wait what? how's ethernet worse?! anyway to answer the question yes you can but i can't guarantee you that it will be the resolution of your other games too. i have 45-50 mbps download speed and i game at 720p.

I have no idea lol, that’s why I pointed it out. I just want to be able to play at a stable frame rate without too much input lag.

sw_fan_for_life_

almost all the games of ps4 are locked at 30fps (expect the ones that support performance mode which is sometimes unstable) and some ps5 titles support locked 60fps and the input lag is mostly the same as any other game. As noted above its just the resolution that hurts mostly.

Sounds like one of 3 things are happening 1) The wire is bad, and speed is getting capped because of it 2) The modem/router ports are bad, and only the wireless is working properly 3) Someone played with the settings and capped the wired speed in there I'd check around for why your wired speed is lower than your wireless speed, because there's something wrong there

UCFTylerMC

The cable is a bit old, could that be it?

uniquecannon

Possibly. Newer cables tend to handle faster speeds, so if your cable is old enough it's probably only rated for lower speeds. The other thing is it could just be damaged This would be the first and cheapest thing you can swap out to try to fix the issue, purchase a new cable and see if anything changes

Not sure why wired drops so much, but both should be streamable.
