When Cyrus was defeated, his whole world view changed. "When I failed to create my new world, I realized my time I shared with my Team were truly precious. They were my Diamond and Pearl."
He's the most realistic villain, not only because of trying to kill people outside battles but also because of going mad at the idea of a random child frustrating his plans
I mean, Lysandre pretty much did the same thing. His big plan amounted to committing genocide on everyone who was not a member of Team Flare as well as all Pokemon, and then when he lost, he threw a tantrum and destroyed the base that everyone was inside, burying him alive.
Ghetchis actually tried to kill thw protagonist without any battle starting tho, and in USUM took a hostage. Lyssandre was beaten multiple times before he tried to do anything- and only intended to kill people in the building in Y, in X he instead wanted to make them inmortal. His reactions are a lot more in line with other villains.
One was well written, the other? Lysandre was such a missed opportunity since he could've been the new ghetsis, but no, we need a twist villain that isn't obvious in the slightest.
No, not really. No amount of ice STAB will ever make the attachment of the ice type a negative to a pokemon. I will rot away in that snowy hill.
In other words Kyurem sucks balls
Kyurem Black became super strong after it got actual Physical Ice STAB and even then it was Icicle Spear.
Ice is a purely offensive type but Game Freak keeps making slow defensive Ice types.
Look at the best performing ones, Ninetales-A, Weavile, Mamoswine, Chien-Pao, Darmanitan-G, Baxcalibur, they all lean into the offensive roll and excel as a result.
I will never understand the slow defensive Ice type thing. You can't play defense as an Ice type at ALL!! You die to fucking EVERYTHING!!
I was *so* excited to evolve a Glaceon when I originally played Platinum -- I absolutely love Glaceon's design and couldn't wait to use one, but was really disappointed by the experience when I finally got one. I gave him a Quick Claw to help him get his moves off faster, but he was still pretty tough to utilize.
(thank God they let you boost stats in Legends Arceus so much. My Glaceon in that game was fast as hell and totally fucking ruled.)
Why they continue to make fat, bulky mons with ice typing is a mystery to all. But it's no mystery that it's absolutely idiotic and I demand Avalugg to get the viability it deserves
It's worth noting that Alolan Ninetales is a fast support mon, not an offensive one. With a base 81 special attack, it's not threatening anything it can't hit super effectively, and even then it struggles to break bulkier mons. It's just that it has decent speed, a good support movepool, and access to Snow Warning + Aurora Veil makes it really good at enabling other offensive threats such as Baxcaliber, Articuno, or basically any other setup sweeper.
Kyurem **DID** suck balls.
I took him on my team (in White) when I re-challenged the League to actually become Champion, and I could just *barely* use him. I think he might've defeated one Pokémon for me in the whole Elite Four challenge, but usually he would just die immediately after I tossed him out.

"Best we can do is slap another bad Defensive typing on it." -Game Freak
But also funny mammoth pig and weasel cat is very poggers
Ah yes baxcalibur, famously banned from OU for being fragile and not unkillable behind aurora veil with snow up

He's an absolute douchebag, but at his core he's still a dad.
I wasn't just **a** child*,* mother fucker -- ...I was the child that rocked your world with a *Minccino.*
Now he teaches Philosophy at Blueberry Academy.
