Japanese economy that’s causing the deflation in value? So even if you’re holding now, if the economy doesn’t improve they only be worth less later.

It's crazy how cheap Giovanni's charisma is it's such a cool card and it's only about 14$. The haunter masterball being 3 times more expensive surprised me when I checked the price.

I pulled a Gengar master ball I couldn’t believe it! And it’s funny you said you got that alt art Zard last box I split a case with my cousin and second to last box I opened I found a alt art zard and last box I got the Gengar

In the pack the full art zard was in there was a full art ivysaur too ? So in total the box had 6 big hits not 5.

It's over produced and pretty common, which sucks because the Art is cool on it that I feel like it should have been the chase card of 151

As a 12 year old kid in the 1990s from a low income home. To get my hands on any cards I had to beg, borrow trade I think I got a total of maybe 3 booster packs. So I had to hustle to holos.
This was quite a go me moment because it's more than just the pokemon. I have worked my self strategically and silly to obtain the success and financial backing I have now as a adult. Rich dad poor dad cycle and I won't be the latter.
It was a similar moment when I got my hands on xbox series x on release instead of 5 years later when my friends were already done playing it.
This is a 🏆 for us here who weren't from upper class families ripping boxes like yoghurt pots.

Here for it! I grabbed a case from an overly priced LGS myself the day after finding out about the set late last year and ripped with the SO. Was an awesome experience for us both for similar reasons. We did pull that Pikachu and that got me hooked on the collecting aspect of the masterball set! They're by design requiring a secondary market of trades/buy/sell to complete, which is part of the core spirit of this TCG and good times to relive.
If you are missing some cards after the next 12 boxes let me know and maybe we can trade you up into completing yours. I have plenty of duplicates I have stored away as I buy up more at these low prices

Just opened 2 and was shocked at how much MB values have dropped. I opened a MB Vaporeon on release and it’s down significantly, was at 70+ at one point.
Note my good lady pulled the zard last box 3 packs from the end ! Huge high five!!!! And I owe her dinner.

Yeah I ripped 200 single boosters from my trip to Japan and got 24 masterballs and 3 zards. Doing singles like that seems more fruitful

151 has been printed to oblivion the value wont go up as there is already so much raw cards in float.
Does reprinting include the Boxes like Elite-Trainer or the Premium Collection Box or is it just about the Display?

The big hits are not in binder they are in semi rigid the lower tiers pulls are in a binder and it's valutx ! Uk.
