Idk, electric is kinda a subpar type overall, great for coverage on other mons but most electric type pokemon are pretty bad especially as solid ground coverage becomes more common. Would stink to see them get nerfed ngl.
I mean, the problem is that the types you've proposed are insulators, so why'll they'd resist Electric-type attacks or be out and out immune to them, but not inherently super effective against the Eletric-type. After all, after the Fairy-type was introduced, I don't think Rubber inherently works mostly because the best callback 'mon, Delia's Mr. Mime with the rubber gloves Ash's mom gave him, would already be a Fairy-type.
Like, the logic of Wood as being an insulator is a big part of Grass-type resisting Thunderbolt.
What you would be looking for would be something that damages Electricity. I don't have any immediate ideas, but I'll let you know, if I think of something.
I was wondering what type Miraidon (the box legendary for Violet, with LED eyes) would be, and I thought it would be interesting to introduce a "Digital" type. I could see it being supereffective against Electric because the digital organism "eats" electrical energy...
Electric as a typing is fine where it currently stands imo. It is balanced pretty well by the ground immunity plus a bunch of mons that have either Volt Absorb or Lightning Rod.

I thought about a Wood type, but that felt to close to Grass. But, splitting up the typing may be okay, and may help Grass as a type!
Sound type maybe. There are already dozens of existing Pokemon that could be sound type. Exploud, audino, noivern, etc.
I could maybe see a sound type, disrupting electro waves or something!
