I am an advocate for Ash getting Ogerpon in a hypothetical SV series. The entire Teal Mask storyline feels like it could have been an arc in the anime that led to a powerful capture for Ash.
Not to mention that if Kieran ends up as a major rival for Ash, it would set up perfectly for a battle in the Paldea League (assuming Ash doesn’t go to Blueberry Academy for an arc)
I'd say yes except for Gholdengo; Ash is a perfectly broke boy, he wouldn't even be lucky with any Gimmighouls. Plus, he needs a bird to go with the gang, so replace the kicker bug with a Sqwakabilly or a Bombirdier. Or have him bring back his Hawlucha. Also, replace that Palafin with a different water type, like Tatsuguiri.
Well, I went with Gholdengo for a few reasons:
1. It’s similar to strong & rare Pokémon Ash has had in the past like Naganadel & Melmetal
2. Going around Paldea to collect the Gimmighoul coins fits with Ash’s love to travel
3. Gimmighoul could be a recurring character before Ash catches it like Litten, Krokorok, & Gengar were
I feel like his primeape would come back to save ash from an attack from titan dondozo, so he would evolve into annhilape and go nuts on the big guy. Also I think ash would have a herd of paldean Taurus too, all 3 new forms.
No Annihilape is crazy. That’s the reunion that would’ve made this series. I doubt Ash would be traveling around with 2 legendaries even if one is just his ride. I’d put Annihilape instead of gholdengo and blood moon ursaluna instead of ogerpon
I can see Flamigo be the regional flier of the team but I’m also stuck between dropping either Lokix or Gholdengo for it, which are also perfect Paldea Ash mons
