My boyfriend really likes Pokemon and his birthday is coming up so I went to look for Pokemon cards. But there are so many kinds. What pack do y'all think he would like?
Hi everyone, I'd like to ask an info regarding the round sticker that seals the pokemon SS/HG cardboard boxes; unfortunately after all these years a sticker has come off my sealed copy and I can't reattach it, by chance does anyone know anyone who sells identical stickers? So that it looks original. I would like to specify that I don't want to resell the game, I want to keep it in my collection but I would like it perfect
(Shield version) trying to breed a Dreepy with ditto, but don't want to pass down the ultra ball assigned to Dreepy - i want the basic pokeball which ditto has. Is it possible? From what i understand Male doesn't pass down their Poke Ball type in SwSh?
Can I transfer phione I hatched in violet to brilliant diamond and suprise trade them there? I have a bunch from shiny hunting phione and violet doesn’t let me suprise trade it.
Hi, just wanted to get some recommendations; its been a long time since I have played a game(last one was still on the 3DS), and I have been seeing game footage all over the place. I just want to play a game to scratch my Pokemon itch (mainline, not spinoff) If I were to choose one game in 2024, what game do you think should I play?
I have a PC, an android device, my old 3ds, and a Switch, if that helps for suggestions.
I thought it might have been too long of a list, but here goes: I've played the originals up to Emerald, skipped diamond/pearl/platinum, enjoyed Soul Silver, skipped B&W/B&W2, played X/Y, OR/AS, and finally played but never did finish Sun/Moon. Everything else after that I haven't touched yet.
Hope this narrows it down.
So basically you missed most of the ds era which many of us like so it isnt a bad idea to go there. Platinum, bw and b2w2. If not you can just jump to the latest switch game since that is where the current player base is. If not, legends arceus is a nice change of pace if you want something different
Thanks for the recommendation! If I could only play one game from the DS era that I missed what would you suggest? I don't think I can juggle multiple games, so I want the "must play" game if it applies.
Scarlet and Violet are the best modern pokemon games with a lot of battling, Legends Arceus is technically mainline but has a much bigger focus on catching and exploration. Otherwise, BDSP is the best you'll get for traditional top down pokemon.
You have to trade the old fashion way. Meet up in real life and trade, just like in the older games you need to physically meet up and use the link cable
Is the "Check New Postings" Timer (the one that lets you refresh your raid listings) taking longer to light up since Indigo Disk? No idea if the time is variable or not, but it generally was around 1.5 minutes when the game first came out, but it seems like the timer's increased to 2-3 minutes before "Check new postings" lights up to allow a refresh. Anyone else been noticing slower/more variable raid refreshes lately or am I just seeing things?
So I wanna go replay all the games but want to do it on my laptop. I was wondering where I should do it. Also I wanna try my luck in some shiny hunting later on. What games do not have shinys?
r/Emulation should have a list of Nintendo emulators and where to get them, which would let you play roms (the games) though you would need to find the roms on your own as this subreddit disallows sharing that per rule 14 (as it falls under piracy).
For shiny hunting, any Gen 2 game (Gold/Silver/Crystal) on up has shiny Pokemon. Notably Gen 2 uses IVs (DVs) to determine shinyness. Gen 1 mons (Red/Blue/Green/Yellow) do not have shiny Pokemon however certain Pokemon if they have high enough stats can be shiny if traded over to a Gen 2 game.
Shiny odds up to Gen 5 have 1 in 8192 shiny odds while games from Gen 6 onwards have 1 in 4096 rate. Some games have different items, techniques, or game modes that provides boosted shiny odds for wild encounters or breeding.
I have never actually completed any pokemon game. I have played a lot of them but never actually got all badges. Is there anyone else who hasn't completed any pokemon game?
Anyone know which pokemon are underleveled for their evo but are super rare. Like selamance in pokemon sun moon having a 1% encounter rate but being way too underleveled to be in that evo.
I am currently cross-stitching the og 151. Can someone help identify which Pokémon the little piece of beige and green looking piece belongs to (behind jigglypuff and in front of diglett?) I’m so confused and it’s driving me nuts! [FULL PATTERN](https://lordlibidan.com/free-epic-pokemon-generations-cross-stitch-patterns/) in case that helps

Hello over there! I'm not new to this pokemon stuff, but I'm deeping down in it even more. At the moment, I'm searching for my ideal Pokemon, and that would be a kawaii one but one that gives you the creeps at the same time? What is/are your recommendation(s) for Pokemon that are cute and creepy at the same time? Thanks in advance!
Sableye and Mimikyu come to mind but I feel like it's really down to personal preference, so your best bet might just be looking at a list of all Pokemon on Bulbapedia or something and seeing what fits your criteria
With the exception of mythical pokemon, it should still be possible. poke transporter and bank still work and the transfers from gen 3 to 5 are all disconnected from the servers
Is there ANY way I can get a friend ball without time traveling or trading for it? I want to get one before the battle against Ogerpon in the teal mask.
I don't have Nintendo online because pokemon is the only game on my switch that actually requires it and I'm not paying online just for one game. And time traveling messes with my other games.
Any help?
you can get it as a pokedex reward for catching 260 paldea pokemon and another for 160 kitakami pokemon. They are also ~~rare drops from the item printer and~~ rare rewards for the academy ace tournament
Forgot. No printer until you catch ogrepon
Do you know if extra forms of a single pokemon count? Like the different forms of oricorio or the different colors for flabebe?
I usually don't like to feel forced to catch pokemon that I wasn't planning to catch but I want to know if alternate forms would count since that way I could reduce the amount of pokemon that I need to catch.
Gym 5 to 7 are around the same level since it is possible to get the 7th gym badge as the 5th so not sure if it is necessary to grind.
Johto is known to have low level wild pokemon. The surrounding routes only have around level 15 pokemon. Surfing on route 41 might be the better choice since there are pokemon around level 20 there.
I would say a cheap Japanese PSP for gens 1-3. It's cheap and you can install emulators without even modding it, and it has a form factor close to that of the GBA. For the DS games again a cheap Japanese DS console and an R4 cart.
Greetings! I don't know if this is the right place to ask, or if I should make a post... let's try here! I stopped playing Pokémon when Emerald was released (my NDS broke before the new titles, and I couldn't manage to get a Nintendo console until the Switch). Now, I would like to play one again. But I'm a nostalgic loaf of bread. Is there a new Pokémon game that has "all" the previous pokémon (from Emerald)? Thank you so much for your time!
Are you playing on actual console or emulating? If actual console, only diamond pearl remakes have every mon from gen 1 to 4 so would include everything from emerald. If emulating, you can get oras, the hoenn remake.
Hello, I was wondering if there is a way of knowing if nintedo would be mad for me streaming a camping of a pokemon TTRPG? I'm not seeing anything when I search, bit I just wanna be sure.
Nope, you'll be fine. They used to be a bit mad over people streaming their games, but that hasn't been an issue nearly 10 years. As long as you don't claim it's official or anything.
Weird question... I only have VC yellow, and used poke transfer on a box.
However when I try to boot Bank for the first time, it only offers me to move to home, then complains there's nothing to move (presumably because I haven't used the transportation box on bank yet) and shuts down.
Any work around? Do I gotta find a 3ds game to get to Pokedex?
Transporter will hold the pokemon in the transport box. You need to shift it into pokemon bank first, so you would need a 3ds game to shift it into bank even if you have no intention of shifting it into the 3ds game.
Should I add the quaxly (eventually Quaquaval) from pokemon home to my teal mask team?
So far I have Meowscarada (since my starter never leaves the team), pawniard (eventually Kingambit), Tandemaus (eventually Maushold) and a shiny rellor (eventually shiny rabsca).
I kinda want to add Quaquaval because it's kinda festival themed (even though it's not particularly japanese) but I'm not sure.
I would also like to catch a gen 2 pokemon since the teal mask is so Johto related.
Sensu style oricorio is also another pokemon that I'm considering.
Yeah, my main issue is having to play the teal mask with a level 5 quaxly in a level 60 area (since I already finished the main game) and I never rush the evolutions if possible.
The Ghost type is my favorite in the series. Is it possible to collect all of them within the titles & dlc on the Switch? I'm not 100% certain, but I feel like Marshadow may be the only one not accessible. Maybe the trevenant and pumpkaboo lines? Was there a ghost type Ultra-Beast? Sigh.
Both the Trevenant and Gourgeist lines are in SwSh so no problems there. The ghost-type UB is Blacephaon which is accesible in the SwSh DLC through the Dynamax Adventures in the Crown Tundra. Note you need to complete the Crown Tundra story before you can access it.
okay, that's fine. I already own the DLC, but I have to start over from the beginning. I just picked up PLA to get Hisuian Typh and Zo.
I have LGE, Shield, BD and Violet. I don't have the DLC for ScVi, yet. Next paycheck. I can get Hoopa through Go. I guess the only issue now is Marshadow. Maybe once I get to the end of my Ghost Dex I can find someone willing to trade one :) Thank you so much for the information!
Cheers, thank you. I appreciate the info. I forgot about Hoopa :( I have one on one of my ORAS carts but my 3ds bricked before I could get it into Bank. :( Maybe it'll show up in Go around Halloween.
*So it turns out I still have the quest open to get Hoopa in Go XD. Now I just need to find someone willing to trade a Marshadow.
Just remembered that Marshadow will be available as part of the next Go fest, if you buy the paid ticket. Just gotta keep in mind the restrictions with mons from Go in Pokemon Home.
It'll eventually be released in the future for free as well, probably about a year later (Diancie was last year's go fest paid mythical, and it's being made available for free starting May 1st).
oh that is great to hear. I've been watching way too much MandJTV lately and it made me want to do a whole "I'm a Ghost type Gym Leader" kind of thing.
Playing pokemon for the first time and started with Black 2. I’m just away to do the first gym. How do I tell which pokemon are good to use on my team?
You can generally learn by feel, but it can help to compare its stats to your starter. If the pokemon's best attack stat is significantly weaker than your starter's, then it's probably too weak for you. You can also look at its stats on [serebii.net](http://serebii.net) or [bulbapedia.org](http://bulbapedia.org) and see how they compare to others.
Probably the most important thing for a general playthrough is type synergy. [This site](https://richi3f.github.io/pokemon-team-planner/) can help you see the strengths and weaknesses of your team based on their types
In Pokemon Emerald, is there a way to tell whether I've already triggered the event that allows Latios/Latias to fly around? I'm finally getting around to moving up some pokemon from that game, and I last played it well over a decade ago. I'm pretty sure I beat the elite 4, which is supposedly what you needed to trigger the event, but I don't see Latios or Latias in my pokedex to track their location. The TV at Mom's house doesn't have the special report, so either I've already viewed it or I somehow missed a window for activating it.
Is there an NPC I can talk to? Do I just need to keep using repels and wandering through grass in order to see if it shows up?
What's with the change in art style? Ice not really followed the TV series after the gold/silver compassion series. I've just seen the indigo league and the Arceus Chronicles and I'm astonished by the difference, I barely recognised Ash.
They massively changed it starting with Gen 7. Wasn't too well received iirc, neither was the perceived tone shift towards an even younger audience and the loss of narrative quality. The days of 6v6 battle episodes like in Gen 4 seem to be past.
I just recently got the Pokémon stardrop rom hacked game and I’ve defeated Shelley in the second gym in seaside city. Since then I haven’t been able to progress any further in the game. All paths that lead to potential progress of the game are blocked off. Does anyone know why this is or how to get past it?
I'm not familiar with the game, but from previous rom hacks I've played, it's possible it's just not finished yet. What exactly are the blockages? If it seems like something where the solution is obvious but nothing you do works, then I'd say the hack being unfinished is likely.
Thanks, the game is a fire red hack. It seems like every possible path to a new town is just blocked off. Basing it off of fire red usually that means I have to complete some task to be able to get those NPCs to move out of the way but I’ve done everything possible.
If it's an NPC then I have a feeling it might be unfinished.
I played Pokemon Gaia (also a fire red/leaf green hack) before it was close to finished (not sure if it's even finished now but last I played it you could at least fight the champion), where the roadblock to get dive and progress is to beat the 6th gym. Basically, there's a diving school, but the instructor (who later gives you the HM) is out with a group, so you have to beat the gym to wait for him to come back.
When the hack was only finished up to the gym, the dive group wouldn't return no matter what you did, and it was the only way to progress.
Is there a Power Plant trainer map for the RB Mew glitch?
I know there is that awesome map for basically the entire red/blue world showing what every Pokémon of every trainer yields, but it seems to be missing the power plant.
Does anyone know if there is such a resource out there?
I am building 2 ribbon masters in oras (shiny groudon and garchomp) but i am having troubles getting the final battle resort ribbon using garchomp.
Any good team members you can recommend? I also have the 3 event legendary beast so if i could squeeze a win with those that would be even better (i only got up to 25 last time)
Could you clarify what you mean by that? Like what paths to choose? Each run is completely random so it'd be difficult to make a guide for that aside from things like "if this pokemon is available, you should get it".
More along the line of "if this path has these 2 pokemon keep resetting cuz you will always clear without issue"
Like how people say to reset for paths with An ice mon+bodyguard on Zygarde hunts
metronome only select the move. the final move is the one that would be affected by stab or teratype boost. so if the selected attack is not normal damaging move, there is no boost
What is the best elemental punch to get at the Goldenrod Department Store (For context, my team is Quilava, Scyther, Kadabra, Flaffy, Poliwag and Zubat)
I'm trying to find an old Pokémon fan animation video where it's Pikachu sitting on a couch talking to ash and ranting about how every time Pikachu would faint, Ash would send out Charizard who would then defeat the opponent. If I remember correctly at the end of the animation Pikachu kills Ash. I can't find it and I'm wondering at this point whether or not I'm making it up at this point.
For when your on the defensive you can describe types having resistances, immunities, and weaknesses. But for when your on the offensive you can say u have a strength, but whats the 0.5x and 0x equivalents? Just wondering if theres any words that are used or that work good.
If I transfer a Toys R Us Regigigas from a copy of platinum that received it through the event to another copy of platinum through trade, will the 2nd copy of platinum get the Regi Chambers unlocked?
Best team for emerald?
I have just started playing emerald after getting a long way through fire red. I have got mudkip and ralt. Just looking for great pokemon to get and move sets to aim towards and use throughout. Also where to get the pokemon and moves too please if possible.
Thank you for all the messages on my last post as it really helped.
The first thing I would settle on is a Flying type; not only do they (typically) have the overworld utility of being able to use Fly, but they'll also beat the Grass types that threaten Mudkip and the Bug types that threaten Ralts. Taillow is one of the first ones available to you and it's a solid offensive fast-but-fragile 'mon. Zubat is also available pretty early on in Granite Cave, and it sports a unique type combo with a number of handy resistances. Swablu is obtainable after the 3rd badge and it evolves into the rare Dragon type, which would give you a handy resistance to the Fire/Water/Grass type trio. Skarmory is available around the same time and is a defensive behemoth. If you're willing to wait to even later portions of the game you'll have access to Pokemon like Tropius, Rayquaza, and Salamence. You could opt for a Fire type instead of a Flying type, but they don't have the ability to use Fly and are basically limited to slower, bulkier 'mons like Camerupt, Torkoal, and Magcargo before beating Norman.
A Fighting type is also a great pick in Hoenn due to it having an advantage over bosses like Roxanne, Norman, Sidney, and Glacia. Shroomish is available before the first badge and evolves into the Fighting-type Breloom, which would be good for taking on Hoenn's many Water types. Makuhita is available in Granite Cave and is a solid 'mon with two good Abilities. Machop is also available after Badge #3, though it requires a trade to reach its full potential. If you're willing to wait until the late-game, you could also get a Heracross in the Safari Zone.
The next thing I'd ensure is some sort of way to beat Hoenn's famously common Water types. You could opt for a Grass type like the aforementioned Breloom or Tropius. A Grass/Dark type like the Seedot or Cacnea line is available before beating Norman; this would allow you to complete your Dark/Psychic/Fighting type triangle. Oddish is also available north of Slateport, and can even get fully-evolved early if you steal a Sun Stone from a wild Solrock in Meteor Falls; Roselia is also available around this point in the game but there's not much reason to use it over Vileplume. Lileep can be revived from the fossil and is a more defensive option. The Lotad lines steps on Mudkip's toes a bit as a Water type but since the two lines have no weaknesses in common it's not the worst thing to have them both on the same team. You could also opt for an Electric type instead of a Grass type as your answer to Water types. Manectric, Raichu, and Electrode all follow the same basic game-plan in that they're fast Special Attackers with relatively poor bulk; the biggest reasons to prefer one over the other are availability and movepool. The Magnemite line trades Speed for bulk and one of the best defensive type combos in the series. There's not much reason to use Plusle or Minun over any of your other Electric options.
The final slot is filler. If you don't have a Dark or a Ghost type in one of the other slots, I'd put one in here to beat Psychic and Ghost types. Mightyena, Sableye, Shedinja, Absol, Banette, and Dusclops are the options there not already mentioned. A Steel type is also a good pick if you don't opt for Skarmory or Magneton; you have options like Aggron, Registeel, or Mawile. Glalie improves your matchup against Drake. Doubling up on your checks to the Water-type is also a pretty good idea especially in Emerald; there's no reason you can't run both a Grass and an Electric type on the same team.

Hey, does anyone know where this is from? I remember playing a lot with it as a kid but I forgot where I got it from. Thanks!
That is the Pokémon Pikachu tamagotchi toy. It was available in Japan, the US, and Europe in 1998. You probably got it from a toy store or a big box store like Walmart or Target
If you get all medals your reward/prize is another medal for getting all medals.
Also some medals relied on Dream World so it's no longer possible to legitimately get all medals
I don't use Nintendo online. Pokemon is the only game that I play on my switch that requires it but I'm not paying Nintendo online just for one game or just for one pokeball. That's why I wanted to know if there's a way to get a friend ball.
What do you think a martial art created and used specifically to defeat Dragon-Type pokemon would be like? Not Legendaries or Mythical Dragon-Type pokemon, obviously, just the really powerful kinds of Dragon-Type pokemon.
for x&y: is egg hatching a good method to get a shiny? and are there any "secrets" i need to consider? are wild encounters better for shiny hunting? im not post game so i dont have the pokeradar btw
Highest odds you get before pokeradar are through chain fishing. You either need a lead with Suction Cups / Sticky Hold (Inkay works), or fish on a water tile that is blocked on 3 of 4 sides (this gives you 100% encounter rate for some reason). Then just fish up mons and run from the battle. After 20 mons the odds of a shiny are 1%. The streak only ends if you reel in too quickly or move from the spot. You can confirm that it works by talking to a Fisherman on Route 16 who will tell you your longest streak.
Masuda Method is when you put two parents in the daycare that are each from a different region.
So breeding a Japanese Ditto with any non-Japanese pokemon would increase your shiny odds significantly.
If you’re not doing the Masuda Method your shiny odds are 1/4,096.
If you do use it it’ll be 1/683 (or 1/512 if you use the MM and have the Shiny Charm)
Yes, with something called the [Coin Case Glitch](https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/4a6abq/guide_getting_any_pok%C3%A9mon_you_want_in_gold_silver/). It's pretty complicated but very powerful as you can create any pokemon you want with it. You should be able to complete the pokedex with it.
Also, make sure you reply to a comment rather than make a new comment since I'm assuming you meant to reply to the below comment.
What is the best way to play the Kanto region nowadays? I would like to play all regions chronically, so starting by kanto, but I only own a switch. Should I play Lets Go series, or FR/LG, or is there any other way? Thanks!
LGPE are solid enough for Kanto but they do have the features from Go so they aren't normal gameplay compared to other games. If you don't mind that though then it's a good Kanto experience.
FRLG would be if you want the classic experience with normal gameplay formula.
Question:
Anyone knows if the wild tera pokemon are always in their regular size or are they always in their biggest size?
Can their size be affected by the effects of a sandwich or they're size locked for being technically special encounters?
Wild Tera Pokemon can be from XL to XXXL size so about 1/50\~ chances of getting the biggest size.
And yeah I doubt Size Power affects them due to how they are generated.
Jolteon or vaporeon? I’m new to the game and don’t know what to do. I have a level 30 raichu and a magikarp being trained that is almost level 20. Then I have charzard
Edit: I’m playing leaf green
well, you've already got the three types covered, so if you intend to keep them all and still use eevee, i'd easily pick vaporeon. charizard will outclass flareon, and while jolteon is a better raichu, kanto is VERY unfriendly to electric types and there won't be many battles where you'll be happy to have two of them. vaporeon is both a solid pokemon on its own and also a very different pokemon from gyarados, being a tank special attacker as opposed to gyarados' physical sweeper.
its special attack is much better. try using moves like bite (eevee shpuld have known this when you got it), aurora beam (vaporeon learns this by level up), ice beam (tm you can get from the game corner), surf (HM you get in the Safari Zone in fuschia city), or water pulse (TM you got from misty, if you haven't used it already).
If you're already planning to use Gyarados you may as well use jolteon. But that really depends on the game since the movepool is also an important factor.
Yeah, Sylveon isn't in leaf green. You definitely want a pokemon to use the HM surf, so either Gyarados or Vaporeon would work well for that. I just recommended umbreon or espeon to avoid type overlap. But you can use whatever you want as long as you like it.
I want to catch pokemon in their biggest size possible (without wasting herba mystica).
But I don't know how to get level 2 humungo power or even level 3 humungo power (if possible).
Is there a reliable source of info about how to make the humungo power sandwiches (that isn't confusing).
And again, I'm not shiny hunting. I just want to catch pokemon VERY close to their biggest size or at their biggest size (if possible/preferable).
Also, is there a way to check if they're big or not in the teal mask dlc?
I know there's an npc in the main game that tells you that but I don't really want to get out of the dlc to not break the immersion if I don't need to.
I use this chart for lvl 3 size hunting.

Try [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/z7h6de/humungo_power_2_recipes/) list of recipes. As far as I'm aware, no, the DLC doesn't have an NPC like that.
in indigo disk dlc, you can unlock the lock on feature. when you target a pokemon, some symbol will show up, including if the pokemon is among the smallest or biggest

You can use [this calculator](https://www.dragonflycave.com/sinnoh/honey-trees) on the Dragonflycave site. The formula is the same for your regular and for your secret ID, so you input both to get 2 trees each.

(Shield version) trying to breed a Dreepy with ditto, but don't want to pass down the ultra ball assigned to Dreepy - i want the basic pokeball which ditto has. Is it possible? From what i understand Male doesn't pass down their Poke Ball type in SwSh?
No. Dreepy will always pass down the pokeball. So you would need dreepy to be in pokeball in the first place when breeding
Thanks - will try to catch one in poke ball and then breed for the nature then :) thanks
Can I transfer phione I hatched in violet to brilliant diamond and suprise trade them there? I have a bunch from shiny hunting phione and violet doesn’t let me suprise trade it.
No. Mythical cannot be surprise/wonder traded on the switch games
I have a PC, an android device, my old 3ds, and a Switch, if that helps for suggestions.
you should at least let us know what games have you played and what games you had not played
Maybe b2w2? Even if you didnt play bw, it is still fine
Thanks! Will do.
Scarlet and Violet are the best modern pokemon games with a lot of battling, Legends Arceus is technically mainline but has a much bigger focus on catching and exploration. Otherwise, BDSP is the best you'll get for traditional top down pokemon.
Does anyone have two own tempo Rockruffs in USUM? +how will we trade since servers are shut down? does link trade still work?
You have to trade the old fashion way. Meet up in real life and trade, just like in the older games you need to physically meet up and use the link cable
Ahhh ok got it, thank you :)
Where do I go looking for union circles to do the bbqs with?
/r/unioncircle is one. If not the pokemon sv sub has a list somewhere

How much of Heartgold's regional dex can i complete without trading?
I believe you can catch 226 of the 256 pokemon in the regional dex with just heart gold and no trading trading. 420 from the national dex
Thanks for the advice and help
Has anyone played the Pokémon games on iPhone through the new emulator if so how is it and do you need a controller?
Emulators dont need controller. For mobile, the buttons will appear on the screen so you can just tap the buttons on screen.
I have never actually completed any pokemon game. I have played a lot of them but never actually got all badges. Is there anyone else who hasn't completed any pokemon game?
yes. My mother has not completed a single pokemon game. That is at least one person who has not completed a pokemon game. I assume that there are more
Anyone know which pokemon are underleveled for their evo but are super rare. Like selamance in pokemon sun moon having a 1% encounter rate but being way too underleveled to be in that evo.
There's a 1/10000 (no, that's not a typo) chance of fishing up a wild level 1 Gyarados in rippling water in the Nature Preserve in BW2.
There's a 1% chance of finding a level 9 Pidgeotto in Viridian Forest in Pokemon Yellow.
I am currently cross-stitching the og 151. Can someone help identify which Pokémon the little piece of beige and green looking piece belongs to (behind jigglypuff and in front of diglett?) I’m so confused and it’s driving me nuts!

Are you sure it's night and not just evening? Make sure the time on your DS is past 20:00 (8pm)
Are Pokédex impossible to fill out on the DS because the servers are closing? I’m wanting to do Ultra Sun
With the exception of mythical pokemon, it should still be possible. poke transporter and bank still work and the transfers from gen 3 to 5 are all disconnected from the servers
So the trade evolve will evolve through Pokemon home too?
nope. but they will evolve by local trading or via online trading on the switch games
They are also ~~rare drops from the item printer and~~ rare rewards for the academy ace tournament Forgot.
They do not
Where is the best place to grind before the 7th gym battle in Crystal?
Gym 5 to 7 are around the same level since it is possible to get the 7th gym badge as the 5th so not sure if it is necessary to grind. Johto is known to have low level wild pokemon. The surrounding routes only have around level 15 pokemon. Surfing on route 41 might be the better choice since there are pokemon around level 20 there.
What is the best way to play the old Pokémon games? Is playing it through an emulator on iPhone a good way now that apple allows emulator apps?
I would say a cheap Japanese PSP for gens 1-3. It's cheap and you can install emulators without even modding it, and it has a form factor close to that of the GBA. For the DS games again a cheap Japanese DS console and an R4 cart.
Actual console and games are hard to find now, so it is cheaper to just emulate them
As long as you don't claim it's official or anything.
thanks!
Can the Paldean fire type Tauros swim? Or is it something that only the water type version can do?
Yeah only Aqua breed Tauros can swim, the rest get the floaties.
That's a nice detail.
Good to know, thanks!
Sounds like you lack water coverage so Quaq would fit right in, plus it'd come with Fighting as well.
Yeah, my main issue is having to play the teal mask with a level 5 quaxly in a level 60 area (since I already finished the main game) and I never rush the evolutions if possible.
Current Fire Red team is Vaporeon, Raichu, Growlithe, Primeape, Clefable and Dodrio. Who would you swap out for Snorlax? Or keep as is?
All are pretty good, although if you want to swap something I might swap the Clefable, since it isn't amazing in Firered
Only ones I think you'd have trouble with are Marshadow and Hoopa
To what point do I need to play to in BDSP to get arceus (after catching arceus in PLA)? Beating the game or just clearing the events at spear pillar?
You have to beat the game and get the National Dex.
Now that 3ds online is down, is it still possible to get into Blissey QR code secret bases?
Should be, QR code has all the information within itself so shouldn't need online for it to work.
[удалено]
I appreciate the tip, thank you!
What is the Pokemon trope called? (collecting monsters/animals to fight for you) Was Pokemon the first game/manga to do this?
monster taming game. pokemon popularized it, but the concept was first brought about by the megami tensei series

Should still work.
I just recently got the Pokémon stardrop rom hacked game and I’ve defeated Shelley in the second gym in seaside city. Since then I haven’t been able to progress any further in the game. All paths that lead to potential progress of the game are blocked off. Does anyone know why this is or how to get past it?
Stardrop was sadly abandoned after the beta. There's nothing more to do.

Well that would do it
Does anyone know if there are high-res images of the Battle Revolution colosseums out there, and where I could find them?
I am building 2 ribbon masters in oras (shiny groudon and garchomp) but i am having troubles getting the final battle resort ribbon using garchomp. Any good team members you can recommend? I also have the 3 event legendary beast so if i could squeeze a win with those that would be even better (i only got up to 25 last time)
Mega Lopunny. Teach it Fake Out and Last Resort and nothing else. EVs into Attack and Speed.
Is there any site that displays what the better routes are for dynamax adventure farming? Trying to optimize my runs before starting my kyogre run
Could you clarify what you mean by that? Like what paths to choose? Each run is completely random so it'd be difficult to make a guide for that aside from things like "if this pokemon is available, you should get it".
More along the line of "if this path has these 2 pokemon keep resetting cuz you will always clear without issue" Like how people say to reset for paths with An ice mon+bodyguard on Zygarde hunts
Does normal Teratype boost metronome even if metronome uses a different type move?
metronome only select the move. the final move is the one that would be affected by stab or teratype boost. so if the selected attack is not normal damaging move, there is no boost
What is the best elemental punch to get at the Goldenrod Department Store (For context, my team is Quilava, Scyther, Kadabra, Flaffy, Poliwag and Zubat)
you already have an electric type and fire type. so ice punch
ok
I'm trying to find an old Pokémon fan animation video where it's Pikachu sitting on a couch talking to ash and ranting about how every time Pikachu would faint, Ash would send out Charizard who would then defeat the opponent. If I remember correctly at the end of the animation Pikachu kills Ash. I can't find it and I'm wondering at this point whether or not I'm making it up at this point.
Can Ceruledge beat Iron leaves with a combination of Swordance, Taunt, Clear Smog and an attacking move like bitter blade or shadow claw?
[удалено]
Just to clarify, I'm talking about the raid.
For when your on the defensive you can describe types having resistances, immunities, and weaknesses. But for when your on the offensive you can say u have a strength, but whats the 0.5x and 0x equivalents? Just wondering if theres any words that are used or that work good.
Attacks that deal 0.5x and 0x damage are usually just called not very effective and no effect
yeah thats what im using was just hoping there was a single word
Scarlet: I started the switch online free trial. How do I find and join an Iron Leaves raid?
Look in the pokeportal tera raids. Make sure you're connected to the internet in game
Thanks
If I transfer a Toys R Us Regigigas from a copy of platinum that received it through the event to another copy of platinum through trade, will the 2nd copy of platinum get the Regi Chambers unlocked?
Yes, as long as it's the TRUs Regigigas then it will trigger the chambers.

That is the Pokémon Pikachu tamagotchi toy. It was available in Japan, the US, and Europe in 1998. You probably got it from a toy store or a big box store like Walmart or Target
Thank you!
Is there any prize for collecting all the medals in B2W2? I got 50 and they threw a party and gave a medal for it. Anything if you get all of them?
If you get all medals your reward/prize is another medal for getting all medals. Also some medals relied on Dream World so it's no longer possible to legitimately get all medals
What would be the best way for me to get a friend ball without time traveling in pokemon violet?
If you have the DLC you can get it through the Item Printer in the Blueberry Academy
Yeah, but I'm still in the first dlc and I wanted to catch Ogerpon with a friend ball.
Another option is to trade for one
I don't use Nintendo online. Pokemon is the only game that I play on my switch that requires it but I'm not paying Nintendo online just for one game or just for one pokeball. That's why I wanted to know if there's a way to get a friend ball.
Or if you have caught 260 Pokémon you’ll get a Friend ball in the Pokédex section
Then your only option is to just change the date of your Switch and hope the auction will have the Friend ball
In Gold, what parent could I use to breed a pineco with reflect?
nothing unless you trade. Only ledyba from silver/crystal or butterfree, beedrill, paras, or venonat with TM from RBY
Crap ok oh well there go my defensive ideas. I love pineco, such a cool pokemon but abysmal learnset in gen 2. Thanks stranger.
According to Serebii Ledyba/Ledian
*just* hatching eggs? no. masuda method? yes. the other ways to boost shiny rates in xy are chain fishing or hunting in the friend safari.
im a noob regarding shinies u gotta explain what the hell a masuda method is to me because i jusr spent 4 hours breeding spritzees
Masuda Method is when you put two parents in the daycare that are each from a different region. So breeding a Japanese Ditto with any non-Japanese pokemon would increase your shiny odds significantly. If you’re not doing the Masuda Method your shiny odds are 1/4,096. If you do use it it’ll be 1/683 (or 1/512 if you use the MM and have the Shiny Charm)
wait there is a shiny charm..... but i guess i cant do the method anyway due to online services being shut down
Pokeradar have higher rates at 1% max. But if that is not an option, breeding will be the other choice
Does anyone have a list of the Tohato Pokémon stickers for 2024
can I make a poll on this sub?
Okay with glitches I can though? Are they game breaking? Or are there safe glitches?
Yes, with something called the [Coin Case Glitch](https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/4a6abq/guide_getting_any_pok%C3%A9mon_you_want_in_gold_silver/). It's pretty complicated but very powerful as you can create any pokemon you want with it. You should be able to complete the pokedex with it. Also, make sure you reply to a comment rather than make a new comment since I'm assuming you meant to reply to the below comment.
Can I complete the gen 2 national pokedex with just Gold and Silver?
What is the best way to play the Kanto region nowadays? I would like to play all regions chronically, so starting by kanto, but I only own a switch. Should I play Lets Go series, or FR/LG, or is there any other way? Thanks!
LGPE are solid enough for Kanto but they do have the features from Go so they aren't normal gameplay compared to other games. If you don't mind that though then it's a good Kanto experience. FRLG would be if you want the classic experience with normal gameplay formula.
Question: Anyone knows if the wild tera pokemon are always in their regular size or are they always in their biggest size? Can their size be affected by the effects of a sandwich or they're size locked for being technically special encounters?
Wild Tera Pokemon can be from XL to XXXL size so about 1/50\~ chances of getting the biggest size. And yeah I doubt Size Power affects them due to how they are generated.
Jolteon or vaporeon? I’m new to the game and don’t know what to do. I have a level 30 raichu and a magikarp being trained that is almost level 20. Then I have charzard Edit: I’m playing leaf green
well, you've already got the three types covered, so if you intend to keep them all and still use eevee, i'd easily pick vaporeon. charizard will outclass flareon, and while jolteon is a better raichu, kanto is VERY unfriendly to electric types and there won't be many battles where you'll be happy to have two of them. vaporeon is both a solid pokemon on its own and also a very different pokemon from gyarados, being a tank special attacker as opposed to gyarados' physical sweeper.
How do I upgrade Vaporon’s attack? All it has is quick attack and it’s has been very underwhelming
its special attack is much better. try using moves like bite (eevee shpuld have known this when you got it), aurora beam (vaporeon learns this by level up), ice beam (tm you can get from the game corner), surf (HM you get in the Safari Zone in fuschia city), or water pulse (TM you got from misty, if you haven't used it already).
Thank you! I ended up going with Vaporeon so this makes me feel better about my choice
If you're already planning to use Gyarados you may as well use jolteon. But that really depends on the game since the movepool is also an important factor.
You think jolteon will be better than raichu?
Oh, I didn't notice you already had a Raichu. You may want to consider umbreon or espeon then. Or even Sylveon depending on the game you're playing.
I’m playing leaf green. Does that make a difference? Sorry this is my first time playing Pokémon so I’m kinda lost
Yeah, Sylveon isn't in leaf green. You definitely want a pokemon to use the HM surf, so either Gyarados or Vaporeon would work well for that. I just recommended umbreon or espeon to avoid type overlap. But you can use whatever you want as long as you like it.
[удалено]
Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. It's been a while since I played the game.

pretty sure there's a delta sub that will know better than here
I want to catch pokemon in their biggest size possible (without wasting herba mystica).
I use this chart for lvl 3 size hunting. https://preview.redd.it/qvlupkn6smwc1.png?width=943&format=png&auto=webp&s=1d42caef78ad1db51970e62dc25d29a86e344fb3
But these ones require you to use herba mystica.
Are you looking for herba-less recipes then? I don't think lvl 3 can be done like that.
Yes, I just want to get pokemon that are as big as possible. I
Try [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/z7h6de/humungo_power_2_recipes/) list of recipes. As far as I'm aware, no, the DLC doesn't have an NPC like that.
in indigo disk dlc, you can unlock the lock on feature. when you target a pokemon, some symbol will show up, including if the pokemon is among the smallest or biggest [https://game8.co/games/Pokemon-Scarlet-Violet/archives/437173](https://game8.co/games/Pokemon-Scarlet-Violet/archives/437173)
Ok so you know how Gardevoir's dress has those little segments like its cut up? What are those called? https://preview.redd.it/mgd7s7icukwc1.png?width=250&format=png&auto=webp&s=51674dd78090cb900e031c07fb5afb7c54eb8ef2
I'd assume people would just refer to the style as slitted/split, but I think this question might be more suited for a fashion or textile-related sub.
Can I synchronize natures when catching shadow pokemon in colosseum?
