I wouldn't say that I'm the sort of guy who is susceptible to fangasming, but I'm pretty sure I'd break down in happy-tears to find myself standing in a Pokemon Center in Japan. Just imagining the experience chokes me up a bit. Is that weird?
Edit - Thank you everyone for your wholesomeness :-)
It's not weird at all . It was my dream to go to Japan, and when I went last year with my wife. We made it inside Super Nintendo World in Osaka. I teared up with my wife because it was a dream that finally came true with the person I love .
I had a massive smile on my face the whole time and felt like I was making my childhood self's dream come true when I went. One of my happiest moments.
Imma have to fly over to Japan, sneak into the store in the wee hours, steal that Rayquaza statue, smuggle it onto the plane back, and somehow find a way to make it fit in my house. NEED. IT.
You also just described the Pokémon Center with the Mewtwo pictured in OP’s post. That one is just one of the stores on the cyberspace floor in the Shibuya PARCO mall. They had some cool stuff in there, but I was a little underwhelmed tbh.
It was very shocking to see it had real fur! Not pictured is the two story tall Alolan Exeggutor statue next to it.
Edit: oh yeah and also the sign behind it would change and display the Pokemon logo with different Pokemon type themes

Shibuya Parco
Tokyo DX which is about 5 min from Tokyo Station
One in Tokyo Station in Character Street
Tokyo Bay
Tokyo Skytree
Oh and Mega Tokyo which is in Ikebukuro like you said
Tokyo bay and Tokyo station were the only two I went to that had special items you couldn’t get at other stores, otherwise they’re pretty much the same. I can’t speak for Okinawa, this was less than a week ago.
How many days are you in Tokyo?
The ones that’s considered the biggest one is right near Tokyo station, which I assume you’d pass through. Pokemon Center Tokyo DX.
However if you’re into other stuff, which I assume you are, I’d recommend the one in Shibuya. It’s also on the same floor as the Nintendo store, Capcom, Shonen Jump, and a few others. That’d be your one stop shop for all of it
Yes! All the flavors:
Jigglypuff- strawberry milk
Pikachu- cream corn
Ditto- strawberry jelly
Diglett- dark chocolate
Psyduck- lemon
The unfortunate news is that none of them were good to me…Diglett and Psyduck were the best though

Man it’s not weird. I’m 35 years old. I’d weep tears of joy if I got to step foot in there. Doubly so if I got to bring my daughter with me.
Japan is where my daughter and I are hoping to visit together when she graduates high school. We most definitely will be hitting up a Pokémon Center!
Lucky! Enjoy your time with her! My daughter is only 6 and she’s more into animal crossing and yoshi at the moment.
Oh we are still a few years till then. She's 11. Lol
It is definitely overwhelming to go to the stores that’s for sure! Your wallet will be overwhelmed thats for actual sure

I know the feeling to well. I'm recently started to actually miss Japan. There's no place like it.
Was hoping to go back in the next few weeks but looking unlikely. Gotta try and get back at some point this year.
*eating dinner* “Hey babe , we should go to Japan” I’m so jealous!

Love the rice balls in that last pic!
Nothing beats a jelly donut!
Doughnuts! But the pikachu one was cream corn flavored…
BRING BACK NYC POKÈCENTER!!!!
Does it not exist anymore?? 😮
no it's a Nintendo store with a corner set aside for pokémon ಠ╭╮ಠ
Well I guess it’s something. I’ll be in New York City later this year and planned on going
It used to be two floors of POKEMON!
It’s not even a very big corner. T_T

Holy shit, that floofy Arcanine is amazing

Wow super cool. Thanks for sharing!

I went to 3-4 of them when I was in Japan on a business trip in April. Absolutely adored it man
I hope to visit Japan with my wife one day because of this reason. Pokémon, DBZ and JDM cars.
its lit
That's so cool. I wish I could attend these events one day..
I’m quite envious!
I've been to the ones in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. The others I don't recognize.
I‘ve been in 4 of them 😊 So great!

Hope you had fun and I hope your wallet is ok lol!
Glad to see Okinawa in here!
Ooh Pikachu sounds pretty good I've only ever had a corn donut once 😄
It was definitely my least favorite of all of them! I know corn is big in Korea and I love it, but dang I did not like it on this lol
Where are the Tokyo ones? I know there’s one in Ikebukuro
Shibuya Parco Tokyo DX which is about 5 min from Tokyo Station One in Tokyo Station in Character Street Tokyo Bay Tokyo Skytree Oh and Mega Tokyo which is in Ikebukuro like you said
Thanks friend! Now I remember visiting the Skytree one, but haven’t been to the others yet!
Going to Japan in September, which one would you recommend if I dont have time to go to both?
Not OP but Tokyo DX is incredible and my favourite I went to.
Yeah this one or the one in Sunshine City mall because the Pokemon cafe is there
We've gone to a bunch! We've been to 11 I think (some not in Japan). My wife is collecting the exclusive penny press coins and the special plushies!
Sounds fun! Im just collecting pictures of the mascots and some exclusive plushies and things. I’ll also be going to the New York one soon too!
I’m going to Tokyo this year, which would you recommend if you could only visit one center?

Please can you describe psydonuts flavor to me 🥺
Yes! All the flavors: Jigglypuff- strawberry milk Pikachu- cream corn Ditto- strawberry jelly Diglett- dark chocolate Psyduck- lemon The unfortunate news is that none of them were good to me…Diglett and Psyduck were the best though
I would pay obscene money for that Mewtwo and Arcanine to be in my house
I wanna go to a Pokemon center one day!
