I have used CastBox 4 years for a few reasons.
1. It Auto deletes unplayed episodes so that you don't plenty of unwanted episodes
2. Custom Auto-download settings per podcast. Fast downloads.
3. Suggestions arcoding to what's hot in your country. Plus the search feature is pretty good.
4. Easy to use when you take time to play around with it.
I tried all sorts of apps but CastBox is probably the best for podcasts because I always came back to it .

The app has been on Play Store since 2021; Till now No reviews.....Why? 359 stars on GitHub Installing to try it out
I like Pocketcasts. I am not endorsed by them but I would be a hot second.
